I honestly don't understand the problem? Ok, decisions need to be made in the early game as to what I take and leave behind yes, but when I'm up and surviving with good clothes, my backpack is still empty... The only issue I have had is when one of my friends gets killed I can't carry all their gear to them like I used to. Is that the problem? People can't carry two peoples worth of gear? Good riddance, I say to that. I'm quite sure the OP could still satisfy an 8 hour picnic, armed with a field backpack, despite its new 64 slot inventory size, overflowing with beans. I just hope the poor soul entering which ever barracks they're sat in is alerted by the stench before it's too late.

I am enjoying the changes and the general direction of the game. I've felt that the survival aspect of the game has become so easy and such an afterthought that the game has slowly turned into a hardcore battle royale. I don't like the way that players now spawn together now in the same place though, but apart from that I've no major complaints. The glitching and duping issues on official console servers are unacceptable though.

Character transfer from Livonia/Chernarus to Sakhal?! Why?
RZ0R replied to bukwit's topic in General Discussion
It really needs to be 1 character per server. Loot economy changes even on the same map, depending on how busy a server is. This has been abused forever. -
It seems to be a survival based update, so it seems reasonable you're dissatisfied. I'm enjoying things so far. I felt the game was more shooty PVP than it was survival, so the shift in balance is welcomed.

I'm not noticing much of a difference. I seem to aggro more infected crouch walking through a town than I do firing a VS89.

TheRunningManZ's open letter to the DayZ developers

Agree with absolutely everything. There's been too may incremental little changes over time which are making the game a little tedious now. The zombie AI is so dire that making them 'harder' is just highlighting how bad it is now. Adding an SG5 15rd mag was weird. With plate carriers being so abundant the SG5 wasn't a good gun already. Adding a 15rd mag made it worse, and just cluttered the loot pool with another useless piece of loot New zombie noises would be nice too. I can only speak for consoles, but I woud also like to see a time penalty for leaving and joining a server in quick succession, to so stop players from using it to look through walls as the assets are loading in. -
I beg you, please sort the walls hahahaha. It's every update for the past year... see though... walk through.I can't help but smile at this point when I see the patch notes.

Has the event finished or are the event areas dynamic? I can't find any today. Cheers

Yea, the way the bunker is played on console is poor. I've been in twice and both times it was a lot of effort to get in trying to find a keycard. Both ended in the same way, being shot in the back by someone spawning in a small room which I'd previously been in. That's not fun.

Last time I shot a gun the experience wasn't comparable to either mouse or controller, if I'm honest.

I suppose DayZ kind of has this in the 'softskills' mechanic that doesn't actually work. If you play in a particular way, you become more proficient in certain skills. I think that works. They could get it working and perhaps expand upon it a bit.

A non-lethal device you could set on a trip wire to make a noise? I suppose a grenade works...

And you totally should be able to! As we all should. It's weird that the pelts have little use in this survival game... hoping for the future.

I got that impression too. I feel as though they are just trying something new. If you know where you're going you can just run to the next town, sure. But if you aren't sure, you're stuck with the chaos, especially if it's a small town. I don't care for it, but I can work around it.
