I agree, I am also a veteran of many years on official servers and I hate this update.

Im not even going to buy the new map. The well thing turned me off to that as soon as I read it. Why waste the money so I can live at a spring? Im still playing the original day z map on official and it is pretty much a waste of time now. Dropping items between characters has been stopped. I set a pristine field backpack down waited 5 minutes spawned in my brothers account and it was fucking gone. Same with clothes, rifles. If you drop anything it has to be in a crate or sea chest or its fucking gone. The disease level is terrible. I spend almost my entire time in game trying NOT to get wet, building fires to get rid of the fucking cough and avoiding zombies completely. I have about a 30% success rate on stealth killing zombies from behind now. Hunter clothes went from best to worst so now I have to go to military bases or convoys to find a decent set of warm clothes. The update sucks.

I agree , I wasted a lot of time getting hunter gear only to find out it sucked like the rest of the update. The field jacket so far is the only jacket that offers best insulation. Another way to force you to go to the military sites. I loved being a hunter gatherer , lone wolf explorer and now? Im wet, sick, dead, cold and not having ANY fun.

I agree on most every point made here. There are other problems as well. I went to drop a pristine backpack to one of my other players. My brother. I waited the fucking 5 minutes and when he spawned in the back pack was gone. Ammo boxes despawning from my cache sites, They have effectively stopped transfers from character to character. This sucks out loud. My game play style has been eradicated. They want you to build bases and multiple cache sites that stay on the server when you log off. That way you can lose all your stuff. The carry weight sucks, The chance of dying from disease has gone up in a big way. I spend most of my time now trying not to get wet, drying out, building fires, This game has become a joke. It is not fun to play anymore. If I wanted a game where staying alive was all about not getting sick ????? I would like it. But I hate it now. I am playing far less now than I was before. I log on and its fucking raining , I log off and still get fucking wet. Its a joke.

Is there a complete official server and player wipe on the 8th or not. ??????????????????

I don't care if they wipe it or not. I just want to know. I'm going out burning up all my stored ammo because Im being told there is going to be one. Killed off three characters . I don't like wasting things.

I deleted the chat, should have kept it. He outright claimed to be in a group of dupers. That may have been enough for a admin hunter to take them out. Instead Ill just give his location up to a some good friends who destroy his kind. I will support the raid. Thanks for the info.

I thought Dupers were eliminated. I was just informed by a player that his crew were dupers . He threatened to hunt me down lol. He also made a sexual statement regarding my wife. He was trying to provoke me. That doesn't concern me but duping does. Dupers ruin the game and should not be tolerated. Who do I report this to?

Okay so far on Xbox I have two bugs to report. #1 climbing ladders on hunting stands ,its like Im slipping off the ladder . I back out a retry and sometimes I can climb other times no. #2 35 second wait till end of last session seems to be happening a lot. I end up not where I exited but the last building I was at. But most of the game is working fine so far.

I don't play on one server. I use 5 high pop, 3 Livonia and several low pop servers. I move freely between them . I have tried or should say my son has tried community servers. One server does not fit my way of playing. I want the freedom of movement between servers with my gear. I like it that the last update saved my progress. I applaud that decision by Bohemia. There is no valid reason to wipe characters . Other games like Fallout 76 don't do it. Like I said before I would like to see a better end game scenario for Dayz. Some "official" servers where experienced geared players can go to avoid the player wipes , zero fresh spawns harder survival. Maybe even have the Russian army or the Western forces return to hunt the remaining survivors . I have played video games since 1979 . I am an old hand at this gaming stuff. I love Dayz as in the concept of it and the zero rules for PVP . PVP in Fallout 76 for instance is a joke where people buy their way to the top. However Fallout does not wipe characters even if you die in game. That goes too far the other way. They make it too easy with zero consequences for being stupid. So in short I don't like Player wipes never have ,never will. I already did the beginning so many times . It gets old.

