If you start banning server hosts for trying to educate themselves on why their servers are hacked on a hour to hour basis, I am pretty sure that DayZ will start losing its humble server hosts. I for one are starting to get very VERY worried about the current disrespect toward us hosters. The boarder between not going private hive and going private hive is getting awfully thin.

My servers restart every 6 hours, and that's a little bit on the low. I suggest setting up Battleye Extended controls on your server with an automatic restart timer. Edit: Link to BEC http://ibattle.org/

Have you started Arma2 combined operation once? This is required on steam versions of the game. If you need any more help, don't hesitate to PM me.

Hello Scratch. The only way to setup your own DayZ server at the moment (and for the foreseeable future aswell) is to Rent a server trough a Game Server company such as vilayer. Set it up on a dedicated server. If you set up your own dedicated server, you need to register at http://support.dayzmod.com and apply for a Instance ID and a Contry Code. Frankly, I don't think giving the DayZ team more script commands is bad at all. The more the better so to say. Its bad that its easy for hackers to use them, but you have hacking in every game, be it aimbots or xray scripts, weapon spawn or speedhacks. And I think hackprevention is getting better. Infact, its so good at the moment that I get kicked from my own server every time I click "servercontrol". :P
