We really don't, but some more DIY or uses for items would always be neat. Love the change to sunglasses in 1.14.

Yeah I agree... Used cans shouldn't be able to seal up, so liquid should spill overtime in backpacks or immediately make backpacks/containers wet. There's lot's of good ideas here, and most of them would fit DayZ, but they would most probably end up changing the game too much... not saying that it's bad. Just it's gonna change the game, probably for the better. There needs to be more interactions with the enviroment, and more DIY stuff in DayZ. Game should be about using everything you can to your advantage. TLDR: OP has few good ideas, maybe should be implemented or taken as ideas for game direction (more DIY stuff).

There's a difference between having unrealistic suggestions, and suggesting some minor tweaks. That kind of handling you can only expect from rally sims, for that look into Dirt Rally 2.0 and such games. They've said they plan on fixing car stability issues, so give them more time. It's going to come eventually.

The "Pew Pew Pew" players have over win.

IDK, I was just under assumption that M4, LAR and such are no longer helicrash spawn, is that correct? Did all the fancy loot get moved to the Toxic zones? After thinking it through while writing this comment... I do see one really good positive in toxic zones, and that is going through the map to find NBC gear, and then having to come back to the coast offers a new challenge and promotes player movement. Promoting player movement is always good, and playing more passively after you find all the NBC gear might be the way to go if you want to come safely to the toxic zone to get the loot. -

I don't get it either, so he's not the only one that doesn't understand. Static zones are great addition, bombings are okay with possible annoying issues in the gameplay loop (bases, logging in JUST before the bombing...), but I don't agree 100% with the loot changes. -

But DayZ is not a game about a war primarily, it's about a war AND zombie apocalypse. Bombings make sense because they want to kill the zombies, but because of the gameplay loop you have to keep respawning them after the gas is gone. If you had a zombie apocalypse IRL, you would most probably end up bombing the whole place to the ground to contain the virus, wouldn't you? How? I'm 1000% sure countries would bomb the places that have zombies to stop the contamination, you somehow seem to be okay with a fantasy of zombie apocalypse, but bombing them doesn't make sense to you? Gas zones literally aren't made for "Pew Pew Pew" players, they are made for everyone, and I'm really lost in your logic. Edit: Yes, certain guns spawn only in the static gas zones, but it's not like you can't find AK-101s and AK-74s and SKS's in military bases where there is no gas... those are good weapons. And I'm pretty sure LAR still spawns at helis too... -
They really don't as of recent patch to the experimental. In dynamic zones all zombies die, no NBC zombies spawn, only occasionally a zombie spawns but it dies in half a minute or so...
-
On 1.13? It's just a teaser for 1.14. On 1.14? It could be artillery strikes/ heli crashes.
-
Static zones: I agree 100% that they should be in the game. Dynamic zones: I agree 50% that they should be in the game (bases in towns are lame now because of dynamic zones, and building bases in forests is awful). If you ask me, I would remove dynamic zones. What kind of comparison is this? this makes no sense... You can just... not go into the newly added zones and have almost the same game experience as always

It's not under beta DayZ, it's a Standalone "version" of the game in your Steam Library named: DayZ experimental.
-
Could be easily abused to give away the position of the snipers/campers/whatever you call them to your teammates. So no. Report function would be good tho... maybe.
-
There's a new update, go check it out now. I played for a bit, had no issues.
-
Nah, should be soon. From what I've heard, what MIGHT be happening is that server is doing too many coordinate checks to see which players are and which aren't in the toxic zone, causing lag spikes and eventually server crash. Now, this isn't confirmed information, just speculation so take it with a handful of salt. Interestingly enough community servers work... Kinda weird, but eh... This IS the point of experimental afterall. Find game breaking issues, fix it, patch it, and then when it works ship it.

It's probably not the internet... something is going bonkers, apparently there will be a fix on monday.
-
Does it tho? I thought there was like a 2-3 sec delay just like normal grenade fuse. I don't think mines deserve a nerf in terms of damage, maybe rarity nerf (make them more rare).
-
Here. There's no vignette unless you have batteries. So you can have them in a lowered/turned on position, but without batteries there is no vignette (normal vision, no changes).
-
Yeah I realized that very early on, but I'm just that bored LOL Anyway let's hope with the expansion of DayZ dev team, the game will have the cars fixed next year. Even though I'm not a fan of cars and I don't really care, there's a lot of folk that do care about it.

Yep, all clearly caused by an invisible baked in pebble that's repeated every 5 meters because the same texture is applied throughout the map on every road every 5 meters. Sounds much more convincing than thinking there might be a physics and network issue with the game that is known for having tons of sync issues and other plethora of issues. /s
-
Mesh is just a grid like pattern that's made to represent a surface, it has vertices, edges and faces. Texture is an image applied to said mesh to make it look like the desired object, in this example, a road.
-
That's just a road texture that's repeated every like 5-10 meters, there's no baked in pebbles... LOL... you have no clue what you are talking about. Thank you for entertaining me in these times of boredom, but now I've got some other internet trolls to feed.
-
Game has no pebbles on the road... Please feel free to find one in the game and post hiqh quality screenshots that aren't a smudgy mess of textures on youtube videos. Thank you in advance.

Lmao man, are you serious? Are you like legitimately serious?!?! I think there's no reason to debate further with you.
-
1.14 experimental is coming today, so buckle up fellas... don't forget the protection 😆

You seem REALLY salty about a fun event they added... eggs are fun (and it's only gonna be like once a year). Do you hate fun?
