Hello, I have no intenstion to exploit this, im not sure if it can be exploited but i have duplicated my character on another computer, both characters can log in at the same time, i would like to know how to resolve this so that there is only 1 character left, i believe it is because i logged into my new computer which transfered my new character to the new GUID but it did not remove it from my old PC. I think that one of the GUID's would need to be scrubbed from the DB but i do not want my character wiped of my new pc. please help!

Cool thanks, I thought that might be the case, the version of arma 2 was installed from my steam though he logs into his own steam to run it the reg entry will still have my CD Key, cheers

ok to clarify, I have given my old pc to my brother and purchased a new one for myself. I installed Dayz onto the new system and logged in with my steam account, my brother has logged into my old computer using his steam account though were both still using my profile. Is this based on the CD key the game was originally installed with? will it require a re-installation from his profile to work? also it caused me to fkn spawn in the debug wilderness and i had to suicide after an hour of running VERY pissed off

This happened to me aswell, lost CZ550 and m1911 all the ammo and my guillie suit.. may not be as impressive as the other losses but it takes a long time to get anywhere in this game especially now because all i had was a makarov i got sniped in the tower i was in and only have a flash light... i know that this is alpha testing and all that but there really should be some sort of recovery or something :( just me having a QQ its the 1.7.1.4 update i played 1.7.1.2 ddnt play .3 went straight to .4 and lost all my gear my bro is refusing to update because hell lose his stuff too
