Yes. If you login now you'll lose your gear and camo clothing. Wait for the hotfix to (hopefully) fix the issue.

I know what an alpha is, but before ANY major update they should always have a database backup on hand JUST IN CASE the shit hits the fan, like with this update or say any bad update. It's only good practice to do such things, ESPECIALLY during testing. How many times do I have to say I don't care if I lose my gear for you people to understand that? It's not about losing gear, it's about having common sense practices and fail safes in place JUST IN CASE. You can say "it's ALPHA!!!" till you're blue in the face to me, that doesn't excuse them for not being prepared and having backup plans if an update goes horribly wrong.

Will there be a roll back to the PRE 1.9.2 patch? Losing my tents and gear because of my ghillie suit is silly and so many other people lost their items / tents probably also due to the bug and random dying. I'm not crying over my gear (before anyone says it) because I've already got another set anyways that I had in a tent BUT it still sucks to lose all my progress in murders / zombie kills and days alive due to the bug that was well, should of been pretty obvious before it was released. So was there a back up of the DB made BEFORE the patch went live and will we see a roll back? I'm hoping so.

I have another ghillie suit back at camp, but now I'm afraid to even try and put it on for fear of having to swim with the sharks again =S. Didn't know this was a known issue with the current update. Just thought I'd post my experience as a tester so rocket can know what to look into.

Loaded the new update after I noticed the server I play on updated, using the latest beta patch. Login, get a screen that said "Setup complete, please wait..." followed by me getting into the game, insta-dying and being able to respawn right where I died. Noticed my corpse and myself was missing my ghillie suit, grabbed a spare from the tent, put it on and *POOF* to the ocean with you said DayZ! So yeah got put in the middle of the ocean, lost my backpack and gear and had to respawn, all because of a ghillie suit that I magically lost due to the update to 1.7.2, ugh.

Setup camp and it's in a nice hidden location in the forest with everything hidden among the trees, and WAY out of the way of any wandering person. I check my camp, leave for an hour come back and the 1 vehicle I had and all the good guns from my tent are gone. No one has "stumbled" upon my camp for 3-4 days now and all of a sudden over the span of an hour all my gear is taken and my vehicle is gone? I honestly don't believe this was a legit person who did this but someone using an ESP hack. Are they doing ANYTHING to ban these hackers? They are ruining the game more than people DC'ing to avoid death. Why setup camps if people are just going to ESP hack to find them and take all your stuff?

You're right I don't have any "proof" just like people can't have "proof" of admin abuse or anything else. No I'm not paranoid and honestly I could care less some of my gear is gone, like I said I have more. But yeah go ahead and post the usual flame crap that's always posted lol. Going to go back to having fun in dayz while ya'll forum troll ;).

No I actually always plan on my camps being found, but I doubt it was a clan, no clans were on at the time. Hell I could care less about losing what was there, I've got gear stashed away in other places anyways but the fact is, ESP hackers are ruining the game and as far as them "spawning in vehicles" as far as I've read up yeah they can if they run scripts, but ESP hack and scripts are 2 different things. Oh well, seems like people are on the "lulz you think ur camp can't be found by anyone?" band wagon and ignoring the fact that ESP hackers DO use just the ESP hack to get gear from others camps as well as vehicles.

Had this happen twice yesterday. First time at the barracks at NWAF and the second time I was running from NWAF towards Stary Sobor and saw 2 guys running at me, one in a ghillie suit the other not to sure if he was too or civilian clothing. Anyways they both hit the ground going prone same time as I do, I take out ghillie suit man, knowing there were 2 of them I'm waiting for movement or to see the other one get up. Nothing for awhile so I slowly approach and sure enough he had logged probably as soon as his friend died or they started taking fire. I play a lone bandit in the game and hell even I wouldn't mind a log off timer that would prevent you from just instant log off and if you alt+F4 the timer should still count down before you "poof" out. Everyone does it to "save their lootz" I mean I have lots of good loot and if I die oh well, I've died LOTS of times already and that IS PART OF THE GAME.

My tents on US77 went poof :(. Not sure if they will come back next server restart or not. I saved them just last night before going to bed. Is this just a server issue or were they wiped by the cleanup? Had some gear in them I didn't want to lose and I know they already sustained 1 server restart (I place them, put item I don't need in them, wait for server restart, items gone, I know it's now safe to store things, hopefully this is slated to be fixed in 1.7.2?) but now ALL of them on US77 are gone. Going to check another server I had a camp on (was moving to US77) to see if my tents there are gone too. Will edit post. EDIT: Tents are fine on other server, even ones that been up for around a week after I died. I hope the auto cleanup comes soon, I don't mind if they hang around a day or two after you die but if they are there for 2-3 weeks it starts to get....cluttered. Anyways must have been a bad server reboot on the US77 server. Will try to email the admin and see if he can restart the server. Maybe the hive was down at the time of the restart or something.

