During a fight, it often happens that you stand too high or too low at a window or a cover. In the game escape from tarkov it is solved in such a way that you can adjust the crouching height variably via C + scroll wheel. It would be wonderful to have this feature in DayZ as well. Time to do something about all of the hackers
wildzero replied to xXCanmanXx's topic in General Discussion
community servers already do this. if a cheater is found on a server by an admin, his id is shared in a common list and so blocked on all (which participate in this list) community servers. who runs his own server can participate in it -
This confirms my suspicion that the developers of BI, who are responsible for the network part, lack the basic understanding of TCP/IP. The same drama is currently seen in Arma Reforger. Where the majority of players are constantly kicked out of the multiplayer sessions. The only reaction for years on the part of BI is to fiddle while Rome burns, instead of hiring a developer who understands the absolute basics of TCP/IP.

Binoculars take up too many inventory slots.
wildzero replied to BERAKAS's topic in General Discussion
If you compare the size e.g. with a PU scope which is 1x2 large, then 2x2 would make absolute sense for the binoculars. so as large as two PU scopes side by side. So Bohemia, please make this small change to make the game a little bit better 👍 -
Haha yes, DayZ 1.15 in late 2021:

Location change when switching servers
wildzero replied to General Zod's topic in General Discussion
Ok, so the attacker then just wait two days to teleport into a base? You should realize that without a general change of location, there is no solution to the "teleport into a base" problem. -
Location change when switching servers
wildzero replied to General Zod's topic in General Discussion
There is an important and good reason for the location change: without it you can simply teleport into a base by logging out at the location on another server where the base is on the other server. -
+1 from me. I only boot windows to play DayZ and other BattlEye games (like Escape from Tarkov) And if possible i already play games with steam on linux. a good example is Project Zomboid, which runs great on linux.

This looks and feels ugly, cheap and comic-like. Fits Fortnite than hardcore survival game. And many others also do not like at all (see reddit comments) If you want to insert this against the will of the regular players. then make it at least deactivatable for 1PP server

Haha. They try to solve problems in DayZ since 2013... Maybe with DayZ 2 in 2028

Unfortunately, it is a well-known fact that the dayz server software is hardly multi-threaded. Therefore, the single core performance is relevant to the decision for a server cpu to run dayz servers. A CPU overview of the singel core performance: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html Every CPU with a Single Thread Rating >3000 should be good to run a smooth server. provided you don't have a mod that causes problems.

i know, i know, the discussion for or against community servers has already been held a thousand times. but just because of cheaters i only play on community servers which then also use the build anywhere mod. playing on official servers is a waste of time. a little self-promotion: i currently play on dayzcore. one of the servers that really deserves the title "hardcore". so if you're really looking for a challenge, this is the place to be.

you have answered your own question in the headline.

then you create a realistic table instead of calling bullshit. i'm waiting. or is calling bullshit than creating something yourself too much for you?

Please have a look at the adjusted damage values from the DayZ IntenZ server. They have done just that and set perfectly balanced and lifelike values in my opinion:
