Solved I think - I believe the issue was, sometimes I was launching my game client where one of my launcher presets was selected, one with namalsk island and namalsk survival was loaded. I had to create a new preset specifically without any mods loaded and select that once, so that if I forget to start the game without specifically selected to play without any mods, that that preset would still apply. IMO a solution should be implemented to prevent mods being loaded on the client side that do not apply to the server side to prevent this sort of thing. Leaving this here for others to find symptoms and solutions

Leaving this here for others to find symptoms and solutions ----------------------------------------------- Despite entirely blowing away my local vanilla no mods Sakhal server and character, this mysterious illness keeps coming back, which looks to be a bug (I thought I had fixed it for a day or two of logons). This only happens on my Sakhal server, not Namalsk etc. Intermittent tunnel vision - which can be momentarily removed by jumping and other actions?!? Intermittent blurred vision. Intermittent grunting (which can also be triggered by looking down sights (which is kinda hilarious) and occasional clearing of throat sound?!? All with no illness icon Also I cannot get my heat buff or into yellow even when sitting next to the fire for 20 minutes. Nothing cures it. I can suicide my character and a new random one will still have it. I can blow away the server and start a new one, but after a few sessions the illness happens again and cant be shaken again. Just discovered that is true, of one character. However, I had two characters, one was on Livonia that restored fine, but the second was on Chernerous and there was no way to restore that. Super irritating as that one had a nice loot barrel setup. What would I do in that situation?

But I don't see my characters in the menu? What gives?
