Expanding on the double clothing idea, things such as sweaters, raincoats, etc, should have a whole separate slot to wear these things on. I think your idea of making combined clothing is great and could happen via the separate under and upper torso slot idea.

I would like to see more casual clothing options in the game in general. All the nice ones are not really viable due to the insulation values.
