I think having more maps is a great thing, and with rockets announcement of putting the dayz mod code on github, it will help foster even more innovation with this very fun mod. However, after trying out the new Fallujah map yesterday, I ran into a clear case of admin abuse. A guy and his friend kill me, I spend 45 minutes getting back to where I died, I kill the guy, and he bans me. I contacted Vilayer and this was my message and their response: Hello Vilayer owners! I'm not sure where to report admin abuse on one of your servers, so hopefully this ticket makes it to you. I have clear evidence of admin abuse on US 567. The admin is Dustin, and him and his friend Christian killed me. After finally getting back to the airfield, I got my revenge, killed them, and was immediately banned. He actually banned my wife Pandapaws and my friend Kelth shortly after banning me. You can clearly see from the video we broke no rules, these admins were just killing people and then banning when they got killed themselves. They also said things like "this is a private hive, we are allowed to ban who we want" and other things I believe to be untrue (the only Fallujah hive is a shared one that you guys host). Please let me know if I can do anything further to help you investigate this. Do you guys feel that the people that rent your servers should be able to ban other players because they kill them, lock the server and farm loot, kick people not in their clan, etc? I'm well aware of the fact the DayZ dev team cannot police a hive or servers they do not own or monitors, I just want to get the communities thoughts on if they feel this is acceptable. If there's enough people that complain to Vilayer, it's possible that they actually start to...you know, impose actual standards upon their servers. I just feel if they are going to capitalize off of rockets hard work, they should at least TRY to do some form of policing, especially when clear evidence is presented to them.

Yeah, I just wish they would make some effort to police their hive, especially since it's a large shared one. Admins/server owners can police against hackers, but there's no one to police the police like there is on normal DayZ. There's totally a Watchmen quote that would make sense here!

Yes, not only are the only mainly used to prevent new players from accessing popular buildings in Cherno/Elektro, they reappear on server restart. Please remove them. At the very least at least make them go away for good once removed.

Server: US 874 When: Around 10:40 PM EST on 8/27/2012 Location: Elektro What Happened: I fled to the church after a lot of action in the city. After shooting at someone that passed the door he said "If you shoot at me again you will die." Shortly after I randomly passed out and started bleeding. When I got up I asked if there was a scripter in the area. He shot the walls (as a ghost) and said "Does that answer your question?". I left the server not long after that as I didn't want anything to do with the idiot.

A bandit runs in with a silenced sniper rifle and shoots my 2 teammates whom were both injured from the explosion. I unload most of 3 clips into him with my rifle (including several headshots) and he does not die.

Possible but unlikely, also how is that relevant to the conversation? It's not like cheating is all the sudden justifiable if someone legitimately kills you .

Hey kozzy, I was actually the guy that shot you both north of Elektro. We found the ATV sideways on the docks and with a little maneuvering we flipped it back to normal. We started heading north out of Elektro and just after passing the power plant we look to the left and see you guys in the V3S barrelling through the field between the barn and the power plant, right at us. I had a mark 48 so my first instinct was to get out and just light the vehicle up in hopes of making it explode. I got out and started firing, my friend got out but there's that second or two lag where you can't move right after you get out of a vehicle, and you guys crushed him, his body went flying up sniper hill. Then you guys turned away from me, down towards Elektro and I thought you were going to get away. Then suddenly the vehicle stops and I see a death message (driver aka OP). My bullets must have landed. The other guy got out of the passsenger side, bleeding, and went prone immediately but I fired a couple bullets into him and he was down as well. I was pretty terrified at that point since we were right between sniper hill and counter sniper hill, so I hastily hopped in the V3S (without even looting your bodies) and got the hell out of there. My friend ended up getting a decent spawn and got back and grabbed the ATV in time. We left your bodies unhidden with your loot on it in case you came back since we had no intention of sticking around. After that we found a spot in the woods to hide for the night, we used both vehicles for another day or two before they got stolen. It was definitely one of the most intense experiences I've had in DayZ so far so thank you guys for contributing to it! Good times! -Cramer

I've resolved the issue and unbanned Meades, he was not scripting. I had caught a player teleporting with similar special characters at the start of his name, and in my haste to get the hacker off the server, mistakenly banned the wrong guy. I found the actual guy that was teleporting and he is being delt with, apologies for the confusion, Meades is definitely a legitimate player.

Hey Meades, I am one of the admins for US 501, we take a lot of time to parse through logs every day and ban anyone that appears to be scripting / teleporting around the map / spawning in vehicles and weapons / using illegal weapons. There has been A LOT of hacking as of late, and as such we have been banning more and more people for obvious hacking (just yesterday the whole server got teleported into the ocean, a guy teleported around to different players as god mode, then later in the day 4 choppers showed up). It's possible that I made a mistake in your banning, which is why we list the email of our server as soon as you log in - for direct access to us, the admins. If you can PM me one of the following two things: Your full in game name at the time of your ban or your IP address. I will look back through the logs and verify what I had seen, and if we made a mistake I would be glad to unban you. Thanks for playing on our server.

Hey Vipeax, does that mean in 6 hours there's going to be multiple broken down choppers on each server? Or just one per server?
