if everyone shoots on sight then this Mod will turn into BF/ COD with zombies and an eat/drink mechanic tacked on. And these people would of ruined the mod IMO ,, flame on.

i for one wouldn't mind one bit if they removed them altogether personally, and cant help thinking it would actually make the mod less appealing for the greiffers that think its all about how many kills you can get before you die type of players (this is not COD or BF3) . Each to his own tho i guess ,, if i wanted to snipe i would just load up the arma 2 editor and place some AI on the map myself.

I was spawned near Balotta airfield after dying at the North west airfield with my 4 buddies and they were looking after my gear till i arrived back to them, Now ive not killed another player in my 4 weeks of playing and don,t intend to either. So i thought i would search the stands in Military compound there sneakily for a weapon before travelling to meet up North. There was a guy also in there unknown to me and decided to shoot me whilst i was laying on the ground crawling. So i typed friendly in direct chat then fell unconscious luckily i never died and got to my feet again and ran away weaving left and right as i ran bleeding heavily . This guy aggroed more Zs onto himself whilst he was shooting me when he could of sneaked away and lived himself but he was so determined to kill me before he died . When i looked back he was getting attacked by several of them and quickly died. I healed myself with my bandage and typed DICK to him in direct chat laughing to myself at him. Hopefully when the next popular game comes out many these type of players move to another game . For some players DayZ is all about how many Murders they can get.

I used SixUpdater for a while a long time ago for Arma 2 ACE Mod and i seemed to spend most my time waiting for one thing or another to be updated when all i wanted to do was play, so i swiched to doing it all manually and updating when it suited me.

please,, no Dubstep. Fallout themed sounds like a better idea imo .

I have also been asked for passswd etc lately when getting patches. Ive been playing Arma series for 3 years and never had this happen with any updates before so i was also confused.

ive not killed anyone in my 3 weeks playing but died to bandits , theres still good guys in game just avoid other players if you must and say friendly when entering barns / buildings etc. I rolled 6 miles with broken leg and was patched up by strangers at cherno med tents and had my best time yet in cherno with them random guys. Dont be discouraged from being friendly ok. Plus i feel better that ive earned my gear rather than just taken it from another player by ending his game.

getting shot in the face by them was doing you a favour really as '' you don,t see the point if hacking'' and eventually someone will be able to give more info on their names and server/time and you will not be banned along with them. As with everything else you always get a small percentage of dicks don,t ya.

me and my friend played the 1.7.2.3 patch & OA Beta 94876 last night and for the most part the Zs acted like in 1.7.15 patch and we had a blast playing the mod. But every so often we would have a Z who was way off in the distance just run at us whilst the nearer Zs where oblivious to our presence. At one point we were on top of the roof of some apartment buildings laid down not moving and in third person camera every so often we would see a Z sprinting back and forth ,sometimes towards our appartments where we lay and sometimes away from them and then just stop. After laying there for maybe 15 or 20 min watching this behavour before logging off both aggreeing something was not right in the patch and to check forums for similar happennings.

i spent my first 3 weeks or so on my own lone wolfing it & having a bear grills type existence in the woods surviving and loved every game i played. When not playing i was either at work or watching youtube DayZ survival video series , guess im hooked now !! . My friend from work has just got the Mod and now i meet up with him in game and its great to loot towns together and now he loves the mod as much as me. i still havent murdered any player but ive been killed by bandits 3 times, ive no intention of ever shooting anyone on sight either unless they try kill me first.

why dont you just open the editor in Arma2 place some soldiers on the chernarous map turn up the games AI and then position yourself on a hill with your sniper rifle of choice ?? Being super competent it should be no problem for you eh.
