  1. Just a couple ideas bouncing in my head.

    1. We have a cowboy hat, bandanna, repeater carbine, and revolver. My suggestion is to add to the ensemble with the following.

    A) A leather belt with buckle, leather holster, leather knife sheath for stag handled knife, and 20 bullet loops for revolver/repeater ammo.

    B) Cowboy boots that can hold either a knife like the assault boots or the derringer. With or without spurs. With would obviously be noisier.

    C) A pocket vest with a small holster for the derringer and a pocket chain for either the brass compass or a brass pocket watch.

    D) A duster coat that’s as waterproof as the firefighter jacket and with best insulation.

    E) A two quart round saddle canteen that can hold two plastic bottles worth of water and be worn in one of the shoulder weapon slots.

    F) Chaps. Two styles. Leather and “woolie”. Both in place of pants. 20 slots of space. The leather would provide medium insulation while the wool chaps would be best insulation. The wool wouldn’t loose much insulation value when wet but would get very heavy.

    G) Saddlebags. Sling them over your shoulder in one of the weapon slots. Both have 30 slots of space for 60 total.

    2. Semi destructible environment.

    A) We can already cut trees and bushes down for firewood and they respawn with the server restart, so why not be able to do the same with tables and chairs?

    B) Combine a cutting tool with curtains to get rags.

Both of these would leave evidence of a player passing for an additional way to track someone.

    3. Additional shoulder slot ideas.

    A) Purses with 10-15 slots

    B) Messenger bags with 15-20 slots

    C) First aid bags with 25-40 slots

    D) Gym bags with 30 slots

    E) Claymore bags with 24 slots

    F) M16 bandolier with six pockets that will hold one 20 round magazine each or 3 slot each for a total of 18

  2. First off, I’m on console not steam. If there’s a disclaimer on the PlayStation version, I must have missed it. Secondly, if someone does commit suicide because of any reason, it’s not laughable. That’s between them and God. I merely stated that I would like to see the option of turning off the animation. Nothing more.

  3. As a parent, even though the suicide option is realistic and adds to the immersion, I’d like the see the option of a parental control off switch for the animation. Just go to the black screen. Some young people don’t need to see it.

  4. You could use a fireman’s carry over the shoulder carry or deadman’s drag. Both would reduce your movement rate significantly. Would be a great way to move an unconscious teammate to a secure spot too.

  5. They need buffed not nerfed. Let them chew on your body after knocking you out. If you die from it, you should turn into one too with all your gear on minus anything in your hands. Then you’ll have to find your zombie self to get back your gear.

  6. With the addition of the cutting torch, with a hammer, I’d say you could get two pieces of sheet metal. That would make sense. The top and bottom of the barrel, being round, wouldn’t “become “ square. So those would be lost in the process.

  7. Unfortunately the current smoke grenades in the game are almost true to life. The fuse in a smoke grenade ignites as soon as the spoon is released. That being said, the spoon should not be released while still in your hand but at the moment of throw. That part should be corrected.

  8. I would like to see more zombies spawn inside buildings instead of just wandering outside. The virus was airborne after all and modern houses and buildings are not air tight. Those that took refuge inside, or were asleep when it happened, would have been turned while indoors. Even after playing for awhile now, I still get an occasional jump scare when I run into a closed building and find a waiting infected that someone trapped.

  9. Another idea for a sling would be to either use a bandana as a sling or introduce the military medical cravat. It’s a large triangle bandage that soldiers have used for a head cover since the sixties. They come in olive drab and desert tan.

  10. While on the subject of looting. Why can’t we loot all the clothing off the infected? Yes it’d be damaged or worse, but could be used for rags if nothing else. The military infected offer mor loot on average, which is understandable, but even then, their uniforms aren’t. And they look prestine. Why aren’t the heli crash infected’s uniforms burnt, torn or at the very least, damaged. After all, they crashed a helicopter that was shot down by someone.

  11. IMO looting and loot storage is broken. The amount of time it takes to loot a body is way to short. You can literally grab and go. Picking up a dropped gun from the ground is one thing, but grabbing stacks of the right ammo off the body at the same time, makes zero sense. In this aspect, Escape From Tarkov is more realistic. It uses the game mechanic of having to wait while you search plus each item has to get identified. Plus, how can you justify being able to loot, for example, their shirt when they are face down in the dirt without having to flip over the body? Or you just snatch off their pants instantly without using their zipper or undoing their belt?
As far as loot storage goes, how can a t-shirt pocket that’s approximately three inches by four inches, hold a pistol, spare mag, and extra ammo? It should be a one by one not a twelve slot. And each pocket should be a specific size. Again, like EFT. The different backpacks have different pocket configurations and the items that you can place in them should reflect that. Again, this is my opinion, YMMV.

Birds should be more than random ambient sounds too. I understand the limitations of having them as real interactive physical entities but imagine them taking to the air due to gunfire or wheeling above corpses in a field (a bit like helicopter/chimney smoke)... that would be a really atmospheric gameplay mechanic IMO. Even just the calls alone of carrion feeders (crows/buzzards) in the vicinity of dead bodies would be great, with the sound carrying far further than flies.

I’ve seen videos of game play with circling vultures. Not sure if it was a mod but obviously it was on pc not console. Would be a great addition.

  13. As someone who’s had to scream “My eyes are open and my arms are flapping”, I totally agree. Can’t tell you how many guys have ran head on into a tree when coming out of the gas chamber in basic. You can barely make out the fact you’re outside, much less which direction you’re running.
