Dragon Rising has absolutely NOTHING to do with the original Operation Flashpoint made by Bohemia or Arma. Conmasters simply own the name since they published Operation Flashpoint.. The engine they use to make DR/RR is the same one they use for their driving games like GRID.

Whats happening is Battleye likely did a major update and all the hackers got spanked. Happens all the time No matter what game and anti-cheat used, the complaints about being unfairly banned, "I'm a legit player"...."must be FRAPS" or *insert other 3rd party software* come flooding in after every major update. Hackers believe that if they whine and cry enough they'll get unbanned. This beta patch / BE ban thing is only an issue with the DayZ crowd because thats where the hackers are. Vanilla Arma 2 players using the Beta patch are uneffected because they aren't a bunch of 12 year old hackers.

Large bans occur when there is a major update of ANY anti-cheat software. You cheat and BE caught up to you.. it was only a matter of time. Stop hacking and you won't get banned. Simple

Mass global bans and widespread hacking, Admin abuse has never been an issue until DayZ came along. None of the people who always run beta patchs are complaining in the Arma 2 forum.... why is that? Answer: DayZ is a kiddy fest that attracts hackers and script kiddies.

Already have several times. I've been running beta patchs for the last 3 years kiddo. Not a single Arma vet has complained. You are a hacker trying to make up some excuse to get unbanned.. It's not going to work. Enjoy your global ban

You DO NOT get a global ban for picking up hacked weapons. It's that simple. HACKERS are the one spreading that rumour in some pathetic attempt to get their ban lifted.

No they didn't. Picking up a hacked weapon does not get you a global ban. [both Rocket and Battleye can confirmed this] The only ban you can get is a server ban if an admin sees you and bans you, or player sees you and reports it to an admin. The "I picked up a hacked weapon by accident" is an old outdated excuse used by people who got caught..... the next one is blaming FRAPS... the new excuse of the month is blaming Beta patches.. This whole global ban thing is pretty much nonexistent for the last 3 years on the Arma 2 forums. Why? Because DayZ is attracting all the hackers and script kiddies like flies.

So if the beta patch is the problem why aren't the Arma 2 forums flooded with complaints about global bans??? I'll answer that for you. The OP and others who cry foul about Battleye are LYING.. The lame excuse blaming FRAPS for triggering a false positive got used and abused so much that the hackers/Script kiddies had to find another scapegoat. Beta patches are now the new lame excuse for being busted by Battleye.

Funny thing until DayZ came along global bans were never a problem. Just another script kiddy that got caught. I'm amazed he didn't do the usual blame "FRAPS" for making BE think he was using a hack.
