Take your time as long as many bugs are sorted out. Debug forest/plains, disappearing items from tents, disappearing vehicles, the unconscious-after-joining-a-server-without-shock bug, zombs walking/attacking through walls and so forth. Etc and so forth. Seems like a great patch!

I have the same bug.

I have had this a couple of times. It fixes itself (for me) if I die. It has also disappeared by itself for no apparent reason. Try getting a friend to epi-pen you, might fix it.

Death. Death fixed the same for me.

Me and my pal was playing on EU110 when I heard gunshots. We ran off towards the source when we saw a Offroad-truck. The truck was then driven through the town Zelenogorsk towards the Fuel pumps. We equipped our sniper rifles and observed patiently. They then stopped at the fuel pumps and we saw one of them beside the vehicle. We went ahead and opened fire. The person was hit and killed. One of them then drove off across the field while we were busy shooting at it. It stopped, and the player got out, hiding behind the car out of our vision. We moved and the server crashed. It crashed, because the admin "Oatemeal" wanted it to be so. This did nothing, however. And we continued on a few minutes later. The player "Oatemeal" then died due to injuries/zombies. The last player was shot down (3 in total) and we triumphed victoriously. We went ahead to the vehicle, repaired it, looted the person lying next to it. I saved the vehicle, and journeyed to the fuel pumps to find the body. My pal, at the same time, drove the truck into the forest for protection. I could find no body, and we met up and drove off due north. During this time we heard "Oatemeal" talk over voice chat a multiple times talking about "you have nice guns" and making odd, orgasmic and sad noises over all. After a couple of minutes the server crashed and I could see on the player list how every player except for Oatemeal were disconnected. We logged in and found the car missing. We went back and were incapable of finding it anywhere. Conclusion: Admin "oatemeal" (We know for a fact that it was oatemeal and that he is an admin) crashed server in order to survive. He then crashed the server later on and the vehicle, a.k.a our prize had magically disappeared. Happened @ about 02:00 GMT+1(Sweden). His two friends were named "Frodey" and "hachetharriet" (or something like). I have zero photographical evidence of any kind, so... I dont know. Watch out for those sad f**ks. Just had to vent, even though it will most likely do no good. ^^

I already said in my original post that I had no evidence. Just wanted people to be a little suspicious if meeting him. Or if someone else had a similar experience with that particular admin, they could share it.

It was after the servers were down. And I can tell for a fact that perfect server crash timing is very, very unlikely. Twice. We were out looking for a vehicle when we heard the gunshots and saw the vehicle thereafter. The story is a little more complex than I told it. This whole thing with the shooting happened across a few minutes. And it's very much true. As I said, I have no evidence. Just saying, watch out for that admin. Crashing the server twice (whereas one of the times he was the only one on the server) is very unlikely. EU110 crashes quite a lot, but never twice in such a perfect situation. And since the admin was involved... I must believe it was him who was fiddeling.

Me and my partner are at Stary, looting the supermarket. As we make our way out, we attract a Zed which we then shoots. This attracts a multiple more, of course and soon we find ourselves completely overwhelmed by Zeds as we run back into the supermarket to take cover. After we have cleared all zombies we get sniped by someone outdoors. Pissed as shit after having lost all my sweet, sweet loot I decide to head back and attempt to reclaim some of the stuff that our superior couldn't carry. As I run I spot another player running over a field. I run down the steep hill, flanking and try to get behind him. He then runs up a hill and disappears out of sight. I follow him up only to find him lying in a bush, waiting for me. I sprint right and hide behind a tree, taking a hit in at the same time. I continue around the tree and unload my Makarov into his body. "Sweet!" I thought for myself. When I approach his body for the looting, I spot another person, most likely his friend standing in the corner of my eye, 5 metres away aiming at me from a crouched position. Both of us open fire. I stand the survivor. Just having killed 2 people armed with M1014 and Mp5SD against me, armed with a Makarov. 2 V.s. 1 whilst they had the tactical advantage. ONE of the most happy moments in this game as of yet.

I'm gonna add another fun story: Me + 2 friends run around north-east of Stary. We find a UAZ (Without wheels). 3 minutes later we come across a crashed heli. We loot the m249, M24 etc etc. We continue towards Stary military tents. Friend with M249 sucks at sneaking, attracts every zombie in the whole city. I tell them over Skype that I'm heading into tents. Later tell them about my findings. I attempt to leave the tent, gets one-shot by M249-"friend". My two friends then camp my body while I run from spawn. 5 minutes later they are sniped off by unknown player. This occurs in the middle of the night and they are off to bed after dying. I, however, refuse to give up and continue to Stary where I find our bodies. I loot a AK-74 Kobra, M16, Alice pack, binos + tools etc etc. The server then rolls me back to Bor and I log out on a road with 900 blood left. I log in the following day, aggroes a zombie (This was during the shitty-zombie-sight/hear-detect shit) So they saw me from a mile away. I attempt to press ESC and abort. As I press ESC I get a message saying "receiving...". I then dies 4 seconds later. I run from spawn back to Bor. When I am about 1 minute away from my body, the server crashes. As I log into it again once it is up, my body is gone.

With this post you pretty much said: "Add more things and make the game better". See? I did what you did with fewer words. Try going into more detail next time. "The ability to transfer vehicles and tents to other servers probably not possible though." - No. This would completely destroy servers. Clans would just bring 20 helis over to one server and just wreak havoc. "If you have a broken leg and no morphine the ability to combine wood and bandages to fix your leg or so you can atleast walk but at a slower speed." - There is a thread about this. "The ability to modify cars add more protection like armour and things." - This is not really pimp my ride, but small mods, why not? "Secrets and easter eggs " - Agreed.

Is the game not set in Russia? Who said anything about americans?

If possible to implement, then yes. Good idea.

Crawling around in Stary and I tab down to check something (Map, I think). As I tab up, I turn right to see a guy lying in the grass about 10 meters away from me, aiming directly at me. I look at him, he looks at me. I look around, switches to my sidearm and just blows his brains out with one shot. Just as I fired my gun. He typed in chat "Friendly". This made me feel super-bad because he could've killed me as I was tabbed etc. (If he even saw me to begin with, that is.) His name was Jam1e or something. Sorry!

I think that they should add 3 other regions. These regions would only he accessable through flying or by driving a boat. Maybe a desert region, a more exotic island-region, a jungle region and something else. This would surely not fit in with the existing region as it is in Russia and it would make zero sense. But more various regions would be awesome.

IR needs nerf, I think. Someone with long-range rifle and IR means that someone without IR is chanceless. These weapons, however, are not OP. Hard to come by, rare ammunition, hard to hit with, semi-auto etc. They are fine, I think.

Pretty good, actually. As long as you can do everything with any class (repairing vehicles etc etc bla bla), why not?

Server hoppers cry more. Pick a server and play on it. And thanks for calling me unemployed but I'm a full time student with 2 jobs and 4.0 GPA. If possible' date=' make it so that you need to have spawned on the server before the timeout will take effect. Agreed. Weapons like DMR have ammo dropped/spawned everywhere. The particular weapon is not THAT common, but the ammo is. Need way more ammo for those + more.

Just as everybody else have said: This is not a traditional RPG. These ideas would completely ruin the game.

DayZ would be incredibly boring without the tension of being killed by other players. PvP is incredibly awesome. Why would people be punished for it? Kill or be killed. Survival of the fittest.

Agree completely. Also I think that it should be impossible to logged out with the "Shock" status effect (Received by getting shot at by player).
