Several years ago I was wrongfully banned on the DayZ Steam Discussion because of association with a clan that openly stated they were cheating. No proof was provided that I was cheating with this clan. I had just joined the clan a few days before I put a recruitment post on the DayZ Steam Discussion. It was the next day or day after I was banned. When I tried to find out why I was almost insulted in the replies and berated as a cheater. When I asked for proof that I was cheating I was told there was plenty of proof but none was provided. There is no post anywhere of me stating that I was cheating. There is no actual proof because I was not cheating. Here it is several years later and I am trying to run a MODed DayZ server of my own and I need to ask questions of the creators of some of the MODs. Because of the ban I am unable to even ask MOD creators questions about their MODs. I asking please remove this ban. I am being wrongfully accused of a crime because of association. My rights are being ignored without any true proof I broke any rules.

I was told by Steam that this ban was done by DayZ mods not Steam and that I had to contact DayZ about it.

That was fun to watch and all but just who was "The President" or who was the letter carrier? It was hard to make out who was playing what parts. I really didn't see much body guarding of any sort. I am going to guess this is your first attempt at doing this? I would love to see how you guys do after you have done this a couple times. I am not bashing this by all means, please do not think that I am. Call it constructive criticism if you will. A bit more tactis on the body guards part would make this an extremely fun stream/video, as for the letter carrier/President ... just acting bossy and saying stupid stuff like, "It is time for a CHANGE!" would just add to the watchability of this if only to see him die. I will be keeping an eye out for future posts on this. I give this a 3 of 5 Thumbs Up for now, could be a possible 5 of 5 with more tactical experience from the body guards!

I would like to see the zombie AI have a grouping feature. As zombies move around they come into contact with other zombies. Their reaction is to follow the group which ends up creating a horde. I would also like to see these groups move around the map, making their way through forests and towns alike. -
We need a better indicator on how cold we are

And as I said, do you really need the indicator cluttered around your screen? The current indicators change color according to how bad off the status is. The worse the status the darker the red. -

Seriously? You have to have some kind of indicators all around your game window because hitting Tab and looking next to your character models head is too hard? -
There is a display of your characters status. It is just not out in the open like it was in the mod. Hit Tab on your keyboard and look to the right of your characters head in the inventory window ... ta da there ya go. Was that really that hard to hit one button to see your characters status? You really need all this crap littered around your screen?

A big island instead of generic land in north and west

I've always wanted the ability to travel to different maps. As an example you start as a fresh spawn on the beach of Chenarus. If you can find a boat of some kind you can travel to the edge of the Chenarus map to the south and the client would click into a loading splash screen and you would load to one of the island maps, say Lingor. If you travel to the north edge of the Chenarus map the client would click into a loading splash screen and you would load to a land locked map. Some of the map edges would lead to another map and some wouldn't. -
LoL ... I really think you people just need to learn to aim better. I've not had an issue with combat loggers. But then again my play style is to survive so I don't put myself into situations where I see much combat. I return fire when I am fired at and I do not shoot unless I have a shot. So I usually live when engaged in combat. I rarely have anyone log out of the game until they are already dead, but to me once their body is a rag doll on the terrain I could care less if they log.

How can you blow anything away when you log off once shot at? Well hell, can't attack you in game becaue you are okay with logging once someone shoots at you. By reading text on a forum you seem to know the posters feelings at that time, maybe you should try being a pyschic for a line of work I hear law enforcement pays pyschics well once a case is solved. What you have stated here is completely different from combat logging and is better response to combat on the game if you aren't ready for it. I totaly agree with this style of gaming. This whole post is actually a double edged sword. Yes it shows how much of a coward the logger is but it also shows how much of a bad shot the shooter is. If you are going to shoot at someone you make each and every shot count, this rule should become #1 in an apocolyptic setting game. Do not waste the ammo to spray and pray. Shoot to kill, most kills on sight are spray and pray killers. So all those who complain about people who combat log ... maybe you should just learn to aim better.

