Non steam version here, same problem. Stuck on 'receiving' after clicking 'multiplayer'. After 2 minutes it goes to the server list but no servers come up and the game freezes.

Agreed. Yesterday i found a truck with: 11 ghillie suits 10 nvg's 10 rangefinders 5 entrenching tools 3 m4a1 cco sd's 17 stanag sd clips 11 m107 clips Also i seem to duplicate my own stuff by accident on a regular base. -
What kind of landscape would you like to see in a DayZ stand alone game?

Non-Fictional, Canadian Rocky mountains with its many lakes, pine forests, rapids, snowy peaks. Black bears, grizly bears, moose, wolves, deer, ... Only problem would be the scarcity of towns/cities. -
I found a truck today hidden in the forest. It's a green V3S army truck. Is this even in the game? It was also loaded with 11 NVG's, 10 rangefinders, and an m4 cco or something. The tent that was next to the truck had an as50 with 11 m107 clips and another m4 cco. The server i found it on is from someone i know and he only has it for 3 days. This stuff must be hacked in right? So what do i do with it?

If the truck is legit i will keep it. I also fixed the truck with spare engine parts that i was supposed to use on my car. Been looking for those engine parts for about a week and found them just this morning. I was on my way to my car when i came across this truck. I will remove the nvg's and rangefinders from the truck and drop them on the ground. And then i will drive over the tent. -

6 launcher is a piece of poop. Try to do without it. It uses 300mb of memory and causes freezes in game on low end pc's. If you must use 6launcher then ctrl+esc out of the game after you joined a server and shut it down. (ctrl+esc is prefered because alt+tab causes you to shoot a bullet sometimes when you get back in the game) The "waiting for character to create" is not your fault but rather the central database that can't cope with the heavy traffic. The shaking screen means you have to take painkillers. Your cpu should be good enough. I heard arma2 only uses 2 cores anyway. Your gpu however could do with an upgrade. -

I heard you dont loose your inventory anymore but instead now it wont save your character anymore after you put it on. I don't know if this is fixed yet.

I like this idea. It would make them alot more visible as well for other players. And the handcufs would mean they can only use a secondary weapon untill they find the means to get rid of the cufs. Only problem is, survivors who had to shoot and kill out of self defence would also end up like this. -

I'll trade you the location of 4 tentcamps for the range finder. I'm just curious on how the range finder works as i never used it(and i'm also bad a math working with mildots and stuff)

Indeed, it would have taken at least 15-20 minutes to get from the beach to the NW airfield. Your corps would have been long gone by then. Speedhack? Teleport hack? Either way i'm with the server admin on this one.

No it's not fixed aparently. Players are complaining their game progress wont save anymore as soon as they put on another suit.

Steam is crap. I know numerous people that bought arma2 on steam who have nothing but trouble getting dayz to run. -
