Except that the .357 Magnum is not a 9mm cartridge. Period. He said ".357 Magnum (9mm)" which, to me reads ".357 Magnum and 9mm are interchangeable." They are not. I wouldn't have to post if people would just spend 5 minutes doing a little research to verify that they aren't completely wrong about firearms things. I know that you play Battlefield or Call of Duty, and that makes you think you know what you're talking about. It doesn't, and you don't. So please just stop posting about firearms things, and stick to what you know, like 9th grade curriculum. -

Bro. Look, dude. Do you, like, understand that when you get on a forum and run your mouth about things you don't know, it annoys people who actually know what they're talking about? Solid, right? Yeah. TL;DR don't post if you don't know what you're talking about. Pretty easy. Not every idea needs to be posted, you know? It's not specifically individual weapons that are or are not civilian legal. Pretty much every assault rifle, for example, can be civilian legal (or, at the very least, has a specific civilian model), so long as the full auto mechanism is disabled. A good example of a civilian rifle is the Ruger Mini 14, or the Saiga .308 (don't know a specific model). -
When I come home at 5:00 PM, it is not 5:00 pm everywhere else in the world. Why is that so hard for you to understand? The only way right now to consistently get a daytime server is: A) play on the most populated servers (they're always daytime), B) play during the day What your idea means, is that people will not be able to get a server consistent with their local time. Which is awful.

You don't get it. For roughly half of the people in the world playing, it will be daytime where they are, and yet the server (because of a universal time), will be in night time. Again, bad idea. When it is daytime where I live, I want to play on a daytime server.

This is a horrible idea because: When I get home from work, it's day time. Which means, for most servers in my timezone, it will be daytime. With your horrible idea, it is possible that, despite it being daytime for me, if the servers are running (for example) GMT, I will be forced to play in night time. When it's day, I want to play in daytime servers. So again, this idea is horrible. I want to play in my own timezone, and specifically, I want consistent server times, not universal. If you don't understand the difference then you're wasting my time.

I guess I can get behind this. Although I would prefer if the community kind of "established" among itself what specific skins were "bandits" rather than the game flat-out telling you "these guys are bad, kill them on sight." I don't want ANY "hard" guides in the game. I like that the game is completely ambiguous. There are absolutely no indicators about anyone in the game other than their actions. I want it to stay that way. I want there to be a selection of skins, and all of them are neutral, with a few of them being "clearly" used by bandits. Too easy to abuse. "Hey, look at me, I"m a friendly survivor, let's go survive together. OH! Now I'm a bandit, and now all of your things belong to me." No thanks. -

You clearly don't know much about guns. .22 firearms are almost always exceptionally accurate. Hence why Olympic shooters use .22's and not other calibers. -
I don't like the idea of "reviving" a dead player. Dead is dead, in my mind. Not to mention, you would need a hell of a lot more than just a defibrillator to revive a clinically dead person.

That's neat. You're still wrong. Olympic shooters in the 50m shoot use .22 caliber rifles, to give you an idea of how wrong you are about accuracy on a .22. -

Oh boy. 9x19 is ... Wow. Like. I can't believe I actually have to explain this. If you don't know that 9x19 is 9mm then you need to not ever get into a firearms discussion. You are the one that said ".357 Magnum (9mm)". YOU said that. Are you an idiot, or are you trolling me? -

People need to learn how to read. The thread is how to LOSE zombies. Not how to distract them. Right now, it's incredibly difficult to lose runners unless you: A) run up a steep incline, or B) run through a building. And B might not always be an option. I think the standing zombies move a little bit too fast, so it is incredibly difficult to lose them around geometry, because they're never far enough behind you for that to matter. I think toning down their speed just a little bit would go a long way to making it more "possible" to lose zombies, instead of being "easy." -
The problem would be that there are people in a huge range of timezones across the world, and all servers being locked to 1 region's time zone is a terrible idea. Good job thinking this one through.

You said that 9x19mm and .357 Magnum are "the same thing." They are not. They are not even close. Was not talking about the practicality of Desert Eagle in a caliber other than .50 AE. -

I'm totally on board with the SKS. As for air rifles and .22 caliber weapons, I'm not so keen. The air rifles would be almost completely worthless because players are wearing pretty heavy clothing, and because I think they would only irritate zombies. .22 would be okay, I guess. I can't really imagine any situation where a .22 is going to help you much. And to be honest, I don't want yet another ammunition type in game. It's already annoying finding Makarov ammo when you don't even want it when you're unarmed. -
This would be a neat thing simply to add more aesthetic variety to the game.

When people say "civilian guns" they're referring to weapons that are legal for civilians to own in a pretty broad term. For example, in many states in America, civilians are not allowed to own a wide variety of firearms. The most common type of firearm that civilians are not allowed to own are fully automatic weapons (fully automatic assault rifles, light machine guns, etc). Civilians are also not allowed to own military explosives (rocket/grenade launchers, etc). At one point, civilians were not allowed to purchase specific ammunition for the FN Five-SeveN handgun or the FN P90, because the weapons were designed to very armor-piercing rounds. Civilian weapons most typically refer to semi-automatic or bolt-action rifles, which may also include smaller magazines. As well as semi-automatic pistols of all types, typically with "standard" magazine sizes, which means no (fully automatic) machine pistols with large magazines. -

So incorrect that I don't even know where to begin. The .357 Magnum is a .357 Magnum which is a considerably longer shell with a larger bullet than the 9x19mm. What you're describing is the more recent .357 Sig, which is basically a 10mm shell squeezed down to hold a 9mm slug. The two are not the same. Also, the .44 magnum may have a slightly smaller slug than a .45 ACP, but the .44 Magnum fires at a considerably higher velocity. Please don't talk firearms unless you actually know what you're talking about. The .50 AE Desert Eagle is an incredibly impractical weapon, and almost exclusively owned by chumps wanting a big trophy gun. There's a reason you don't see very many larger caliber auto-loaders. -

Google "SA 58". That is a FAL clone. If you wanted the SA Vz.58, you should've said so - those are two very different firearms. That being said, why does that need to be added when the AKM and the AK74 already exist in game? -

Has nothing to do with this. The real solution to what you're posting is to fix the game so that uneven geometry, and doors don't break your legs. The thread is about disallowing exploiters from continuing to ruin the game.
