The problem is with the 1.62 patch, Not DayZ The 95417 Beta patch is doing the same thing. The "Fixes" above aren't fixes at all, they're just getting lucky and not having to problem appear after they do any of those things but in reality don't actually fix the problem. it doesn't matter where on the map you are, what you are looking at...etc. We'll have to wait for Bohemia to fix it.

Theres nothing to delete. Mods and addons can be disabled and enabled in the Expansions menu. You can keep the files in the Arma 2 folder, the engine only loads them when they are enabled. -

Battleye is the anti-cheat When playing Arma 2 and Arrowhead disable DayZ in the Expansions menu first or or will cause problems. -
Come to Vancouver, Canada, We have a zombie apocalypse 24/7. It's called the Downtown East Side. [Youtube search it] Bandit skins and humanity have to come back or something like it. DayZ has been completely gutted of any real purposeful gameplay the last few versions.

Free to play is crap. Players don't have anything invested in the game Hackers get caught.... get new key... rinse and repeat. Arma 2 Free completely destroyed Arma 2 vanilla servers with a flood of morons who download it to just cause shit and theres no way to block them other then requiring addons to play, which the A2F can't do.

Lightening does not hit you in Arma, never has and it sure and hell doesn't hit the ground. -
Ever since they removed the bandit skins and humanity, there really isn't much going on. DayZ has been taken over by hackers, Griefers and Hacking/Exploiting, server resetting when they die admins. The funny thing is the hacker/duper groups are pumping out Youtube videos like crazy now... naturally of course they don't show the part where they "Find" all those .50's, 10 GPS units, 20 pairs of NVG's.....etc.

DayZ just happens to have by far the most admins involved in shady business and collusion with hackers I've ever seen in 30+ years of gaming. The hatred and mistrust is perfectly understandable really. The DayZ bubble is gonna burst sooner or later. The shear amount of admins involved in stuff is going to severely damage the success of DayZ in the future. ,. -

Yes you can, I've been playing while downloading Arma 2 on my 2400 dialup modem since 2009. Hopefully it'll be done by next Christmas and I can truly p0wn at this game.

Played it for several hours tonight. - Some Zombies have super vision and hearing - Some zombies are totally deaf and blind and just stand in one spot doing nothing, like they fell asleep standing up. The "sleeping" zombies you can walk right up to and kill with an axe without any real reaction. - Zombies now spawn all around you within spitting distance. Front, back, side... They even pop on the screen in crushed together groups right before your eyes. Zombie trains are now made up of zombies spawning with you as you run, not just aggroing the ones around you. - Walking into or by a building triggers groups of zombies to spawn. I got stuck in the firehouse tower because of a never ending supply of spawning zombies. - Zombies 50+ metres away on the other side of a building go aggro and search you out even if you are not moving while others within spitting distance walk around ignoring you, I have no clue how this version got past closed testing. How could you miss zombies popping on screen in front of your face or the ones standing there in a daze? -

I wasn't like that before.. The removal of bandit skins, the super hearing, all seeing zombies and removal of starting pistol and food pretty much killed the teamwork that did exist before. Funny thing those changes have also made the "Is anyone in Cherno" jokes obsolete because nobody asks it anymore. -
The dancing animations are built into the vanilla game. They're triggered by scripts. Running non-Dayz scripts will risk you getting banned.

People will find a way to duplicate them even if they are rare. Most of the last few changes seem to be aimed at handing the game over to hackers and griefers. The DayZ bubble is going to burst pretty soon I expect if this continues, alpha or not. -
"Butt-hurt" Hackers use that term a lot when caught. Server logs are nice but profiling works in games and real life. certain types of people just tend to share the same behaviors and tend to make very similar excuses.

If the server has message about offensive names and you keep coming back and get a ban, then thats fine IMO But if they say nothing, no server messages about names and they ban you outright then thats a problem. Admins have a right no create rules that keep people from causing problems with others including player names. Some people do go out of their way to draw attention to themselves in that way. -
I did read the entire thread, it's complete bulls#$. They got caught and their lame excuse [overtheating] combined with the tale of what happened just confirms it. Thats the thing about spotting hackers. It's not always a single detail that stands out it's a combination of several and they reason they use for what people saw.