Is the admin of the US23 (the one without the space, I know there were 2, one US23 and one US 23) on here? I'm hoping the server is just down temporarily as my camp was setup on the server and was wondering if there is any ETA on when the server will be back up? It's usually pretty full on the weekends and the evenings so not sure why it's gone "missing".

I've been playing on a server that restarts every morning, I check most of the vehicle spawn points and have yet to find one, not even one needing repair so not sure if it's people on the server I play on hoarding vehicles or them just not spawning. It's strange to not find at least 1 to me anyways.

Sighing as I check my camp site and look into my tents going over my provisions, I stand up for a moment and stretch my legs looking up at the sky. Moans and screams can be heard in the far distance from the infected and their victims being chased down. I look at my clothing...my smelly clothing that is attracting flies at that from all the brains I've bashed in and shot, I really should go wash them. A thought start tickling at the back of my head, I really need to ditch these clothes I stand out way too much to other survivors and the zeds, infected or whatever you want to call them, they're all the same to me. I really need something camouflage to fit into my surroundings. I pack up for a long day ahead of me. I start going through towns, the stench of death heavy in the air, carefully sneaking about through the buildings, the markets, houses anywhere I can find supplies. I travel great distances, my feet starting to ache as I'm in the city they call Electro, ready to shoot anyone on site as I don't trust a soul in these times, people will stab you in the back. I guess they call people like me a bandit as I'm not afraid to kill others for supplies if need be, especially in the current state of things. I start slowly making my way towards the market in town, going through the back alleys to make sure the zeds don't catch onto my scent and that anyone else still alive in the doesn't spot me. As I start making my way through the alley right across from the market I freeze as I see movement, not the slow lumbering movement of the infected no, this was someone alive. I slow my breathing and slowly bring my pistol up, not sure if he's spotted me yet as he's looking at something on the ground, I take a step as silently as I can and my foot lands on glass crunching down, I curse under my breath as the other man looks up directly at me and raises his Lee-Enfield Rifle right at me. I don't hesitate and bring my M1911 pistol up and put him square in my iron sites and pull the trigger, once, twice, three times. The man drops down dead, zeds running over to try and feast on a free dinner but I quickly dispatch them with a shot to the head for each one. As quickly and quietly as possible I go over to this man now laying dead on the ground and start checking his backpack and grin as I pull out a fresh clean ghillie suit. I make my way back to camp without anything else interesting happening, glad to be back at camp I inspect my new ghillie suit, it's perfect and will do just nicely. I stash it away for now and sit down resting my sore, aching, tired feet as I look over at the days haul, a big grin on my face as the sun starts setting.

Just a friendly bump. I've had this happen now 3 times on various servers. I can loot their backpack just fine but if I try to loot "gear" it crashes with an Arma2OA has caused a problem screen.

Weird thing just happened. Was at a market away from my camp, someone saw my coyote backpack and decided to shoot me in the back of the head (never heard them even walking in the store, yet my foot steps sound like I'm stomping, WTF?) so yeah whatever I died, respawn get back to my dead body, my pack was pretty empty, guy left all my gear and alice pack with meat, blood packs, pain killers and soda in it, so nice of him! so I get all my stuff back including my m1911 and all the rounds for it and even the spare one I had in my pack (he put it in the alice pack lol) but when I return to camp and check my tent for my spare coyote backpack with my M107 in it, it's gone as well as my range finder and NVG's and next to my tent is a jerry can...ok wtf? So I check my other tent, my M14A1 CCO has now turned into an AKM and there are 2 m1911 mags next to the tent. So dying now turns items into different items in your tent? Hopefully when the server restarts all is well again but kinda sucks having your items turn into other things that you don't really need lol.

New beta patch is out guys, 94103 might want to grab it before rocket releases the new update. Seems to fix some issues as far as the "dropping stuff in your inventory" bug that's been happening.

So I went back to a temporary "home" server (AZ6) until the main server I played on updated to 1.7.1.5 to see if my tent was still there, it was and with ALL my loot still in the tent. AZ6 runs 1.60 no beta patch, the server I normally play on runs the beta patch. Making me wonder if it's an issue with the recent beta patch or something. About to head back to my camp and do another test/see if my loot has magically reappeared.

Same here. Got a hatchet yesterday, thought I still had it today killed a cow and got some meat, went to get some wood, look in my gear screen at the tool belt, no more hatchet :(.

Yesterday (6/23 around 6-7PM GMT-4) I moved camp, put up the tent, didn't like that spot packed tent, found a better one a little bit down and put up the tent. Put gear in tent (2 NVG, 2 Range finder, 1 draganov sniper rifle with some ammo (about 5 clips) and some misc. items) save tent, hang around to make sure it saved and log off. Play on another server a little later on, log off from there. Today log on to my main server with my camp, go to my camp to find 2 tents, my original one I packed up and the one I decided I liked in that location, only thing is NO gear in either tent. So I lost some pretty "valuable" stuff from this bug. I'm pretty sure they weren't looted as it's in the north in the woods in a very out of the way location and "hidden" in a sense. Plus with my old tent popping back up makes me think something happened either with the hive or the server :(.
