I think the backpack arranging thing always happens (I think item position in backpack squares is not saved) except when the backpack is completely filled. I've had items disappearing out of them aswell but I think that both bugs are seperate.

I've tested this out last night while scoping out a military base on a crowded server and didn't see any change in range for seeing objects or persons. But maybe the objects have to be re-rendered after the option has been changed to take effect, didn't take that thought into account then.

Don't see how waving around with an FNX on a ladder is going to stop the person on the hill 400m away behind some bushes sniping your ass off said ladder. But this feature would make for some great suprises while being chased down ladders, so I'm all for it.

Resetting the server does not wipe your character out of the hive. You say you loaded in to your original character and then 3 second afterwards you were reset? Did you got disconnected after relogging back in after the first time around? Not really getting the timeline here.

Yes can confirm this. Protip; this happens to magazines too, so don't unload those on the ground if you come across them. Unless you're stocked on ammo and want to screw the guy who's looting your area next.

Well, the green slugs are single projectile right? Could've made a headshot with those, in theory. Don't know about headgear ruining if you don't hit it, never paid attention. But I think it's a bug aswell. Also, slugs are spawning, they just got a lot more rare then pre-patch.

Yes, that's all is correct, there are a few but clear rules about server hosting at this moment. I personally don't care what happens on this subject but please keep in mind this game is in alpha and server hosting, like many other things, will probably change in the future (I can't imagine them not providing the possibility clan/private servers later on).

Can confirm has nothing to do with server hopping. It is logical however that server hoppers cán experience it more often as they tend to get on way more different servers then 'normal players' and that obviously increases the chance to get this error. But that doesn't change the fact it happens to us non-hoppers too. -

It happens when a server gets information from the main hive saying you have a character stored in the database, then tries to retrieve information from said database, and that information has been corrupted in some way. Don't know exact reasons/causes of bug, just bad luck I guess. Had it happen to my character twice. Rocket has responded to this exact issue somewhere, don't know where, his explanation was somewhere along the lines of my first sentence. -

I don't think the shotgun is THAT underpowered, it may need some tweaking but I don't feel it should be par to the Mosin / M4. I would never choose a Shotgun over one of those guns if this were to happen in real life aswell so I figure it's quite nicely balanced. And I can imagine the buck shots being a bitch to receive from a reasonable distance. -

Yes you're gonna find items that don't work, it's an alpha. Though I think if you just look rationally at the situation if the walkies ARE working (current situation), I reckon it's pretty easy to figure out those things need batteries as flashlights/weapon lights need them aswell, it's an electronical device. And after that all you've got to do is right click - I think that to be very self explanatory but that may be just personal then ;) -
Yes happened to me a lot when I just got into the standalone. Dying on ladders hasn't happen to me the last 4 weeks using a few rules though: 1. Don't move while you click the climb up/down button 2. Don't have anything in your hands while you click the climb up/down button 3. When it seems like your falling after applying 1 + 2, DO NOT MOVE. Sometimes the animation bugs out anyway but you'll find yourself on the ladder a few moments later. Considering stairs; I usually don't sprint while running up / down stairs or when I'm around them, haven't had the bug that I died on stairs once so can't say I have a fix to that.

Yeah, that's just the way shotguns are - except for the shots required to kill a person maybe. For zombies it's pretty decent close range though. I'll never prefer a shotty above a Mosin or M4 but it's not like I didn't expect that to happen when they came out. It's just a filler weapon I carry untill I can get my hands on a better one. It is more common though and that seems fitting for a lesser dangerous firearm. And yes, the green rounds should be single bullets with probably a lot of damage and way better accuracy, haven't found any since the patch yet though. -
I don't think they created a whole hive-system to carry character over servers to only throw it away later on. There are other options against server opping, but like stated many times before - that system is still in development / puts too high of a strain of servers. So it's just exactly the same as many more issues in this game; they're working on it and we've either got to enjoy the game or don't - and wait for the update that fixes it.

I think it's pretty self explanatory actually. Also getting instructions for EVERYTHING is what's ruining most of the current-gen mainstream games in my opinion. Back in the day you had to find the solutions to difficult situations yourself, you don't see that a lot anymore in recent games. One of the reasons I like this game so much. -
Food munching sounds are way too loud.

I like it, I always save my food for some excluded spot and sneak on the people who get the munchies in town. And yeah, sound is getting a rehaul. Guess you'll have to be careful about where you eat before that. -

Yup, can confirm this happening, two times, once on a painted mosin and once on an unpainted one.

Try playing with a newspawn for a few minutes, picking up some loot and then re logging on the same server. I've found that it just never saves my character data if I was not walking around a bit. So it might seem it's getting reset every server change / log, but maybe if you try doing something, exiting, and then trying the same server it helps ;) Also I stay away from servers that don't have general names at the moment. Like ''Clan server xxxx NO PVP Day ONLY!!1! hosted by HostingProvider.com'' as an extreme example of a server I would not join.

Slightly out-dated character; best case?

Yes from what I've heard it is the best case scenario. I've got rolled back from a pretty geared guy to a guy that was bleeding and out of health and just about to jump off a silo, just my luck. But like already said above, it's not that hard to gear up, backpacks are a little scarcer but they still spawn around. -
