They're the same damn gun, DMR has a good scope for long distance. M14 has an amazing scope for mid/close range. Take either.

I think he's saying that individual servers could have their own independent databases, but they would be stored on the "master" DayZ server, assumingly to prevent admin abuse of sorts.

edit: nevermind, automated server restart fixed it. (My tents went poof!) Thanks for having such a nice server!

I'm not sure what causes the issue, but I know its server side. Just don't go on that server for a few hours, fixed the problem for me.

You can still place tents, its just very buggy. Find a place thats free of objects with ~3m, doesn't need to be completely flat. Go crouch, Double tap shift, open your inventory, and keep trying to pitch the tent while holding w(moving forward). Eventually you should begin the pitching animation. Make sure you close your inventory before it finishes, and a tent should appear. Being buggy as they are sometimes the tent will just disappear, and of course the server might just eat it the next restart, so make sure you save it every time you use it.

Its very rare, and probaly the best zombie killer due to it's silence and large mag. However ammo is obviously as rare as the gun itself, so it might not last long.

I'm rather happy with this patch, the shit storm 1.7.1.2 stirred up is mostly fixed. My biggest issue is that crouch running is still a bit too loud. I think getting through cities should be a little less time consuming.
