whoever's in charge of this, please make sure the hosting services you work with have made your hotfix available before letting the update roll on sixupdater. Thanks =) -
Hello DayZ (and six updater) devs, I'd like to take the opportunity to let you know some of the problems we've met when 1.7.2.4 was deployed. To be honest, the deployment schedule was messed up. From my admin point of view, the server update wasn't even available in Vilayer's UI when the client update was. This messed up my team's clients as Six Updater thought it would be a good thing to update all clients, even though they still tried to connect to a 1.7.2.3 server. We had to roll back our clients using dropboxes as, fortunately, one of us didn't used Six updater and still had the right version. TL;DR: So please, make sure the server hosting services you work with have made your update available, before you start distributing the client version. This way, it's much easier for us to manage the migration to the new version.

I also would like a Mil-26 Hind D please. It would let me encounter any small arm fire up to .50cal without harm, even blow up hueys unarmed. Also, a tactical nuke, Sharks with lazors, Maus tanks from world war two and a soldier skin with hitler's moustache please. Come on, are you fucking serious ? -

Hello there, I've been setting up a DayZ server and now that i can restart that little thing, update it, i'd like to get some tutorials to set it up correctly to protect the players against cheaters and script kiddies. Is there somewhere i can find some explanations on how to 'protect' my server? Google hasn't been so useful on that topic. Also, a couple of times, on respawn, i've been seeing some stuck players. Is it possible to get a legal 'shake' script that would move players enough to unstuck them (without being a teleport) ?

Hello there, I have bought a server yesterday - and assumed (stupidly) that i would at least be able to make room for me or some friends. While I admit being an idiot for not looking for some rules before i bought it, i'm really surprised that this is forbidden. So here is how i will proceed: I will accept following the rules of the Mod creators. However, i will probably stop paying at if the whitelisting rule still apply AND that i cannot enjoy playing..err testing DayZ because all servers are full. I understand that locking a server with a password is a kind of cheat. I understand that no bandit can be kicked for PKing. I would enjoy seeing people being able to join and play on a server i paid for. I just don't understand why, when someone pays for your mod, he cannot be at least sure to enjoy playing on the server he has paid for. EDIT: Also, please note that i would have gladly paid for DayZ. I hope we will be able to buy a version of that game to pay the devs for the work they've done.
