So I have been trying to follow the reports on the FeedBack site... and I am noticing you all close tickets without filling in what version a bug/feature was fixed/added to. So could you all please start filling in that? It would be really nice to see what issues you all have fixed in future patches.

A Simple Request for Developers

Johnny, Ohh I completely agree. Way to many duplicate ticket. I am starting to put down if something is a duplicate if I can. So yeah I high suggest doing what your doing. Just I know when a developer closes a ticket saying "fixed in latest patch" that drives me nuts. I am always wondering, what was the lastest patch at that time... Cause the issue could have come back :( So yeah... Billy -
Do you think it would be possible to say unban everything. However in order to use say a Javalin or drive a tank or some other object that should require some sort of training... So we add a field/variable to say this person is certified to drive a tank or whatever. Now how does one get certified? Make some sort of item like an instruction manual a user can find at some type of loot spawn and they have to read it. IE make it take say 10 minutes you have to sit down and let the counter run. If you are interrupted during the counter you have to start over. These certifications will also be deleted if you die since your next life is supposed to be someone new. So here you are hunting people down with your AS50_TWS and some luckly survivor comes up behind you with an axe and kills you... well if you make it to your body you can't use that weapon cause your no longer trained. You have to find a new manual. Just an idea....

I understand completely it takes years to truely understand a system. However this is a game and a suggestion thread. The go play wasteland not needed... I personally like the idea of adding a certification system to DayZ. I enjoy the DayZ system. I making suggestions. Something like this would make the game a little more realistic. Realism is what I understand people are wanting. So just saying Anyone can just go and fly a heli... I think is insane. So why are heli's in the game? Adding something like this would make it a bit more realistic. So my suggestion for a certification system I think is still a valid suggestion.

Either will work... but give a "GM" the ability to spawn things. Would need to add something to say hey check is this person an authorized GM if so give them the options... otherwise they don't see them.

OK so... I have really been enjoying playing Missions in ArmA 2 with another group of players and well... It would really be cool to be able to jump on my server and do a little GM event... Say setup a mission where survivors get a message that another group of survivors are trapped in a town and well they are tasked with saving them. So if I could say spawn an AI friendly in a town and just put a number of zeds just walking around... then let the survivors try and rescue said survivor and once they get them back to say a camp, the players will get a prize like some weapons or food or something... Now this would only be done on say private hives but just the ability would be really nice.

OK so I have the "DayZ Anti-Hax 0.5" installed... and it has completely hosed my scripts.txt, createvehicle.txt, & remoteexec.txt files. I highly suggest everyone check those plus your bans.txt file if your using that app.

OK just thought I would write a quick little review of Elpis Host.... They provide a very nice service. The setup was quick and easy. My server is very responsive. Contacting support has been very easy and they respond very quickly. I have made a few suggestions to them and they truly look a the request and more then likely will implement a solution. OK I found the other day that a hacker created a MedBox0 and well... since we don't auto kick for MedBox0 in the createvehicle.txt it was allowed. Well when I got to where this person put the MedBox0 (docks in electro) there was every gun and anything you could want in it. So I put a satchel charge on it and killed everyone including myself near it and then restarted the server. So... was wondering if anyone else has seen this or was it just me. Maybe someone could post list of coords that MedBox's should spawn at, and then when looking/parsing logs I can flag any boxes that might be spawned where they shouldn't be. Let me know... -

If that doesn't work... all I can say is... Welcome to DayZ where the hackers have more control then an admin.... Only other option is to wait 7 days for the vehicles to reset in the Hive and/or MAYBE and this is a VERY VERY big maybe... contacting the DayZ Staff, give them your location ID I believe and they MIGHT and they is a VERY VERY small might be able to do a reset on vehicles for you where the Z coord is a negative number. -

Someday when I get some time... I will write something so it pulls from a MySQL DB my imported data and overly the points and stuff for specific player or item or whatever with a timeline of sort sort. Just need to find the time and motivation to do it. -

Radio's are hacked in items... however just because someone has a radio does NOT promise they are a hacker. Since they could have looted it off a hacker or found it on another body who found it on a hacker or whatever. So please remember don't kick/ban people for just having something. Try and watch for when people spawn them in by looking at the createvehicle.log and look for Boxes (including the MedBox0) and then track that down. In the createvehicle.log it tells you who spawns something. So if you set your createvehicle.txt to log EVERYTHING you will find hey X person entered the radius of a spawn for say a zombie and that person is who caused that zombie to spawn. Same with boxes and other stuff. Using the createvehicle.log is another good way to track teleporting, cause if track a player and say they moved from the NW Airfield to say Electro and the timestamps are only say 10 seconds apart, more then likely that person was teleporting or being teleported. -

In my createvehicle.txt I have a 3 "MedBox0" ... so in my createvehicle.log file I will get it recorded and then can parse it. Using the 3 also makes it so it writes the entry to my server_console.log which I will then see when using BERcon and visually I can tell now if a box is legit. After seeing enough of where legit boxes spawn I can tell just by looking at the X,Y coords recorded and see. Now some (IE heli crashes) I have not totally figured out thus why I do have to track down some boxes and verify if they might be legit heli crash sites. Sometimes I can tell by using things like the DayZDB Map... or I just get in game and do a TON of running. -

Just as an FYI... If you have an entry like this: 16:33:28 "HIVE: WRITE: "CHILD:305:2119511:[173,[1098.31,9181.07,-0.0469513]]:0:"" Where you clearly can see the X,Y,Z coords... best option to really see this is to... use the ArmA 2 Terrian Editor software. You can just double click like your putting something down on the map, you put in the X & Y coordinates and click the take me to the position and you can see it. Then use something like dayzdb map or something to guesstimate about where that point is. However I will STRONGLY recommend ONLY using this method to do hacker tracking. I use this method to determine if a MedBox0 is a valid MedBox0 or not. I DO NOT suggest using this method for your own personal gain. That is abusing your server administration powers. Just because you pay for the server, doesn't obligate you to always having the chopper or URAL or whatever. Only do this for tracking hackers please or else they might take this out of the logs :( -

OK it is great to see I am not the only one finding hackers scripting in the Cardboard/MedBox0 into the game with the guns. And thank you for the video proving what I am seeing. Thus why I am starting to track the spawn locations on my server so I can determine if a box is a hacked or legit one. -

So I am guessing since I don't see any one else mentioning it, hackers are putting MedBox0 into the game with all the weapons and stuff. As for the coords... it is a X, Y, Z starting in the lower left is 0 of the map... then move right X and up Y. Z you can ignore. Best way I have found so far is to use the tools to develop a ArmA 2 map and you can sort of see where that is. Now I will say, I highly only recommend doing this to detect hacking. Please DO NOT do this to abuse your powers or they will take away this in the logs. -

I will be perfectly honest... As just a central DB solution where all players are recorded, great idea, but not something I would want anyone to see for my character. I don't want people to know what I have and stuff. Now for server administration of a personal server, love it... locked down and for the server admin to use to monitor usage and watch for hackers or non-legit items, great idea...
