    Two Anti-Cheat Suggestions

    And that's where your idea falls apart. Sorry to be so direct, but that's never going to happen on official servers. While an interesting idea to have premium anti-cheat servers, this still wouldn't stop all cheaters. Although, it would probably drastically cut the number of cheaters just because it's yet another money gate. But why pay for that when you can just hop on some good community servers with active admins?

    Disable user ID in console

    I think there is user ID on PS when you use VOIP, not sure about Xbox. That's a Sony policy that BI has to follow if they want the game to stay on PS (that's something all games on PS have to follow). I don't think there is much that devs could do about it.

    Update 1.20 general discussion

    Ignoring the ADS bug fix (and in general bug fixing), I would say I like the improved inertia (character weight affects inertia). I know it was supposed to be a primarily stability/bug fix update, but I disliked the lack of content. Mime masks are cool, but they might have the same issue as does 85% of wearable items in DayZ have and that is the cold/low insulation. Add or change existing stuff (like balance or mechanics)? If add, then I would definitely add more variety of clothing items. Civilian gloves (wool gloves), scarves, shemagh, more belt types (police belt, tool belt), more types of jackets/shirts/pants/backpacks... everything essentially lol. If it's not add only, but change could be made then it's definitely: a) the gun handling and shooting mechanics OR b) the infected AI (pathfinding, climbing obstacles...). It is supposed to be a hardcore realistic open-world sandbox survival game with "zombies". Give us that hardcore realistic feel.

    Probably because he shares the link to the discussion on his twitter and he has quite a following. Nothing against him tho, discussions are good. At least it keeps community alive.

    ENFUSION Engine Update for DayZ?

    Devs said on stream that full Enfusion likely won't happen (or no plans as of yet) but they'll try and port whatever they can to DayZ. It's been a month or two since the stream so I forgot what was exactly said about it. Go to their twitch channel and find the video that's called "DayZ Producer Tim and his ultimate Chernarus survival", it should be the last video/stream and skip to 1:16:50 if you wanna listen to it for yourself.

    No, it's a community made map by a guy who goes by the name of Mattty-Ice- on Steam. Devs said that they have no new map plans. They do plan on updating Chernarus and Livonia a bit more in 2023.

    Bullets shrugged off too easy?

    Mosin uncons past 250 meters in one shot VS a plate, and yet somehow it only deals 35.6 damage. So even if you uncon someone, you'll need to land at least 3 shots in total to kill them with one of the most powerful snipers. At a distance of 500 meters, Mosin deals only 27.8 damage to a user with a plate... At 700 meters you would need to hit someone 5 times to kill them - 22.8 damage (plate carrier might break before that, but i'm not sure on the mechanics of that). My point is, uncons are too easy (and target acquisition is too easy), damage dropoff is too high. There needs to be an additional effect that user experiences after getting shot if they don't go uncon. Also: Gunplay is still waaay too forgiving with the "quickscope" meta where user can have perfect aim just by holding breath even after running for kilometers. Gun handling needs a major rework similar to legacy. Gun inertia isn't necessary and it really isn't realistic (guns aren't hard to turn left/right). Also: each round should have it's own Armor Pen value. Currently plate has a % damage reduction that is applied the same to all ammo types, even AP...

    I knew about the item throw issue, but I always suspected there was something weird with their pathing when I'm overlooking a town from a bush. Would be nice if that was changed/fixed.

    I agree with OP, sneaking around is usually still too loud (both in PVP and PVE) and there's no way to move slower to be quieter. I usually carry good melee weapons or silenced pistols for this reason so I can loot as quick as I can without getting overwhelmed by zed aggro.

    DayZ 2022 Year in Review

    Short summary from what I remember, I probably missed some but these are the most important notes: No more vehicle types until they fix/improve cars, something "roads/terrain wont work with bikes" (don't quote me on that quote lol). 2023: NWAF rework, more legacy content, more new stuff (obviously), no new DLCs planned, "Inertia 2.0", more new cosmetics (clothing probably, maybe craftable clothes).

    Dayz - Night

    People leave at night because night time is boring and lacks any gameplay elements and it lasts way too long and arguably it's way too dark on "hardcore" servers. You use lights, you get shot. You don't know the map by heart, you run in an endless darkness. You run next to zeds, they aggro onto you even tho it's pitch black and they somehow still see you. So what do you DO at night? Meanwhile that random sweaty player sees everything perfectly fine due to gamma abuse. NVGs should get 100% get removed from the game or nerfed even harder (less field of view). Issue isn't that NVGs are too rare, issue is vanilla night time is badly designed.

    Thoughts on the Bunker (1.19)

    I agree the bunker needs some work, maybe lower levels should require a gas mask so people stop camping it as much. It should be a dangerous area, and it should have good loot. Now all you need to do is make people stop exploiting it. And there's a few exploits they need to prevent. There was a major one I reported but luckily it's already fixed.

    Big Problem DayZ Movement

    I think it's a good feature but needs to be adjusted so that it scales according to the character weight. Along with that, decreasing strafe angle while sprinting (W + A/D + sprint) which results in a 45 degree angle of running to 30 or less AND possibly reducing maximum turn rate of the mouse while sprinting. Obviously there are many other things that need to be tweaked with the movement system (bugs), but other things like boots being better at steep/rough terrain than shoes, player getting stuck on 1cm obstacle (worst is when the curb is placed a tiny bit too high, so instead of just stepping on it, our character has to do the whole climbing animation which is too slow).

    Multi caliber guns are cool, I would like to see one in the game.     Courier bag > Burlap backpack 😎 Wish there were more small backpacks like courier bag, 30 slots and a small profile like courier bag. Hunting backpack is too big for my taste.

    I wouldn't say no to MTX so long as: they don't ruin the immersion, they are sensible and within the realms of DayZ world and don't give you ANY advantage or change the gameplay in any kind of way, must keep gameplay neutral. With that criteria, there isn't much they could do. The only thing that comes to my mind is more survivor models (or accessories) that are locked behind paywalls. Or maybe different freshie clothing with various patterns/logos, but they would get ditched after you find the first peacoat anyway... Anyway, with that said I don't agree with OP's suggestion.

    No need for this, suggestions are always welcome. Anyway, I do agree with you and I wish there was more customization for the characters. I know it's not the priority right now and probably never will be, but it would be nice to have more options when making a character. It is "Your story" afterall.

    I think he might be talking about Burnaya river, which is outside of the playable area. That red square is the playable area.

    Damaged bullets don't do anything anyway. At least not right now, they have plans for them in the future patches. Not that I know of.

    I agree with you but cars need to be much more stable and less fragile before devs start adding limited fuel sources. Otherwise the time required to assemble them + finding fuel that is now limited (question is how much limited) makes them not worth the time invested. Limiting fuel sources directly affects vehicles as a whole because they are now made less accessible. Day zero of the apocalypse or day zero of our story (the spawning point, which could in theory be a day after or years after the start of the apocalypse)?

    Don't get me wrong, I would like to see it being limited in some way but first I want to see cars working properly and not break after a 5 km/h crash.
