    Shadow Bug

Interesting, thanks for correcting me. I thought that was their intended way to increase optimization. 2017 you say... *looks at date* huh... Better late than never (hopefully not never).

    INTERFACE TIPS #2

And that tool tip was his idea too, good job @akula692008, I'm all for highlighting things like: Hovering over a gun highlights the Ammo it uses, Hovering over gun attachments highlights the guns that can use it, and so on... It's not necessary, but I wouldn't mind if it was in-game. It would make the game more friendly towards new players, and veterans shouldn't even care, but clearly they do... for some reason... Everyone assumes that a new player has experience with gaming in general, those who do will figure out things eventually, those who do not have gaming experience will struggle. A lot.
  3. Nah... if you can't dedicate your time to keeping your base secure, then don't build ones... simple as that. You want to safely store loot inside your base? Then dedicate your time for it, or store it in stashes around the map. They are harder to find than giant base walls. Raiding bases as a solo player is already hard as it is (as a non base builder, I feel like they are balanced), and grenades are as buggy as they can be. Door frames will very often stop grenades from dealing any damage to the walls. Point of bases isn't that ANYONE can make one and have a safe stash place for weeks with no trouble, point of bases is that dedicated DayZ players can have something more to do, promoting co-op play with friends or a clan so they can keep maintaining their base. If you have to keep some stuff safe, grab a barrel or a craft a crate, stuff it with items, pick it up and log out. I think that works, albeit it seems like abusing the system, but whatever...

    Shadow Bug

It's not a bug per se, but when you aren't looking at a certain direction game (a lot of games do that) will unload certain assets to optimize performance. I don't know if there are ways to get around it, maybe saving a cached shadow that get's updated every once in a while? I don't know, game engine development is a tricky one. There are probably similar solutions, but from what I know, this one is the most effective in terms of performance. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

User Interface / Inventory Management Overhaul

So... what are your suggestions? 1.12 already added tool tip info (hovering your mouse over certain slots shows what goes there), and it was a suggestion on this forum. So they do listen, so all you have to do is speak up. The only thing that comes to my mind is highlighting slots when you hover over items; hovering over jackets will highlight jacket slot, and hopefully, vice versa should apply too. Hovering over jacket slots should highlight jackets. And you know how when you "close" Backpacks on the top right, they should still be listed in the scrollable right side of the inventory, but with hidden slots (no 7x8 slots visible, just a line saying "Hunter Backpack, content hidden" or something like that. Either way I don't feel like it's a necessary feature, but who knows. EDIT: just saw the image, not a bad suggestion. The only issue I have with that is the fact that you can't really see your character, but other than that, it seems to be offer more usability. EDIT 2: I'm fine with the current UI, I don't have issues with it, except what to me seems like a useless feature, and that is hiding the content of clothes.

    Health dropping for no reason

Yup, it's from that. Do you see your blue clothing slots too, like this: Make sure they don't get Light gray, because that's frostbite. Frostbite decreases your max possible HP, and (unless they updated Namalsk) you can't recover from Light gray.

    Wipes for new updat 1.12?

From what we know right now, no. They said there will be 2 or 3 wipes in a year, and they recently did one. Wouldn't make much sense to wipe it again after only like 2 months or how many was it.

    just HOW

There were like only handful (read: 3-8 devs, I'm guessing) working on this game. I blame it on management, the game was VERY popular (it recently broke or was very close to breaking the record for number of concurrent players on Steam), so it earned them some mad cash. It deserved more love, and it still does. I agree that it's very slow development.

    Character Creation

When you die, you get the option to choose "Respawn - custom" or something like that, it should work then. If it doesn't work, then I don't know.

    Health dropping for no reason

Do you not notice your blue temperature icon? Being dark blue makes you lose health, so does red temperature. Yellow and light blue do nothing besides speed up the rate you get hungry.

    dayz 1.12 bad or good?

I agree that they maybe aggro too quick, but in 1.12 they stop aggroing much quicker. It might be hard for freshies, but your best bet is to sneak a bit, and if you have to fight with one, do this: Power attack once, simple attack once, and then block until zombie does an attack, then power attack again, and simple attack again, then block again. Repeat that process until zombie is dead. There is no more mindless left clicking, now you have to actually use some mechanics, and I like that a lot. Melee weapon damage balance is up for debate, but the overall concept of it I like very much. Zombies also do less damage than before, but I just wish they would stop ruining my clothes so quickly, or make me bleed out in 30 seconds...
