Probably an oversight or a bug.

It's not exactly a teaser trailer, but teaser screenshots that devs showed during a stream. But other than that, I do agree that looting can be annoying sometimes. Having to aim exactly pixel-perfect to pickup that one box of 5.56 that spawns in the military containers can be annoying, and more often than not items in containers don't show up in vicinity tab. Picking up items should be a bit more forgiving, and we shouldn't have to look exactly at that one pixel to pickup small items like lighters.

Without a closer look, we can't say that either of the games copied one another but what's for sure is that the backpack exists IRL. Both dev teams probably based it on the same backpack IRL. Search up: "osprey talon 22 color blue", you should be able to find one that matches them.

Since we are talking about stab vest, what about press vest? How should it be balanced or is it fine how it is? also if any BI/DayZ devs are reading, can we get replacable plates for plate carrier with varying levels of protection (repairing with epoxy or sewing kit is funny)? thanks ❤️ (inb4: "We can't due to technical limitations" 🙄)

I agree, stab vests are a bit too strong vs basically endgame snipers. And yet somehow just one shot to the torso by M4 almost kills you if you have no armor (90+ damage at distance <50 meters at 900 RPM). Wearing anything but armor is not worth the risk.

So essentially something like the old Trello board? I would like to see something like that (or something like you mentioned), if it's possible. I checkout the feedback tracker once in a while for some insight, but something simpler and easier to digest would be nice.

There's a part in that post (dayz in 2022 post) that clearly states: "As for the rest of the year: ....." and then they give several bullet points about what they want to do this year. That's a roadmap if you ask me, maybe a general one without clearly set goals, details and deadlines, but it still is a roadmap.

could make them have a % chance of making you sick, idk. seems like a thing that should exist but it really needs to be balanced properly to make them less inviting to eat. they should be last ditch resort when you have nothing to lose. but then again, finding food in dayz isn't really that hard.

I wish this was a thing, this has been on my wishlist for a while. So +1

DayZ performance on AMD cards?
DefectiveWater replied to William Sternritter's topic in General Discussion
This is why, it's a post from day ago. While I'll assume and say majority of AMD GPUs won't have issues, I can't guarantee it will be the same for you. But it's not only like that on AMD GPUs... GPUs from Nvidia seem to be having issues sometimes too. So idfk what's going on. https://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/wo7q15/how_do_i_stop_dayz_from_freezing_on_pc/ -
DayZ performance on AMD cards?

Let us know how it goes, I'm somewhat interested in RX6000 series of GPUs but my pockets seem to hate that idea 🤣 Good luck! -
DayZ performance on AMD cards?
DefectiveWater replied to William Sternritter's topic in General Discussion
I've heard complaints both from Nvidia's RTX3xxx series and AMD's RX6xxx series of GPUs. I'm not certain if the GPUs were the cause in those cases, but just sharing what I've heard on the internet, although I've seen more complaints from RTX3000 than RX6000 (maybe just a difference in popularity so it's heavily skewed towards Nvidia). This driver was the one that allegedly fixed performance issues on AMD's GPUs (so anything after that and including that one should work much better on newer AMD GPUs). https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-21-11-3 "While playing DayZ™, some users may experience stuttering or poor performance on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon™ RX 5700 XT Graphics." Here's a comment from someone on reddit regarding that driver: Wish I could help more, but I'm still on an old RX580 and none of my friends have RX6000 series of GPUs. -
What do you mean by that?
-
This is a good idea, I would like to see that in the game. Wouldn't make flags such an useless item anymore.

If there's any mention of BattlEye then you got banned by the Anti-cheat software. The only advice I can give you is to contact BattlEye support because nobody here on the forums can do anything about it. Dev's have stated several times that all responsibility falls on BattlEye. Hope you get a response from them and that the matter will be resolved.

Private server admins can't get you VAC banned. VAC is Valve's Anti-cheat software (devs and owners of Steam), you got caught by it (whether that is true or false, nobody can help you here on the forums). Read more about VAC here: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/9/882959527688934488/ Best advice I can give you is to contact Steam support and ask them to look into the ban. Edit: also this might be worth checking out https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/46DB-4CEC-F7E9-49E5

I agree. Would love to see it on PC too as part of vanilla. (if you mean AutoRun that is)
-
A bit of an older thread, but I agree. Bigger calibers should have more echo than smaller ones. Also bottle suppressors are absurdly OP, I don't get why they reduce the loudness as much as real suppressors.

You really aren't capable of discussions as it seems, why do you always have the need to feel attacked?
-
Your source for that claim?

Where are the police cars now?
DefectiveWater replied to Real Men Play Solo's topic in General Discussion
They are still random, function similarly to helicopters from what I know. Maps show correct possible spawns. They spawn, loot spawns, zombies spawn. If someone loots it, loot won't respawn. If someone kills the zombies, zombies won't respawn. I think that's how it works. -
they did specify "currently" though, maybe eventually we will get it?
-
I really like the idea, but I would firstly suggest we nerf clothing slots (or rework them to have separate compartments for each pocket). T-shirt IRL has no pockets, so why does it have any slots in the game?
-
I think there will be broken arms... eventually. It seems possible to be honest but you know that DayZ has so many flaws and issues and they can't focus on everything at once. If we didn't get broken legs I wouldn't think we would get broken arms, but there is nothing really stopping (except dev time/priorities) them from adding broken arms.
