Just get the long dark that game has everything this has with less bugs in the inventory systems. Also the world gets colder and harder to make it in. Day z just makes you progressively weaker till death. The long dark you have time to learn as you go. Day z is the DnD version of survival with a whole subculture of modders and over privileged fan boys. If your employed time could be spent on a game where spending hours reading about how to cook a goat and what is needed to complete crafts. When the character in the game could do the reading learn the skill all you need to do is rember what materials to get. Not drop this item hold this item pick dropped item up it's on the stick, so crunchy beyond clunky. Yes there are tutorials on YouTube but it's always harder in practice by a factor of 4. ALWAYS.
