    2 Friends and I were on Seattle 11 and came across something sort of like that. We were going north west after a really successful run at Cherno hospital had a ton of blood bags morphine, plus all the stuff we already had. We came up to a barn south of zelenogorsk and we didn't have a ton of food so we decided to look around in there.we were careful, moved slowly out of the trees watching angles etc. and made very little noise. As soon as I put my foot in the barn I instantly died from what sounded like a silenced shot. I mean instantly. I didn't have have time to turn the corner. My friend went around to the other side to try to figure out where the guy was and suffered the same fate of instant death as soon as he walked into the barn. My third buddy had an M24 and had been back in the trees covering us so there was no way the guy could have seen or heard him coming. He sat and watched our bodies through his scope for about 10 minutes waiting for the guy to loot and then died in the same manner. He was looking around not scoped in as he had fairly clear view of the bodies so I can't figure out how he got crept up on. I know there are reasonable explanations for it such as largely spread out squads and server hopping. It just seems to me that barn pretty much in the middle of nowhere would be a weird place to camp and the other guy would have looted the bodies right away. Is that anything like the experience you had?

    I started playing DayZ and I've been having terrible sound issues. Whenever I start up the game it appears there is no sound but if I crank the volume way up it's sort of muffled. This occurs no matter what server I join, and no matter what blood level I'm at. Obviously I checked ingame volume, computer volume etc. When I run, say, mumble in the background the volume is fine but ingame with the ingame volume all the way up, computer volume maxed, and speakers at max as well I can barely hear my own gunshots. I've searched around and I can't seem to find anyone else who has found a fix. Could someone offer some advice?