I may not be your average pot head but I am a very good pvper. I prefer to play the survival aspect of the game but I will return fire when shot at. Because of my survival play style I prefer to loot/hunt/ect over the map alone. I am quite dependable. In several groups I have teamed up with I would have to say I am a more dependable than about 75% of the rest of the group. But like I stated above I may not be like your average pot head either. Actually, I would prefer people I hang out with not smoke pot. Mainly because they usually do not have their own smoke and they want to smoke mine. I do not push what I do on anyone, it means I would have to share. I do not like to share my weed. -
Dirty pool .... dirty pool, but atleast where they dropped you off at WAS a safe spot. ;)

I tend to be a loner and live in the woods far far away from any cities. About 99% of the survivors you come across in or around any city or area of civilization will kill you without second thought. -
Perhaps someone should have said it was Bad Jew Jew instead of Bad Karma ......... even though both mean the samething. Oddly enough people think those terms mean something different.

From the looks of the spot marked on the map, assuming that is where the camp was located, saying that your cars/camp was well hidden is not true. Where you had your cars/camp was a large field far from any trees/bushes. Seeing a car or anything in that open field would have been easy to do even without binoculars. -

Not even going to waste time reading past the first page of this thread. Because so far on the first thread all the reply are the same as all the other threads. The Bandits are flaming someone who wants to play the game. Renun, the only thing I can tell you is that it has to be that flashlight you have. It seems it is a dangerous weapon that the Bandits fear. That and they are picked on it the real world and have to attack people in the cyber world to make themselves feel better. You kids fail hard at claiming what you are doing is PvP. PvP presents a challenge not a murdering an unarmed combatant. Give it time Renun, from things I have read on this forum Rocket will be working in features to push players into working together, and when that happens all the so called Bandits will move on to another game that they can murder defenseless players on. Because they fear a challenge. It is usually those who have no real PvP skill that murder defenseless players and when they lose their advantage and someone with real PvP skill presents a challenge to them they move on to keep their lack of skill a secret.

Can I move the debug monitor?

I'm guessing you are running the game at 800x600 resolution? Try running the game at a larger resolution. I was having the same issue with the Debug Monitor at first and then I enlarged the resolution of the game itself. That moved the Debug Monitor above the sound and hearing icons. -

When you run into a building make sure it is a larger building than a shed. I always choose a barn of some kind. Once you get in the barn do not go any further into the barn than halfway, if you go past the halfway mark in the barn the zombies will just run around the building to the other side. I, myself, try to stay just inside the doorway out of the zombies reach. Stand just inside the barn and wait for the horde of zombies that was following you to make their way inside the door, move toward the middle of the building as the zombies come in the door. Once all the zombies are inside the door start moving further to the opposite sid and let the zombies get a good distance inside the building before you bolt out the opposite door and run for it. Do not go prone, do not crouch. Run at break-neck speed out the other side and away from that building. -
I'm not into all the quoting of quotes sooooo .... @DeathSSquad Now I'm not saying you are saying that I am one of the ones "sucking up" but please do not take my reply as "sucking up" to anyone. I do not suck up to people. Most people are not worth my time much less my sucking abilities.

I want the time it took to read through all these pages of bullshit back in my life! From experience of killing people on other games on the internet I have seen 99% of the people I've killed rage just like was talked about in the very first post of this thread. I am sure that if I have experience this so has the rest of this forum community. So knowing that I can see why people believe the first part of this story without hearing any of the other side. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then its a damned duck! What would have been sweet was to see this all go down in a vid.

DayZ Maintenance ~ Should be functional again

I tried a server earlier tonight and it seemed okay, until I logged off. When I logged back on to the same server later, when some friends came on our TS, I spawned inside of a large rock near where I had logged off. I could look around and at first I had no idea I was inside the rock. When I tried to move forward my legs were instantly broken, I fell unconscience and was bleeding out. Before I regained conscience I died. I got a lucky respawn and ran back to my body. When I got there I was barely able to see my shoulder sticking out of the rock. My friends on TS and I tried the same server later and it was okay for a while. Then after about 30 minutes or so we started to notice that as we were running along one or sometimes two of our group would vanish and be a really far distance behind. As soon as we noticed this we found a field to log off in and we decided to not try another server for the time being.
