How about we get what we paid for?

Stop exaggerating, it's nowhere near with every update... hur dur muh progress, I really don't get what's the deal? either way you lose everything when you die. PS5 still runs at 30 even if it's actually capable of doing more, Xbox SX is 60 (better backwards compatibility from what I know, should also be capable of more unless they are targeting like 1440p or higher). Both consoles shouldn't have lag when loading stuff though. I would suggest taking a look (just a look) at prebuilt PCs (but prices have gone through the roof since the human malware started), for 700-1000 USD you should be able to find a decent PC (if the prices aren't too bad) and you will have much more options with DayZ, but... if DayZ isn't the only game you play, maybe it won't be worth it.
  2. What friends LUL none of them even want to touch the DayZ, they know the state of the game
  3. I will have to check it out a bit later, thanks for doing it. It will probably provide good insight in how PVP will playout in it's current state, and it's something BI should have done as well.

    Some ideas

I fully agree with some, but only partially with others. I will comment my take on each quoted point in it's own row. Birds would be a cool addition to add life to the world. Camo nets for camo blankets (I assume like ghillie coats) would probably be abused too much, and too powerful. "Your character slow down when he go-up a slop" - DayZ used to have that but it was so badly implemented that it became annoying. Stamina does need a rework if you ask me, you should be able to sprint longer but wasting much much more food and taking much much longer to recover + more sway while aiming, kinda like exhaustion. Unique slots would be cool. Bleeding would also be nice if it was tied to the damage source like: zombie hits - slow bleed, 380 acp - medium bleed, .308/x54r - high bleed. Bleeding from ruined shoes and ruined gloves is slower than usual bleeding in vanilla, so that's nice. I would like if heli crash sites were an actual event with helis actually crashing down and players are able to see them in the sky flying. It would attract more players to those areas and make PVP hot spots. There was a thread suggesting that insta black screen shouldn't be a thing unless it's a headshot, and it would probably be cool if you could hear the shot from far away that killed you while black screen is slowly fading in. The rest I don't agree with, or don't think it needs to be added/changed/implemented.

    Bring back Volumetric Clouds

phys_brokenVehicles = 0; // (1 for true, 0 for false) There, broken vehicles are fixed. They already acknowledged the issue and are from what we know, working on it. https://dayz.com/article/developer-update/DayZ-in-2021 You can read up more in that article, those are the general plans for 2021. There might be a lot of details left out, but that's the general plan. Volumetric clouds would be cool AF so long as they don't provide a disadvantage or an advantage in graphics between 2 players, and if they don't impact the performance too much.

    Stream issue in windowed mode

Decrease ingame brightness to 50% (middle). Game in windowed mode somehow gets affected differently by the brightness slider than in fullscreen.

    Dayz mod Xbox

I feel like base building needs an overhaul (what doesn't need an overhaul in this game...), the standard wall/gate sizes are too big for some of the doors, and especially too big to cover windows. My proposal is that the system should work like this: 1. player selects starting point of the wall 2. player select ending point of the wall 3. if there is something in the way, player can't build 4. game gives you a prompt of how long the wall is, and how many resources it would take 5. distance between first and second points should be either the same as vanilla OR longer/unlimited to make building a layout of the base much easier 6. game automatically scales down the visual size of the wall to fit the size limits specified by the player (pillars on the ends, wall in the middle with additional pillars if the length is longer than X distance) 7. game automatically scales the number of planks, nails and stuff to fit the size (say, wall 50% of the size of the normal wall should at least use 50% resources of a normal wall) 8. if the wall is longer than vanilla, game should automatically divide long walls into smaller segments (prompt in 4th step should inform the player of segment sizes, because size = durability that are either approx vanilla size or smaller (long walls that I mentioned in the second part of 5th step) 9. walls smaller (50% size) than vanilla sizes should also have less durability (50% durability) (ideal for boarding up windows, but not entrances)

    Dayz mod Xbox

Short answer: No, but... Long answer: No in a sense that I don't want mods to be directly ported into the game, but you have a good idea and they should take a look at some "vanilla-feel" mods and add stuff similar to those mods, BUT it should not affect game balance in any bad way (no OP guns, no OP armours). Consoles are missing out on a lot of cool stuff (vanilla PC too). Game is missing some stuff that makes the game feel alive, that makes it feel like an actual realistic world and that is variety. 1.12 added various types of new foods, and that's amazing for the immersion, and things like that I would like to see more of. Agreed, game is missing exactly that, not OP guns (pioneer is a good addition, now we just need semi auto only 5.56 that is slightly less rare than m4) , or new calibers, it's missing variety of the existing stuff that makes the world believable and not too repetitive. I don't want to list all the possible ideas, just more of the "vanilla" stuff would be nice, stuff that fits into the game like: Hunting gloves/vests or Green plate carrier or a basic scarf or normal gloves (not working, not combat, not tactical, just normal warm gloves). Trade system, idk, dropping loot on the ground and trading that way feels more organic to me than a pop up UI does. To give an example, something like this: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1797720064 Now I'm not saying they should blatantly copy it, but that's kinda stuff I want to see. Also, could you guys make Bandana masks usable as armbands (no insulation, obviously), it would give more variety for armbands.