We all play for very different reasons. I don't want to rent a server or even know the people I'm playing against. I don't PVP against friends. I don't hunt fresh spawns. I want to be the one who decides when I bite it. Not some guy behind a desk. What this game needs is another level. Maybe a couple servers where there are no fresh spawns, where the convoys and helicopters are alive and well and hunting us. Where the best of the best can fight it out till only one is left. Just suggesting a place to go for those of us who have arrived at a different place so to speak. I would rather be moved to such a server with my personal gear and a chance to be the best instead of being wiped . That is all.

I agree, I spent over a year building this guy into a year long survivor. I hate the beginning. Already did that. Now its hard core PVP and staying alive for as long as I can.

I am in Michigan , U.S. I have seen no evidence of a wipe yet. It is 6:30 pm my time may 27

Where exactly does someone report a bug as in lost items?? I have had 3 full backpacks just disappear off of 2 of my guys.

I have run the entire top of the map. Nothing to see there. Go out too far and you die. Lots of players use it to get to Tisy without wolves and bears.

The small number of people here on this thread represent a percentage sample . So I count against the wipe ? about 30% 30% of 60 k is a lot of players. You assume all 60 k are for the wipe. Again, Dayz should add an end game where geared players can opt out of the wipe . Several servers where there are no new player spawns . Where the threat of dying is greater, mpc attackers both Russian and U.S. chopper attacks on player bases etc. If given the option? my guess is that number goes way up.

Thank you for chiming in. They all know they can fix the bugs and balance the loot by wiping the maps. They were going to just wipe the maps at first. for some reason they changed their minds. The few things I can fit in my back pack would not change a thing in game play. A pristine gun cleaning kit will get used up even faster than before as the new ones will be junk. Within two weeks any pristine gear will be gone. All my guns are worn, clothing is worn, I have a pristine hat , boy that will mess up the game right . LOL. How about my pristine lock pick? That should crash a few servers right?

And then have it all taken from him. What is the point of collecting , gathering ANYTHING In this game. Why waste time building a character only to have him wiped. You people are the ones who are nuts not me. There is no long term game here, just the beginning over and over and over and over. Im here to put a bug in the ear of this games developers. Ill be here until the 19th. If they dont rethink the player wipes then Im out. If I spawn in on the beach the 19th? I'm done, my two brothers are done, my wife will not buy the game , my son will uninstall as well. I have three friends on the server who are also going to quit as well. Thats 8 players leaving because of this nonsense. More people are starting to come forward as well. So take note DAYZ you are about to lose a lot of players.

So , wipe the map. erase the caches, bases, etc. but leave the characters alone. simple .

Thats not the point. I already have the things I want. rifles, pistols ammo clothes. I dont need easier loot, I just dont like reclaiming ground I already mastered. Why do it all again? makes no sense. I have not been killed. This is supposed to be a survival game , well? I survived. Dayz could learn a few things from other games that do preserve saved progress. I want to go on further, not return to the beginning over and over and over , and over.

Well, I dont want my own server. I want to play against other players. I love the game just not losing my characters. No other game I have ever owned wipes peoples characters unless they die on game play. I do see that some games do this. Most games however have saved progress like fallout 76. Now Im not saying Dayz should be like 76. That game is a joke and I have played it since it launched on xbox. even players who die dont get erased. That is too easy. I had to make my own rules and erase my characters when they get killed. The first year playing Dayz I starved to death , froze to death, got sick and died, got gassed and died etc.etc. killed by geared players and loved it. Then I found a way, to survive, and even thrive. I was told the last wipe was to erase cheaters. I must have been given false information. Now this is advertised as a survival , shooter game. Survivalists store up food, weapons, medicine, clothing etc. I am a real life survivalist, Its not hording it is prepping, or stockpiling. Only stupid progressives think of this as hording. Its mine, I bought it, payed for it, own it. Its mine. The other players are what make this game so fun. Hunting a toxic prick is a riot. One of my friends finally got the entire gray gas zone suit only to find he will not even be able to use it at Pavlovo and Rify. and if he does he will lose the rifles anyway. So why even bother? Why take the time to build another character or another set of characters? No , this game needs a next level, a place where good players go to duke it out. To continue building , living, surviving. I already played the beginning of this game . I have zero desire to play the beginning again. If some player was able to defeat me ? kill me , etc? That is the game and my own mistake .
