  1. at the moment i like side chat being off if the arma 2 side chat wasn't a big, bright blue piece of shit on which anyone can freely VOIP on, i would prefer it on.
  2. third person gives is pretty unfair in pvp situations, but it's such an enjoyable thing to have when you're NOT fighting that i really can't imagine the game without it. i've played on vet servers before of course (la 5 for lyfe!) but honestly i only want to play those servers if i'm already rolling and i want to scrap with people in elektro. if i'm running in the wilderness or crawling through barns on a new character, third person is a must.
  3. lots of people define banditry too precisely. there are tons of players who normally don't open up on random people, but will get a thrill out of successfully ganking a highly-geared player and getting fast-tracked to power. i for one, would never have a reason to gank some coast noobie, it's never happened to me, i've never seen it happen in person, and i've never heard someone complain about it in side chat even. but if you have an alice pack and a DMR on your back, isn't it just logical that you have a target there too? having said that, i do hope rocket implements a smart banditry/humanity system, because at the moment it's pretty impossible to just team up with a similarly-geared stranger and tackle the world together. it's much more common to get lit up the second you show hesitation because there was no way for him to really trust you. that's where the problem lies, imo, insane no-life gankers will probably always exist (allegedly, lol)
  4. I solve the darkness problem by filtering for "gmt+" in the server list! I can usually find 1-2 low ping, timezone adjusted servers that play like a dream. I live in west coast USA (gmt -7 i believe,) so adjust for where you live ofc.
  5. Does anyone have much success with binding keys to 4th and 5th mouse buttons? The game accepts the key in control, but is always totally ineffective when I get back into the game.
  6. yea dude, they really need to patch that missing shit
  7. rarity of morphine + high chance to break leg (gunshot, zombie attack, glitching thru wall and falling) is pretty off-point atm. for solo players, getting a broken leg in any area of wilderness or any long walk from a hospital is almost an insta-game over. slightly higher morphine rate (especially in early areas, barns, houses etc) would do wonders for this problem
  8. 7.1.1.4 pretty damn fun to me right now only major flaw is the very silly zombie aggro range and retuning of stealth. very very careful crouch walking and proning are the only ways of safely looting now. zombie aggro needs to be toned down because looting is seriously un-fun right now if you try to be stealth melee weapons are awesome, sometimes bizzarre (randomly zombies taking 8 hits to die) but it definitely makes you feel a lot less naked when you are just starting out.