    CONCEPT. Pop-up interface.

I like the idea, but the way it's executed will matter a lot.

Add money- banknotes to DayZ (PS4)

Because that's not DayZ. Money would have no value in an apocalypse world. Only the real useful stuff like: food, ammo, medical supplies, clothes, hell bloody soap and shampoos would be worth a ton. Money only works in a society because we all agreed upon that money represents something, you usually work for it, so for example, 100$ could be worth to you wasting 8 hours of your day working. With enough working, you get enough money to buy a phone that is worth like 60 hours of working (without expenses). Money is just a paper, it's a human made concept that actually doesn't have real value, but imaginary one. And those kinds of exotic concepts won't work when world goes upside down. EDIT: and also, traders ruin DayZ. I dislike servers with traders.

Idea for Better Player Interaction on Xbox

They should just make it like on PC, Caps Lock is hold to talk, 2x Caps Lock is toggle. (unless that keybind is already taken on console) And I think DayZ modding is the wrong place for this topic. You could have posted it in Suggestions, I think.

    Character Creation

Could be, haven't played there in months due to performance issues. Official runs better for me, somehow (maybe because official server I usually play on is high pop, instead of full like Spaggies).

    Character Creation

You are right, now in update 1.13 they are changing it to no clothes at all for that ultra realistic hardcore survival feel. You wouldn't wear a T-shirt in autumn, silly devs. /joking Jokes aside, I'm okay with it, but whatever. All I want for the endgame to be a bit harder... I've gone from the coast to Tisy, gone back to the NWAF, and back to Tisy and I STILL don't have hunger issues (I do find food on my way, but it's way too easy to survive inland. Food should be even more rare). I think the reason why starting gear is so bad is that they want to promote the randomness and progression of finding clothes. Jeans are better than half of the pants that do spawn in the coastal towns (or even more than half). Jeans are literally medium tier, along with a lot of military clothes, so I guess that's why they changed it.

    Weapon/Melee Bug

Maybe try sending a bug report ticket on DayZ Feedback Tracker, they acknowledged both of mine reports, and one of them is fixed in their internal build that is yet to release to stable. Inventory/unability to swap things/reload etc can get bugged, I'm not 100% sure that it's the same thing that you are explaining, but it could be that. Some things are easier to fix than others.

    Character Creation

Yeah, you click Respawn, and then another window comes up with: Respawn - random, Respawn - custom. It's a relatively recent addition from what I recall. It got implemented either in 1.10 or 1.11, if I recall correctly.

    1.12 Experimental Release

Agreed, increase the damage of big melee weapons BUT increase their inventory size too. Kinda dumb that we can put Splitting axes into jackets. And give them maybe more stamina drain unless that's already a feature. That would make the difference between big tools vs small tools a bit more important than sheer damage (and a bit of size in the inventory difference, but they are still as of right now, small enough to fit into jackets...) Only bigger tools should cause zeds to stun, remove power attacks from zeds that would make blocking attacks actually kinda important.
  17. For me, it would be cool to at least let me hear the gun shot... (if it wasn't a headshot). They could make it even play the same or similar animation as dropping uncon, but without the immediate blackscreen. Let it slowly fade out over a period of few seconds (this would also add to the uncertainty if you are going to die or go uncon from "pain" (shock damage)). I don't know if I would allow players to interact with items like unpinning a grenade, or using their sidearm as a last resort to take out the dude, but it sure would be nice to sometimes yell out "nice words of encouragement" to the other dude that betrayed me, or to hear if I got shot from far away so I can at least know if that was a good shot from like 300 meters. It seems like it would be a neat feature, and it definitely will have uses for RPing too, if people are into that.
  18. In a few weeks, as usual.

