I always hoped it will, but it could just be them not giving any false promises... idk. Maybe Enfusion isn't anywhere near finished and it's in worse state than DayZ in general? Overall, kinda a bummer that DayZ won't get the full Enfusion.

Ability to stealthkill while zombie is in the "huh?"-mode
DefectiveWater replied to Gregor Lenhardt's topic in Suggestions
tbh it takes way too long, should be changed just how the OP said. I don't even bother with stealth kills cuz they somehow sometimes hear me even when I'm wearing sneakers (or I'm just bad at it?), with boots it's pretty much impossible. -
Fair enough, but I will keep wearing armor for 1 on 1 situations where both of you shoot at the same time. Plenty of situations like that, people with baby AK's, mp5s, umps... He dies/goes uncon (if he has a vest too), but you also go uncon too if the vest saves you. Edit: I still think that Stab vest is unrealistic and too strong. It shouldn't save you from dying to a single mosin/tundra shot.

Using voice commands for triggering emotes
DefectiveWater replied to kevo1414's topic in Suggestions
Cool suggestion, but realistically is never going to be implemented and it is way too hard to implement it for such low results. It's easier to give us the function to rebind actions/emotes to different F-keys, instead of the preset ones. -
Stab vest / Press vest is where it's at. Even a stab vest will save you from dying to a single x54mmR and .308.

Console Item Storage Prioritization Feature
DefectiveWater replied to BushWookie_244's topic in Suggestions
Maybe just giving console players a "cursor like" feature to use with thumb sticks? Plenty of games have that, but I'm not sure if it work well with DayZ. It's still going to be inferior, but might be easier to manage inventory than the current way. -
Because it's not properly implemented? and probably never will be. It's also not part of the official game.

Is this a troll? I agree the zombie AI isn't the best, but... maybe you shouldn't shoot when you know you can get swarmed by zeds. Not blaming you, game HAS issues with zombie AI detective detection skills, but you should learn and adapt until they fix it.

Yet another quality post. All the beans for you! I especially like the dynamic/static zone change. They could change the opacity/transparency of the smoke to be more dense in static areas compared to the dynamic ones, or dynamic should have a white smoke, and static yellowish. Rope should also be usable, right? Also medical splint should be a thing. Then once the game has 2 types of splints, you SHOULD be able to sprint with them, but... you will be in pain, and there's a chance of the splint breaking. Medical splint should be the strongest, makeshift splint should be weaker thus easier to break when sprinting. Also jumping from heights should break a splint. While I like this idea, I think it might be frustrating. But, if it shows which slots will be dropped then it's fine to some extent. Also it shouldn't drop too many slots. Badly damaged should only remove 25% of the slots at most. I agree 100% with every other suggestion though. EDIT: I would add another suggestion of mine: New eating sounds, and decreased eating sound range... it's SO loud.

Update 1.15 Xbox Experimental (Change Log)
DefectiveWater replied to Kyiara's topic in Xbox Experimental Updates
People have been asking for it for years, so I would think not. Out of all of the bugs, I think this should be a priority one if possible. Night time is a big part of DayZ. -
New gun mechanic that will complicate and simplify at the same time
DefectiveWater replied to Artyom Kalinin's topic in Suggestions
There needs to be tweaks to gun wear. Continuous full auto should cause more wear than single shot once every here now and then. Overall gunplay and guns need to be reworked I think... But I think it might be nice if guns could get dirty too, idk. DayZ doesn't have mud mechanics - if you roll around in the mud you aren't dirty, so idk... -
I mean you don't run, but you do walk. So when people loot bodies, they just go left right left right left right... cheesy just like you said.
-
I would honestly prefer that they remove moving in inventory in PC version of the game.
-
Not to mention that you bleed at the same speed from a .308, .22, an axe and a zombie attack
-
I hope they'll change the visuals, make it more vignette like because they already have such an effect when you receive shock damage. Also it shouldn't show the position of the shooter, it should show which side of your body got shot/hit (idk if it's possible...). Then the next thing they need to do is make that damage indicator show if it made you bleed or not, and I think I'll be happy with it. I really hope they won't remove it, because the potential is there, all it takes is to change it up quite a bit and improve upon.

Neat, I guess more people like it than people dislike it. I just hope it get's visual tweaks, should be a good patch.

Update 1.15 Xbox Experimental (Change Log)
DefectiveWater replied to Kyiara's topic in Xbox Experimental Updates
Suggestion for the hit indicator: Normal hits should be black/darker. Hits that make you bleed should have a bleeding indication. Hopefully with enough onscreen feedback we can move from having HUD always visible to it being dynamic/non-existant. Would make the game more immersive. -
Are they mindless though? With their ESP and map knowledge that can track me across 3 buildings and through 10 various door frames. I think it's just an issue with AI implementation. Just like them being able to aggro onto me during pitch black nights while I can't see them, but they can see me. Edit: I do get what you are saying tho. But when somebody shoots and they notice ME from like 20 meters instead of going to the shots... Just feels bogus.
-
Yup, I know that feel. So dumb sometimes.
-
You can feed other players if you are in their proximity. Kinda unrealistic that you would manage to feed someone without them knowing about it. The thing about kuru is that you don't get it IRL from eating human meat, but something something something eating human brain... I think (not sure, but read stuff about kuru long time ago). I personally don't have issues with kuru except that you can feed other players so easily.
-
Yeah, zombie aggro is sometimes just broken (not behaving in an expected way). One time there was a ton of shooting in Svetlojarsk, but the zombies gave 0 Fs about it. But once I was like 15-20 meters away from them, I aggroed all of them. I was sneaking all the time, making no sounds. They certainly can ruin PVP (happened to me more than a dozen of times), but that's why players should adapt. Zombies will always be a part of the game, you better either adapt (avoid shooting in towns and such, be ready to run if you shoot, have a plan how to escape, etc etc) or get used to them swarming you as soon as you shoot.
-
Military locations or pretty much any inland town/village can spawn 7.62x39, also hunting areas. In short, everywhere.
-
Or it's the exact opposite. NVGs just shouldn't exist. You want light? Use lights. Simple as that. Along with that I would love if they fixed zombie aggro during nights, also if they fixed light bugs... EDIT: also, they could fix nights so they aren't pitch black... NVGs feel out of place for DayZ.

I'm not defending anyone. I'm just telling you how the situation is. Not seeing player names in a Steam Player list is a good change even if it was a bug. We don't need META bs in DayZ.
