Have you upgraded to a wired internet connection yet? WIFI is known to be unreliable for gaming.

Don't worry about him...he just likes to complain a lot. People like us come here periodically for updates and then have busy lives in the meantime. We enjoy the game and the fluidity of vehicles for what they are. They think they're bouncers in charge of this forum just cause they hang around non-stop complaining, posting excessively. Entitlement at its finest. I second your congratulations to Bohemia. Wonderful job you're doing exactly everything you should! They really gave us the survival game of our dreams. Only some insignificant kinks to iron out at this point. We know the vehicles will be perfectly polished by end of 2022 with the hard work you're doing! Heck, Forza in a massive open-world survival game? What more could one ask for?

Experimental Update 1.17 (Change Log)
GamerWarrior2000 replied to Kyiara's topic in PC Experimental Updates
Don't know what kind of drugs you're taking cause every time I use cars they work so perfectly and butter smooth with amazing controls like a racing game. No lag, no desync, impeccable physics. I think its more likely there's a hardware failure on your end causing the issue. Everyone else is having a great time driving around except you. -

Wow you've been such a bandit! Smuggling weapons is a big no no. Maybe you could offer that money to B.I. as a donation to compensate for your lawlessness? -
So much negativity and complaining when DayZ is getting better by the minute! DayZ as of late has been turning into a true survival experience we've all been craving. So I am thanking the developers for their hard work and am excited for what is coming next. I must say once DayZ hits stable 1.14 we will have a near-perfect apocalyptic experience. Leave your appreciation and thoughts about how amazing DayZ is below! Huge round of applause for the magnificent DayZ development team.

What is your evidence that this video isn't faked using editing software? Video editing technology has come along way in 2021, so we can't be sure this footage hasn't been tampered with. This makes it inadmissible as evidence since there is reasonable doubt. Do you have any footage that isn't past its expiry date or new and therefore likely to be fraudulent? B.I. has a lot of angry opposition in the hacking scene that are motivated to bring B.I. and DayZ down and its no surprise they would create this fake video. The fact that you know about it actually involves you as a suspect in the investigation. You may be innocent but you're putting up some serious red flags here with access to such rare and obscure media. Not all of us are so gullible to fall for these technological slights of hand. Lets keep a skeptical outlook until some real evidence is put on the table. If you think I'm wrong, take a look at this YouTube clip. You can't just blindly trust any video you stumble upon on the Internet. It would be different coming from a reputable source like Bohemia Interactive. I've not seen one video of a flying car released on their channel. -

I see when you run out of arguments you resort to name calling. Lets keep this a civil discussion, please and thank you. -

It is important to note that Namalsk is a mod, and the DayZ developers cannot guarantee a stable experience for modded servers. It is up to the server owners themselves to ensure that any added mods do not conflict or cause technical issues. Most of your footage is very old and so the evidence has unfortunately expired. Since then the developers have worked hard and allocated so much time to improve cars as Impulz stated, so you can't compare the past to the present situation. Apples and oranges. In addition, most of that footage is modded and so the onus is on the server owner to install mods responsibly. I understand your frustration, but unfortunately the blame here does not fall on the developers who are working overtime to bring you a seamless vanilla experience. -

Thanks for pointing out this camera artifact so the devs can look into it. A key thing to understand is that in DayZ the player camera and the car physics work independently of one another. That should resolve any confusion you may be currently experiencing. Its understandable that you wouldn't know this because not everyone has my experience as to the complex inner workings of the DayZ game code. Rest assured that under the hood, there is a beautiful mess. Some may even go so far as to call it "art". -

Thank you for proving my point for me. At this point my evidence speaks for itself. Be careful out there, fellow survivor. The roads can be quite treacherous in these trying times. -

I see that due to limited programming experience that you have failed to distinguish between textures and meshes. It is quite clear that the surface elevation of the pebble casts a shadow. -

Its just baked into the map itself. I provided photographic evidence which stands on its own. I see no need to tediously adventure across the map to take another screenshot of that location when I've already proven my point beyond reasonable doubt using OP's own source footage against his case. If that footage is inadmissible as evidence, then OP's own case goes right out the window. -

And here I see you have no substantive counter-argument, just an emotional derailment of the topic at hand. I rest my case. -

Again, in this video we simply witness someone who was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Tragic? Yes. But not a bug. You can see he is in the middle of the road as a car drives straight into him, likely an intentional act by the driver. Sometimes you get so caught up trying to prove your narrative that you have difficulty seeing when the facts don't align with your message. -

