    Human Ai Camps

Hello Bohemia Interactive, And anyone else taking the time to read my post:) So i used the search function to try and see if there was already a topic under AI or Npc but I got 0 search results on either, which I found odd so apologies if I didnt search right, anyway.. A feature I would really love to see is a release, (even if it's just in the game files so that modders can access it and not in vanilla content), is a version of the AI which acts as a human survivor. And or groups of human survivors. Im aware this could sound unrealistic so what I'd like to do is share my vision of how this content could look and work and what it could add to the game. Then I'd like to give a few ideas of what you could maybe do to take some some shortcuts, nothing you wouldn't be able to figure out yourself's I'm sure 🙂 but I think it could be relatively easy to implement into the game, at various different levels of functionality. Okay so! 🙂 Human Survivor AI Complete Concept The Idea would be to have it so that as well as the zombie spawns, even once in a while, you could find a human survivor. These survivors would have different stories and the player would have to analyse each of the survivors upon discovery, and decide an appropriate course of action. The survivors would have a Camp, within which they could be discovered. The camp would work in much the same way that the loot and zombie spawns work around a police station, however the objects spawned, and location of the camp would be dependant upon the type of survivor you discovered. And instead of zombies roaming the area, the humans do. Survivors could be alone, or there could be multiple surviving together. Survivors or groups could be neutral, or hostile. Survivors or groups could be extended to have functionality with the Survivor Missions, and Trader mods, to allow groups to trade, and offer missions, or be targeted in missions. One reason I think this would appeal to players is because it could give the player a legitimate Lore reason to find multiple campsite items in the same area, which they can loot and relocate or even just take over. If they're willing to fight for it! If you made them aggressive to zombies, and the zombies aggressive to the ai, the immersion in the game would be greatly increased!! Imagine hearing the ratatat of gun submarine guns, and investigating to find a bandit group holed up, securing their perimeter from wandering undead. Stacks of tined tuna glisten in the campfire light.... EXAMPLES OF SURVIVORS lone survivor you would probably find one of these in a house, in a town or a village. They would be armed with a knife, or a bat, and have a small supply of canned food, rags, cooking equipment and batteries so on. Hunter Your hunting enthusiast. Complete with a low caliber sport or hunting rifle like a .22, hunter equipment. Camps in the woods featuring tent, cooking tripod, pots, maybe some raw meat? Hatchets, compasses, general hunter equipment. Scavengers Scavegeres could be groups of people,3-7 strong, similar to lone survivors, but with clothing that features mild protection like stab proof vests, skate helmets, they would be armed with spiked bats, pipes, machetes, knives, and a low caliber hunting rifle. Although they have lower fire power, the risk of getting swarmed unless you have an automatic weapon would be very real, and there weapons will hurt you much faster then zombies. They would have the equipment balanced to the group size. LOOTERS Looters would be like scavengers but better armed, better base. Maybe better base locations. Military groups Military groups could be small pockets of military survivors, I think these would be best placed in urban military zones so they could cause more noise and distraction with the zombies. implimentation Now I'm no expert, but if you were to make it so that where we have for example zmbf_maleclerk there was an option for Svr_lone survivor, with the same file format so attachments for clothes, and equipment, spawn points declared the same way as zombies, you could replace zombie animations with the player animations for walking, and have the survivor triggered in the same way the zombies are, maybe with better "sight" , before engaging.. I feel like a lot fo the work in terms on animation and models, loot, almost everything is already actually implemented into the game, apart from the functionality of the roaming and interactions of the PCs survivors, and they're combat interactions. But I feel this could be opened up to the modders with a little support and they would gladly gladly seize the opportunity.. I'm writing this on my phone so I'll probably update it at some point hut for now I'm giving my thumbs a rest:) thanks for reading
