Boot up the game. No sign of any real tutorial. Ok. Press play game. Lots of random servers with bits of info with no explanation. Ok click a random one with medium players. Game 1 Game loads up & blackness. Nothing but blackness & the sound of the sea on a beach. Games so dark I'm not sure if it's bugged or what. After a few minutes I quit & pick another random server. (Worst start to any game I can remember). Game 2 I spawn into day time. I can actually see things now. Go for a wonder start looting a few things randomly not knowing what I'm really doing. Bump into random zombie which attacks me & due to any real explanation I run away only be chased down by several zombies & eventually run out of hydration & I'm zombie food. (Later found out you can attack the zombies back with your fists & loot some of them, no thanks to the game devs). Game 3 Darkness again. Only this time after less than 30 seconds I am shot & spawn killed. Kinda did me a favour as I didn't want to play in darkness as a noob. Game 4 This one lasts for an entire hour before dying for no food/water. (Every building for my entire game has been looted except for jackets, rags & guns with no ammo). Game 5 Same as the last one pretty much. Only this time a lot more trying to get my head around the inventory system (and failing). Game 6 After watching a few YouTube guides due to the lack explanation. I finally find a decent backpack, mele weapon, some water & some fruit. Feel like im getting somewhere with this for the first time. I continue down a path making sure never to sprint, avoiding all zombies because I don't want to risk my health being affected & carrying barely anything because I didn't want any unnecessary weight. After jogging for ages & ages to my total shock I get to the END OF THE LEVEL where nothing is generated or rendered. No trees, no grass just emptiness! Wow, such shockingly bad quality for a full priced game. So I turn & head in a different direction looking for any kind of path or anything. Jogging for ages again in a different direction with hunger & thirst becoming a problem I eventually come across ANOTHER END OF THE LEVEL where nothing generates or renders! After about an hour & half of playing I died of thirst/hunger. Game 7 Instead of playing again it felt more constructive to take the time out to sign up to this website & share what an awesome gaming experience I haven't had with dayz. My only question is how do i get my £40 back as I don't fancy running around like a bored headless chicken waiting to die from enivitable thirst or hunger whilst battling against an incomprehensible inventory system. Where is the appeal for me to go back to this game which I've just spent £40? Do I really want to waste more of my life trying to get my head around this half baked game? I was looking for a interesting exploration experience but what I got instead was this...
