Whitelisted Hero friendly Origins server.
britishwalnut posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Howdy yal, opened up a private Dayz Origins server and it is fairly lonely, got a couple of people that play on my server already but just would like some more to interact with, got 40 slots which is way more than needed, but as you could guess, lag free and what not:-) Only things I ask are for the people who would like to join to be friendly, heros, trustworthy and up for being players vs npc/zombies. Any banditry will result in a ban. Don't need to be any certain age or have a mic, just be friendly and follow the rule of only fighting zombies. Any questons pm or reply :-) -

Am I the only bandit who feels guilty when he kills someone?
britishwalnut replied to iGolden's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Maybe you need to just go to the coast and kill spawners so you can get over your emotions of ruining people's days. -
...that I am a cold hearted, twisted, murderous twat. In the past months that I have been playing Dayz, I have murdered about 4-5 people, but after being away from Dayz for a week, I have came back and in the space of 3 hours of playing, I already had killed 9 people in cruel ways, blowing them up with grenades, getting their bones broken so they get eaten alive, wait for players to come back to their body then loot their gear..then kill them all over again and hide the corpse. I am looking for a bandit group to join up with as I know back up and tactics will come in handy, looking for a group that sticks together, has TeamSpeak and mainly has no limits on who is a legit target (For example, a wee old nooblet with nothing but his bare hands being a fair target).

You sound mad, just sayin' If you are waiting for me or anyone else to reload and then attack, I would imagine that isn't going to work out for you, reloading normally means someone has ran out of bullets in their gun, these bullets that are no longer in the gun would most likely be in you, therefore, you would be dead or slowly dying a painful death. -

Well, I guess I am not a bandit, I am just a twat. But what ya gonna do. -

I want to get a server, I see servers with passwords, old versions, the limit 1 to 50 player. Was wondering who are the typical server providers if there is, don't mind about price just as long as it works. In the rules, it says 40 is the minimum slot, but I see loads and loads of servers with less than 40 people, I would like this, is it possible? I am terrible with computers so running a server would be a hard thing for me to learn to do, I am wondering if it is possible to literally rent a server, then be able to have it up and working by the providers? (Do I have to go in to files and stick files here and there?)

Shame, was hoping for a little server, or single player, a shame to have fun surviving realistic then getting shot for no reason at all other than blood lust. -

Hello Dayz players! very excited about this game, only found it yesterday since then I have not stopped thinking about it and looking up stuff on it. Thanks to the makers of this mod, this mod just seems fantastic in everyway. I get paid this Friday and soon as I get my wage then I will be buying this game.(It is painfully hard to wait until Friday, I thought about getting it for free but that just seems wrong.) I have looked around on this forum about where to get the game and Steam seems the best options, I do have a question though about the game from Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Arma-Anniversary-Edition-PC-DVD/dp/B005GUPR66/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1340134937&sr=8-2) If I buy this from Amazon, I will get a map, so my question is, is it worth getting this version of the game for the map to have on a wall to pin down locations of loots, hot zones etc or is it easier to use the online map? Another question I have is, I am looking for a group/clan/friends that I could join a Teamspeak with and play this game while having people there to interact with and get help from if needed. Really would like to find couple of people or a clan to join up with and be loyal too, as far as I can tell, having a person or people that you can trust is a hard to find but great thing to have on this game. Last question is about preparing for my days in the land of the dead, can anyone name a good few videos or threads that would be worth reading up on or watching to prepare for the game and to learn about guns, places, controls and so on. To note, I am brand new to Arma 2 but will learn fast and be very active once I start.
