I have played arma for a long time and some of what you are describing is based on how the server is set up. I think all tags and auto map marking of objects should be removed by the mod. And, yes in certain servers your car will show up to players who can see it. Even if the player hasn't noticed it yet, which is why I think it should be disabled. But they will need to be within a few hundred meters or so. It's not going to show your car to someone who is across the map. I found an atv this way once. Also, yes map markers are showing up to everyone who joins a server. Hopefully this can be fixed In a patch.

I believe that when a zombie hits you there is a small chance of leg fracture. It may be that sometimes you get unlucky and the first hit breaks your leg. Best advice is to be more stealthy and if you do get seen, run into a house before you fight a zombie so they slow down. Stay away from walls because for now at least they can hit through walls. Better yet, run through a house and crawl out a second entrance. This usually will let you escape without having to fire a gun.

I started out like you too. I never shot at anyone first. Then they pulled bandit skins from the game, which is more realistic, and it all went to hell. I started getting shot at in 90% of player interactions. After you lose your gear 20 times to a player who you trusted you learn to either shoot first or die. Now if I see anyone who is a potential threat I shoot them dead because there is a 90% chance they would do it to me. I mostly avoid areas where i am likely to run into players. So, I ended up joining a clan and they all pretty much do the same. Some kiddies think its fun to just snipe other players because they are geared out and it seems like the most fun thing to do. I think the most fun thing is finding those players and killing them. It's a lot of work though. You have to track them and take the time to determine their intentions. But very frustrating with the server hoppers. And a good way to get killed by a 3rd party while you are watching the potential bandit. It's all good fun though. Good luck!

Agreed. Realistic batteries though. I havent researched this but i doubt the thermal scope or nightvision uses standard batteries. Also, The gun should come with batteries loaded in it. But, after a realistic time of use you would need to have found more. But they would need to be über rare if the scopes require special batteries. Flashlight batteries should be common though.

One of the guys in my clan spotted an atv by a building so he hopped on it and drove off. All of the sudden a guy ran out of the building with a m107 and starts blasting at him as he is driving off. He zigzagged and the guy missed about 20 times and then he got to a safe area he got out and looked in the cargo. There were about 10 nice guns and piles of supplies! Apparently he had just stolen the other guys mobile camp. My best find was a l85 with thermal scope at a crash site. But as soon as I got it and started to walk away the server crashed or reset and when I reconnected it was not in my inventory. I was so annoyed. I found a m249 and gillie suit at a site a few days ago. Have served me well!

Thanks for not destroying it. Many players steal everything they want and destroy the rest just to be a dick.

When the moon is out and at least a quarter full and it's not cloudy you can see fairly well and I really enjoy playing those nights. But, when it's cloudy it does get unrealistically dark and you have to pop flares or use flashlights to see where you really wouldn't in real life after your eyes adjusted. Also, I have found that there is a bit of difference in how things look while using different monitors also. I play on my living room hdtv and it's terribly dark compared to a computer monitor.

First... Thanks for those who helped make this map. Second, the server picks randomly from the available crash sites. So, yes it is a random selection. But, no, the locations are not random. They are limited. Third, the dev team need to create about 100 more possible sites and then it will appear much more random and make having a map of the sites less of an advantage. And last, yes alt f4 is cheating, and I have seen tons of players do it. no need to take it out on this guy. It will be managed some way. Log out timers will be nice, but what if you have a bsod or a Internet outage and your character gets killed during the logout delay? I guess it's a price we all will have to pay to combat exploits.