I mean if you look closely there is quite clearly a large pebble which caused the car to spin out. Watch as a dark spot on the road goes under the left front wheel. Unfortunately, during the apocalypse roads aren't maintained like modern race tracks. And guess what, thanks to spinning out he got some amazing footage and a great story to tell about his apocalyptic adventure. This is why DayZ is my favorite game. I've gathered some undeniable evidence to support my case. Sometimes those rocks blend in pretty well with the road texture due to weather conditions. It can be quite easy to overlook details and mistake an intended apocalyptic mechanic for a "bug". I rest my case. -

These are some strong words and dare I say projection. One person's absurdity is another person's sanity. Keep in mind that something is not universal if it is not applicable in all cases, so you have logically contradicted yourself. This actually increases the statistical probability that your other statements are false. You have your opinion, I have mine. So lets be civil instead of calling names because you happen to disagree. -

Buddy I been around the block so I know my stuff. Most people who know me rightly call me a veteran, which makes me an expert on cars in DayZ. In the apocalypse roads are bumpy so naturally cars are gonna wobble, they're gonna flip, they're gonna go places you didn't intend due to unsafe road conditions and damaged suspensions. Did you come to DayZ expecting GTA V? Gran Turismo? Mario Kart? Well you've come to the wrong place my friend. Welcome to the apocalypse, where cars don't work optimally. Now I'll tell you the real reason that bikes and planes aren't in the game yet: the developers are taking their time for something bigger and better than you could ever imagine. A rushed product is an inferior one and B.I. makes sure to wait patiently until they've developed the perfect product. When they drop them soon in upcoming updates I can assure you will not be disappointed. At this point you might ask if any of this stops me from getting in a car and driving twice the speed limit. And to that I answer absolutely not. I am a reckless driver in this apocalypse but I've learned how to handle the unique challenges that come with apocalyptic driving. -

Yes most people don't get that the devs are going for the authentic apocalyptic driving experience and so their expectations are shattered when it doesn't drive like Forza Motorsport with full driving assists. -
Hell no. If streamers get perma-stash then so does everyone else which is lame because then you have a perfect storage space that is impossible for others to access. Sorry but being stream sniped comes with the territory of being a streamer and you have to accept this will happen when you are "famous" in DayZ and publicly broadcasting your location. No one is forcing you broadcast your stashes on live stream, that is your choice. If I told the public where my stashes were hidden they would be gone fast too.

I'm delighted that cars are working so well in 1.14. Not sure what OP is whining for since the physics are superior to most modern racing games. -
Experimental Update 1.14 (Changelog)
GamerWarrior2000 replied to Kyiara's topic in PC Experimental Updates
This is a great update. DayZ is finally turning into the real survival game as opposed to the PvP walking simulator at "1.0". So many cool things, I've been waiting for toxic zones for a while now. Longer sunset/sunrise is welcome. No assault rifle limit from storage. Picking up chickens. Stealth animation, much more. I think we will see the game rise in popularity with these kind of quality updates. One major bug that has been going on for many patches is a double-click action bug. When I go to perform an action that requires holding M1, I often have to click twice for it to work, as the first click gets interrupted. This would be a nice bug to see fixed since players perform actions constantly. Anyone else experience this? Poor server performance and rampant hacking is still a major issue for Official servers. Community servers currently resolve this for me but it would be nice to have a playable Official vanilla experience. The main change that I disagree with is making melee targeting more "forgiving". It should take skill to aim. We don't need some console Halo aim-bot for melee attacks. That said, exciting patch and I'm glad to see B.I. not giving up on the game, which is so full of potential. Some more things I would love to see in the future: 1) barricading system for doors with infected being able to bang on doors and kick them open 2) bicycles and helicopters 3) Update some of the really low res textures for certain objects like building interiors. -
When are helicopters in the game? Vanilla

It won't be until they manage to fix the problem with low server FPS that causes vehicles to fly and kill you. -
Devs should bring back speed penalties on slopes. Right now you can sprint up and down super steep slopes like its flat ground and it seems ridiculous. In alpha the penalty was too much on slight slopes so the penalty should adjust according to the slope. Steep slopes give a significant speed penalty whereas the not so steep slopes just a slight penalty. This also makes you have to plan your routes intelligently not just sprint up and down huge mountain sides like a madman.
