Just wish the random crashing could actually be solved. Very frustrating to be driving, usual game locks up with BRRRRR sound.. Come back to a ruined vehicle. Obviously happens outside of driving too but yeah so annoying. I'd say on series x it's a crash a couple of times a day, sometimes get lucky and there isn't one but yeah I automatically assume any long car journey is gonna result in a game crash and most of the time it does. If it can't be resolved for whatever reason at least make the actual chassis of the car also repairable with the blowtorch or something since that's what ruins the car after a few hits n nothing you can do.

Wish it would be possible in settings to give up movement and allow left stick to be used for inv management. Always used it not sure if its cos I'm a leftie but not liking right stick. Speaking of that since the patch drift of the right stick in the inventory is really annoying. You also can't hold it up/down to quickly move up and down any more for some reason so it's annoyingly slow...

Feel like zeds need their response to gunshots more like v1.11. I'm noticing now you can fire say a mosin or tundra, and it only draws very nearby zeds. You can actually watch zeds within sight range initially respond to the sound but after a few steps just stop and loose interest. I know they want to make it so you can give zeds the slip, but a loud unsilenced round should draw them all to the source of that noise.

Hey guys not new to Dayz but a few questions related to the latest version, I'm on console atm... 1) The patch notes say vegetables and mushrooms, possibly fruit too, has had its nutritional value changed. Before all veg you could grow was a flat 20kcal raw, anyone know what it actually is now? A vid on youtube by WOBO mentions zucchini is now 60kcal, not sure about others? 2) When it comes to hunting animals, do all types of deer (stag, doe, buck) have the same health? If so are we still at the situation where regardless of location you can't bring a stag down with a single tundra etc? You still need a blaze, double barrel sawn off etc? 3) Scopes wise, I noticed on the KA-74 when I put a kobra sight on, at close range the bullet does not seem to land at the red chevron, but still at the iron sights that you can see through the scope. Is the idea that at 100m the bullet would land at the chevron? I'd have thought it would be even less likely to with bullet drop tbh. However I notice with the kobra aiming down sights on my character, it seems to swing the gun on the x-axis much quicker than if I aim down iron sights...just trying to work out if irons are better for this gun if you don't want magnification or what. Thanks for any answers guys.

This might just be a glitch but I'm going at a gate lower panel with a pikaxe gone from pristine to badly damaged used 3 rolls of duct tape and.. Gate is still showing green pristine? I had issues before where even though the animation of hitting and woodchips flying off was on the bottom the top panel would take damage but.... Since the update yeah my melee seems to be achieving nothing what gives? (this is console BTW but wondering if anyone else has experienced it)

I'm noticing less random crashes at the moment, I used to get one almost every day, so that's good! I'd say walls are a bit too strong tbh. I mean it's like 15 full mags of m4 to bring down one half wall. Also I'm noticing with some tools, pretty much all, that if you're trying to melee the bottom panel despite the animation and splinters coming off being right at the bottom, the top half of the wall takes the damage...which is pretty annoying.

Yes I'm on an OG xbox one and framerates are very choppy. Okay alone in very rural areas but even rural towns get choppy, went through vybor, pustoshka etc. Vybor in particular was bad walking down the main road. Was fine before. Tbh if its lighting changes then forget them till we're on next gen consoles/

Base building seems more awkward. I'm finding in the same places I built before it will let me build the base but only let me build the bottom or top frame/wall in multiple places.

What's the illness? Vomiting, coughing/sneezing etc? Interestingly enough on my latest character I caught a cold/flu with no obvious cause, never happened before, usually it seems to be when your character gets cold for a while, however my temperature never went into the blue (cooked meat in my jacket lol) and my hunger/thirst where never bad. I cured the cold with tetracycline pills, it went away, but about 5-10 minutes later it came back despite my condition being good, no one was near me to infect me. After treating it again...it hasn't returned, hope it stays away.

Let's talk about car despawn ...
JoeyB123 replied to William Sternritter's topic in General Discussion
Just happened upon this post, firstly thanks for the heads up on persistence time for generators etc, didn't know that. But I would say from my experience on the xbox at least, bases do achieve those two things. Me and a few people have built a base in a rural area, not built onto a building just a small circular shape with fencing and watch tower in the middle. The watch tower does seem to keep us waterproof when it rains, there's a slight rain animation going through but we don't get wet. Then also a wolf pack ended up at the base and was aggroing, trying to charge through the walls and the same gaps you get between some fences, but it did keep them all out. -
Long queues since game hit game pass on Xbox
JoeyB123 replied to Sgt 45 bravo 246br's topic in General Discussion
Yeah just posted on the new members bit, it's awful. This game cannot cope with being on Game Pass. They were never going to double the servers say, but that's what was needed. My usual server is Low-Med pop, 35 players max and usually much less. Now it's queue of 40 to get in, bugs/glitches/desync are worse, lots of stuff I cant get from my storage. Couldn't turn on a gas cylinder only off etc, but can't log in/out as you're queuing again. I heard the worst servers had queues to almost 200, taking an hour to get on. This will backfire massively as it makes the devs look totally incompetent (if there wasn't enough of that already), I'm hoping most will give up out of sheer frustration and it dies down in a week. -
Nah the game is on Xbox live Game Pass now, so free to play for however long it's on there. Too be honest although I like it a bit busier this is too much, the server I often play on is Low-Med most of the time, probably 35 players max, usually more like 15-25. Now we're in a queue of 40 players just to get on and I'm finding bugs, desync etc are worse. You can't just log in and out though as you're back of the queue. I've heard some servers had queues near 200 to get on which was over an hour. They cannot cope with these numbers, this game shouldn't have gone on Game Pass really, or official servers should have been doubled beforehand (which wasn't going to happen). Hopefully though it'll blow over in a week or so.

Yeah High-Rise always have absolutely no or very poor (basic clothing) loot in my experience of exploring many of them. For a fresh spawn focusing on food/water and other useful starting items, I'd personally say the same of any large factories near the coast, check the ground floor if you want but don't waste much time climbing ladders to high floors etc. Inland is a bit different I've found slightly better loot still not amazing obviously.

Nice one guys. Alright got a draw distance query. So if I use binoculars or certain scopes, the grass in the distance isn't rendered in and bushes are a bit so-so. Does that mean if a player was that far away hiding, laying down in the grass or in a ghillie etc they'd just be obvious? Or does it not draw players in either at that distance? Final thing for now just want to confirm. For Wooden Crates, barrels, sea chests. Do they only persist for 45 days if buried? Is it less but still a while on the surface? I assume it's a while with wooden crates on the surface as I've come across what look like a few stashes now, but just wanted to know.

Wow thanks for the answers on those points guys that's great. I think with the vegetables question I'll just have to experiment but yeah meat does fill you a lot more. I have another question before I get into any potential pvp situations, as a mate of mine and his brother are playing with me and he's more keen on the military bases. If I have a gun with a full mag lets say a SG5-K, and I have another full mag in my inventory, when I empty the mag can I shortcut some way to re-load by changing mags, does the game offer this automatically, or would you need to pause to remove your mag and combine the other one mid-combat?
