I currently use a M4A1CCO and a M24 as my loadout. Was using an M16ACOG and DMR before I got killed :(

I can confirm this as well. Was running with 2 friends who 1, had a decent computer compared to me, and the other has system not as powerful, and they both seemed to run more lowly than myself..

I use Steam/TS3/Skype all the time to talk with groups of friends who are playing with me. That still has NEVER prohibited me from using direct communication or side chat when trying to figure out if someone is friendly..

Winchester: bad accuracy at longer ranges, delay between each shot, 15 round magazine Any other assault rifle: accurate at longer ranges, no delay between firing (burst/auto modes even), 30 round magazine The fact of the matter is that the Winchester IS NOT a bad gun when it comes to hiding in chern/elek.. But when you are in a firefight with someone who has an assault rifle, chances are you are going to be the one killed. I for one would much rather be walking around with an assault rifle if I get shot at, because I know I will stand a better chance..

@Grey508 Your definition of quality is flawed.. COD has much less glitches, is more optimized etc.. I'm not saying I prefer COD to Arma II whatsoever, I actually am not a fan of COD.. But obviously the majority of people seem to like COD.. And I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people still playing COD 2 last time I checked.. How old is that game again? Without a doubt, the majority of people are going to continue with the series they love, just like original flashpoint players are playing Arma II , many original COD players are no doubt playing MW3.. And while it is a few years older than Arma, It still generates a larger playerbase. Alright Bayers outta be trolling, gonna stop posting now..

Fuck I just tried to post that it probably isn't too hard to keep the character in-game for a period of time.. It's probably fucking difficult after thinking that one through.. However, (fuck I need to actually think for longer before I post so I don't contradict myself ahh fuck it) it seems that with the skin bug (turning into a bandit/survivor, and having your skin left behind) there might yet be a way to delay the character logging out..

It's called "catering to the lowest common denominator." There is no correlation between quality and popularity. The Billboard Top 40 and NYT Best Sellers list are ample proof of that. I don't think I could disagree more with what you just posted.. Especially with the Billboard reference.. I as well as (apparently..) millions of other seem to see some quality in the songs.. I agree completely. COD is obviously doing SOMETHING right.. The franchise would not have continued this far if that wasn't the case.. What I feel most people complain about, bandit wise and thus forming comparisons to COD, is being shot when they are clearly not a threat and most likely do not possess any items worthwhile to the person who shot him/her. When someone doesn't even bother to check the loot when say, they sniped them from 500m away and they were carrying a Winchester per say.. It does bother me a little. And I can see the reasoning behind it, most of the time people are bored and they already have very good equipment. But (this is what I do when I have good equipment) isn't trying to kill those preying on others more fun? I personally love hearing about some sniper in chern/elek and making it my mission to hunt this bandit down. The reward from liberating a city from a gutless fellow makes me giddy at times. Just a thought, not saying to get rid of pvp and what not but it sure does add a level of excitement..

Yeah, I think he's a little handicapped.. @Krisko For serious? My buddy, almost has his settings cranked, know why? Because it is the only way to make the game look normal.. Different systems require different settings to make the game look the same. Yeah, sure people abuse it (Yeah, me) but it is the way of the road bud.. Way of the fucking road..

Oh sorry, the super smart AI that watches every player in the server at all times didn't notice that he shot you first.. Don't believe a system could be implemented to register who shot at who first EFFICIENTLY that wouldn't lag the server to hell. Besides, the skins are going bye-bye soon enough.

I never used the gamma/brightness turned up until I was killed a couple times by people who do. I was killed in the middle of a forest and when I went to claim my body (with gamma/brightness turned up) I could see the bandit and killed him, and found no NVG's on his body. Yes the hypocrisy is ripe however, I was sick and tired of being at a disadvantage.. And forcing a certain gamma/brightness option is definitely not an option because I have seen the great difference between two setups and it differs too greatly. But at least it doesn't work when the moon is down =)

Honestly, as someone who hadn't played Arma 2 before this game, I actually like the inventory system. You do not magically have your bag open in real life, so thus one must open it to access items in the bag. Obviously it isn't the BEST system but nonetheless, it is quirky. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard unconfirmed reports that throwing bottles at players can cause broken bones... Sounds like the bottle kids are up to no good =D