    Xbox Experimental Update 1.12 (Changelog)

What about it? 1.12 experimental (or so far any experimental) isn't available on Sony platforms for probably licensing (or some other issue) issues or something similar that Sony is in charge of and doesn't allow it.
  20. I think I know what he meant by jittering, I feel like it happens when the server/game sees that you have just a tiny bit of stamina left, but your game/server doesn't see it. Similar things can happen when vaulting over walls and you have just barely enough stamina to make it. Server/game sees that you have enough stamina, but your own client/server doesn't. Making your character just do random position changes that correspond with vault animations/sprinting speed without vault animations/sprinting speed (it doesn't happen every time). To explain the steps to reproduce it: 1. Have 0 stamina, let it start regenerating. 2. Spam jump key/vault key next to a wall to vault as soon as you have enough stamina. 3. As your stamina is regenerating, server/game sees that you regenerated enough stamina but your game client/server doesn't. So it plays no vaulting animations, but server side it's moving your position and making you vault over the wall while not showing the proper animation, just updating your "camera position"/ character position when he is at the top, and at the bottom of the other side. I've got no videos of these issues, and I feel like game client/server side stamina regen difference (possibly ping related) is causing the issues. Same happens when sprinting, sometimes server/game have a mismatch in stamina, so instead of doing normal sprinting, your character does a brief "stutter run" until he depletes stamina on the server/game side. I'm not 100% sure which side is causing it, but I assume that client side does the animations, and the server side checks if the player should be able to change positions based on their stamina. I feel like it's easier to replicate the vaulting stamina desync (if it is desync) than it is to replicate the running stamina mismatch, I will keep an eye on it if I ever encounter it.

What? You used GeForce Now (unless you didn't mean that) to "improve graphics it does not choose disturb"? is that a new feature of GeForce Now?

    Shadow Bug

Did they not say that it will be fixed in 2017? players are allowed to complain when the game has been out for so many years, and it's still not a finished product. Yes, that's the harsh truth, and devs have their reasons that are understandable, but come on... There's one more lighting bug that I encounter on a quite common basis, I'm currently searching my screenshots folder, I should have evidence of it. This one, notice how there is no lighting when I zoom in my eyes. I will make a ticket a bit later if I don't find an existing one already. https://imgur.com/a/diNJRXn I have no idea how to insert an image directly.

    PS5 60FPS Patch

They said sometime in 2021 IIRC, and 2021 is still ongoing. When they decide to fix PS5, they could also fix RX5000 and RX6000 issues.
  24. Nah, all I'm saying is that guessing all the combinations is dumb, and there should be different ways to lock a base without the potential of just breaking in after trying combinations for 30 minutes (keep the codelocks in, but add a rare alternative to codelocks too). I'm not sure about base decay, but from what I know, items in the world just suddenly vanish when their time expires. Lets say, there are 4 steps (pristine, worn, damaged, badly damaged) and then final ruined, that means if a wall (I'm just throwing random numbers just to explain my idea) lasts for 4 weeks: First week of not fixing the wall: Pristine Second week of not fixing the wall: Worn . . . And after enough time, they should get ruined, and disappear. Walls should get a slight durability buff to offset the damage of the second week, or something close to that. I would make this "maintenance" thing to almost all items, but I'm assuming that this is too server performance heavy and that's why there is no such thing, I might be wrong. For example, I find it dumb that guns stashed in the ground don't get damaged over time.
  25. But it's like that in vanilla, you have to click every time you want to punch/hit a wall, tools get damaged, so you need like 5 sledgehammers for a 1 wall so that you can crawl under it. That's about 1200 clicks/hits with a sledgehammer. You are underestimating how tough base walls truly are, and if you get raided but you only had 1 gate, that's your issue, not a game issue. Stack multiple gates so that it's harder to raid. The only thing that I would maybe change is breaking the code locks by just guessing all the possible combinations, or add the ability to use something other than code locks. As I already said, making bases shouldn't be easy and neither should it be something that everyone does or even a majority of players, imagine if EVERY SINGLE PLAYER IN THE SERVER made a base, over a period of a week there would be at least 60 to 300 bases easily. Bases should reward effort, as they do now because if you play regularly, and better yet if you have 2-3 teammates it's easy to have bases. No dumb offline/logout safe space/indestructible bases, that's just dumb. The only 2 improvements that I would to do bases is adjustable wall lengths, shorter walls = less resources needed. You select one point, another point, and that's the distance of your wall. Should be limited to max distance of the current wall. Another improvement would be more materials, or just more types of walls/fences/gates that are harder to make, but are more durable I would maybe make bases decay over time, so that if players aren't maintaining them, they get slowly destroyed (over like few weeks, but if that change does go through, I would add a small buff to base durability, like 5% at most). There are plenty of modded servers that have basebuilding mods, or mods that restrict raiding to only with stuff like C4 and such, maybe you should check those out (unless you are on a console). This all comes from a player who never even once built a single wall, so no wonder my opinion is different. I live a life from 0-100 then I die, and I'm back to 0 again. That's the way that I like playing this game, and I'm not saying my way is better, but making standard base walls even tougher would be too much.
