  1. Yeah just tried on another zed I got the prompt to load or pick up it this time, didn't see it on first one maybe it was just bad luck. Will have to kill a load n see.
  2. It states resolving an issue for directly loading the crossbow with bolts stuck in players and AI.. But you cannot retrieve bolts from infected unless you leave, body disappears and it's left, or you bury it. Will it be altered so we can get bolts back from zeds at least?
  3. I think the bolt from zed isn't working as intended tbh. If you leave the area so the body is gone, come back and you will find the bolt. If you fire at a tree. You don't see it in vicinity, and the area you can look to get a pick up prompt is tiny. Like really hard to get it in my experience on 1pp at least (I am console but this subforum gets the activity). So I'm guessing it's that you can't see the prompt to take it from a zed as you're just seeing "infected". It needs to be a vicinity item I guess. But yeah the crafting of each bolt is horrible. Should be in stacks as you say. While they're at it make me using a shovel get more than 1 damn worm and let worms stack in like tens or whatever.

    Just wish the random crashing could actually be solved. Very frustrating to be driving, usual game locks up with BRRRRR sound.. Come back to a ruined vehicle. Obviously happens outside of driving too but yeah so annoying. I'd say on series x it's a crash a couple of times a day, sometimes get lucky and there isn't one but yeah I automatically assume any long car journey is gonna result in a game crash and most of the time it does. If it can't be resolved for whatever reason at least make the actual chassis of the car also repairable with the blowtorch or something since that's what ruins the car after a few hits n nothing you can do.

    Wish it would be possible in settings to give up movement and allow left stick to be used for inv management. Always used it not sure if its cos I'm a leftie but not liking right stick. Speaking of that since the patch drift of the right stick in the inventory is really annoying. You also can't hold it up/down to quickly move up and down any more for some reason so it's annoyingly slow...

    My devs. I implore you, please let us place shelters/tents under watchtowers again. Beautiful leather shelters and medium tents under a bases watchtowers brought so much joy and organisation.

    I appreciate as a console player this isn't exactly helpful to pc folk but.. Ever since getting an xbox series x I must say driving a vehicle is now something I don't fear 99% of the time. I'll go anywhere at 90+, no juttering, rubber banding, micro freezes etc. Driving past other players on old xbox, past huge bases, no problems. Nothing has made me crash bar the game actually crashing, something which happens more on chernarus than livonia it seems. This is on a 50 slot community server generally at med pop. But personally I've found server pop to cause no real difference. The whole car going into the sky "illusion" happens very occasionally but just putting the brakes on and waiting a few seconds stops it no issue. I'd hope somehow that sort of result can be replicated by the devs for pc.

    Feel like zeds need their response to gunshots more like v1.11. I'm noticing now you can fire say a mosin or tundra, and it only draws very nearby zeds. You can actually watch zeds within sight range initially respond to the sound but after a few steps just stop and loose interest. I know they want to make it so you can give zeds the slip, but a loud unsilenced round should draw them all to the source of that noise.

    Ah okay can you explain it? Its just at the moment the flag sends out a pulse to refresh bases and items every reset, which they've now fixed as it was a bug. So this is now being removed. At the moment items which exist on the ground longer than a reset are kept by flags, items which don't are not. I've personally confirmed this but I'm sure it's anecdotally an obvious occurrence just from playing the game. At least on private servers anyway I ain't tested on official. Also a few months ago the devs were very much unaware flags kept any loot around, as I got a response telling me I was hallucinating any bags etc n flags only kept bases n crates etc around nothing else. Also noticed on twitter a comment saying their stuff was gone now. But tbh I know it's a risk so I use crates. Just saying lot of servers for various reasons incl RP have items kept by flags, so probably just good to warn em if it'll despawn stuff. I can't see how this change wouldn't despawn all loot tbh, bags have 8hr life say. My current server resets every 6, so bags stay. Codeine pills for example stay, as they last 8hrs on ground. But any time lasting 4, will not stay, as it doesn't get refreshed by the flag.

    Does this mean flags will no longer keep bags and certain other items persisting permanently? A lot of people use bags as storage now due to flags keeping them around and really like the feature, so this will need to be explained very clearly before it's implemented or there will be a lot of upset if people can't prepare.

Hey guys not new to Dayz but a few questions related to the latest version, I'm on console atm... 1) The patch notes say vegetables and mushrooms, possibly fruit too, has had its nutritional value changed. Before all veg you could grow was a flat 20kcal raw, anyone know what it actually is now? A vid on youtube by WOBO mentions zucchini is now 60kcal, not sure about others? 2) When it comes to hunting animals, do all types of deer (stag, doe, buck) have the same health? If so are we still at the situation where regardless of location you can't bring a stag down with a single tundra etc? You still need a blaze, double barrel sawn off etc? 3) Scopes wise, I noticed on the KA-74 when I put a kobra sight on, at close range the bullet does not seem to land at the red chevron, but still at the iron sights that you can see through the scope. Is the idea that at 100m the bullet would land at the chevron? I'd have thought it would be even less likely to with bullet drop tbh. However I notice with the kobra aiming down sights on my character, it seems to swing the gun on the x-axis much quicker than if I aim down iron sights...just trying to work out if irons are better for this gun if you don't want magnification or what. Thanks for any answers guys.

    Fence damage change?

    This might just be a glitch but I'm going at a gate lower panel with a pikaxe gone from pristine to badly damaged used 3 rolls of duct tape and.. Gate is still showing green pristine? I had issues before where even though the animation of hitting and woodchips flying off was on the bottom the top panel would take damage but.... Since the update yeah my melee seems to be achieving nothing what gives? (this is console BTW but wondering if anyone else has experienced it)

    Stable Update 1.09

    I'm thinking what he's trying to get at is the hotfix has not "fixed" anything from a building point of view. Case in point at piano houses you used to be able to build upstairs, and outside the doors of the house. Since v1.09 you could no longer build upstairs nor on most of the raised tarmac area that covers half of the exterior of the property, this means the North door cannot be built in front of exterior wise, and the east door is a bit iffy. This hotfix has made no difference to these nor can I seem to build fences any closer to each other than before. I have also been told that actually base building is even more restrictive since the hotfix, some in apartments telling me they can't actually build fences in the interior in the locations they could before the hotfix. I'm quite baffled as to why the devs even changed anything from v1.07 as tbh the placement of structures seemed fine. Yes there was a bit of clipping at times but since we have no way to choose between lengths or heights of fences, can't barricade windows/doors etc, it was the best option. It seems they're intent on causing frustration for the player base and more work for themselves, I can't see any logical reason tbh.

    I'm noticing less random crashes at the moment, I used to get one almost every day, so that's good! I'd say walls are a bit too strong tbh. I mean it's like 15 full mags of m4 to bring down one half wall. Also I'm noticing with some tools, pretty much all, that if you're trying to melee the bottom panel despite the animation and splinters coming off being right at the bottom, the top half of the wall takes the damage...which is pretty annoying.
