  1. I've been seeing the same error for a few weeks now. When it happens, I can't connect to any server. When I try, I get kicked with the same message. If I close DayZ completely and restart it, I can then connect with no issues. Sometimes I've had to close the game more than once for it to work. I'm using the standard DayZ launcher, not DZSA. Can someone explain what the error is telling us? It might be helpful to know what it means.

    Does cfgweather.xml work as intended?

Has anyone, ever been successful at adjusting the weather to have LESS rain? I'm not looking for Zero rain, just less frequent and shorter duration. I've experimented with various changes to cfgweather.xml to no avail. At times I thought I had it working only to discover that we are getting wet/drenched on a bright sunny day. In my opinion this file is not working properly or is just not intuitive enough. It would be nice if they offered sample configurations for various weather scenarios on the documentation page at https://community.bistudio.com/wiki?title=DayZ:Weather_Configuration'
  3. I'm preparing to migrate a server to a new host. The first thing I tried was copying the entire mpmissions directory, which includes storage_1. When I start the new server, I'm a fresh spawn and the bases and inventories are gone. Everything I have read tells me that I can copy the storage_1 directory to the new host and that will preserve the characters, bases and inventories. So I tried a fresh copy of storage_1 in place of the existing one. Same results. I noticed that I have a second storage directory now "storage_2403493". So I tried overwriting the contents of the (new) storage_2403493 directory with the contents of the (original server) storage_1, That seams to work. When I start the server and log in, I'm at my base with all of my gear. My question is, what is the purpose of the storage_2403493 directory? Can I get rid of it and instead tell the server to use storage_1 like normal? Or should I just leave it alone and keep using storage_2403493? Thanks!
