The ones claiming they got global bans for "Picking up a hacked weapon" are full of shit. It's one of the many pathetic excuses people try to use to get their ban overturned. they just smear these bullshit rumours around in the hopes that suckers like you believe it and they'll somehow get enough people to support them and get the ban overturned. Once upon a time it was blaming FRAPS for causing Battleye to think people were using hacks. once an excuse gets warn out and Battleye refuses to overturn the bans they'll just come up with some other pathetic excuse, because thats what pathetic losers like hackers do. -

Rocket is on record saying the mod is falling apart. So the answer is yes. But at the same time many of the problems are a direct result of the design choices he made and the refusal to fix stuff and not keeping his fingers off stuff that isn't. Players complain barbwire is a griefing tool: Answer: Rocket adds bear traps Players complain too many people with hacked/duped weapons killing new spawns Answer: Rocket removes new spawns guns so only the hackers and dupers have them. Players complain about zombies spawning too close rendering stealth and checking areas pointless Answer: Rockets adds zombies spawning inside buildings, including inside the same room when you turn your back. Players complain about the massive amounts of hackers and dupers, many of which are also admins. Answer: Rocket adds dogs. The last patch changelog also states that they slowed down the zombies when in fact the zombies now move FASTER and in a straight line. The Changelog states that the graphical issues have been fixed....... WRONG. They now happen in more places then they did before!. It's stuff like this that is causing the mod to go to hell. -

It's not the fault of Battleye, It's the RV engine thats designed to be moddable and scriptable, built on trust of a MATURE and OLDER community before the DayZ toddlers came along -

Alpha = Adding and testing features Beta = Fixing bugs. Those are typical "Software standards" as you call them trying to be smart. DayZ is Alpha, the operation Arrowhead patches are Beta. -

Shoot on sight if they have a weapon. Why? Pretty simple, thats whate everyone else is doing so I'm not going to lose everything I've gained because somebody wants to kill/injure me for fun. Wish it were different but Rocket seems to be very pro hacker and griefer with his changes to the mod so until then...everyone dies unless they are new spawn.

Firestations are a popular target for barbwire griefers, thats likely the source, not the station itself. -

Not like it's going to be fixed anyways.... a lot of the bugs claimed to be "Fixed" in the changelog aren't even fixed, The devs don't even bother to test anything, it's more fun to add stuff then fix stuff so they just put "Fixed" on stuff that they are too lazy to fix. -
Where did you download these mods? You should only download Arma stuff from http://www.armaholic.com and http://www.armedassault.info Both of those are run by long time and trusted OFP/Arma community members. You should also wait until any new DayZ Launcher/Updater has been checked by Rocket and the Dev team before using them.

Never shoot at people in 3rd person especially indoors. The aiming is way off in Arma when you do that. -

Some of the "Fixes" that are posted all the time do work but for random amounts of time, Minutes, hours, days... but they usually return. Even restarting the game will clear them up sometimes. Until Rocket gets bck from Gamescom we'll just have to deal with it. -

Yes they are there. Anywhere with barbwire and the dead soldiers is going to have it. Barebire set up in the forest will cause it also, doesn't have to be in a city or airfield. -

That makes no sense. The dead miltary are in the same place regardless of what server you are on. They are not placed on the map randomly. The only way changing servers would help is if the glitches are being caused by barbwire.

Learn to do it manually and you'll be a whole lot happier. Copy/Paste.... not much to it and a lot of times it's a whole lot faster. -

Dogs are a neat idea but first things first.... fix the zombies, fix the graphical glitches, deal with the barbwire griefing,.......etc....etc.....etc.....etc. -
There is no permanent fix yet, including the one about Threaded optimization. All these "Fixes" are nothing more then people getting lucky once in awhile and not seeing them for a little bit.
