yea its UVB 76 which is a old Russian numbers station installation from the cold War era. there's videos of it on YouTube in real life. I'm just happy we are going to be getting some more lore for chernarus and livonia because it shows both livonia and chernarus maps with these new locations or whatever they are and you have to tune in a radio to hear the morse code or the message that UVB emits. it's gonna be great, and you know why?..... because sumrak has worked on it 😁 and look what he did with namalsk. 😁 really looking forward to this update.

when having a light shined at you with nvgs on its blinding anyway so that's not a problem really. try it out and you will see what I mean, construction lights too are fantastic to strategically place around your base and blind the shit out of players wearing nvgs.

I play on ps4 and you don't speak for me or anyone else that loves this game on console. I don't struggle at all on console day z so all I can say to you is get better at the game.... seriously, I play solo too and my character hasn't died once since 1.13 dropped. you must not have mastered the game yet... simple as that.

I've had a couple of issues with disinfecting rags on ps4. If I have some already disinfected rags and I cut up some pants to combine them into a full stack of 6 the disinfected state disappears which is fine, however when I try disinfect the rags after stacking them it doesn't give me the prompt to do so. only happened to me a couple of times but just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. thx 👍

drove a gunter round the edge of topolin last night, not a single game freeze 🤷‍♂️ the server was medium too, almost high pop. loving this new update.

I have noticed marked improvement playing dayz on my ps4 slim, I've ran around topolin and yes I've experienced sound popping and lag here and there also a few rendering issues but it's nowhere near as bad as before 1.13, could this be a result of duping being fixed? meaning no massive silly bases dotted around with 50 LARS and VSDS stashed inside with duped tents and such. I even drove a gunter from zalesie last night, around the edge of topolin and didn't get a single game freeze and that was on a medium pop server. definitely plays better for me.

100% mate im.loving the new infected changes. a real challenge now for all who play this game.

zombies are easier to kill around player spawn areas, the zombies get harder the further you go inland and that's how it should be. get a splitting axe or fire axe and you can easily defeat 2 at a time. the blocking system is now better than ever, I can easily kill 2 to 3 zombies at a time whilst blocking and timing my hits. it's really not as hard as you are making out.

kuru is in the game yes, with the mad laughing and also you get the shakes when aiming down sights. it's been this way since the game came out I believe.

I can confirm that the ps4 gunshot audio is working fine.

the original post says so as well. I've also seen some people on the day z twitter thread claiming its fixed too. I was sceptical but I've had some great loot runs and been finding plenty of top tier weapons. I know it's still early days for 1.13 but I've killed a decent amount of players that happened to be inland on both chernarus and livonia and I haven't seen the tell tale signs of duped kits like loads of mags on a player and tonnes of ammo or backpacks full of grenades. this is on console by the way.

it's really not as bad as everyone makes out on console really, if you have next gen then it's brilliant. I play ps4 at the moment and still it's definitely playable on there. cars become unstable when it's full pop servers but the official server I play on it's mostly medium and get high pop now and then. when it's high pop I just remember to not drive my ada 4x4 or gunter until the server is either medium or low. it's honestly very playable on console from my experiences on it, sure I get the bugs like everyone else does and the frame drops in big cities like topolin and cherno but other than that I have a great time on this game. its the only game I have like it, there is nothing else out there that gets me gripped like dayz especially when you have a plan on this game. it's great and I'm looking forward to 1.13 come mid July. 😀

man I'd pay good money for namalsk on console, doesn't sumrak now work with the day z dev team? would it be possible for him to give BI the rights to port the namalsk map to console. that'd be brilliant, I really want to explore those facilities and bunkers. I guess I can only dream 😣

yea man I completely agree. like the body pits at radunin medical tents. I'd love to know a bit more about that area and just other places in general. I think chernarus would suit a subterranean system better than livonia.

I agree yea, I'd love more interactions like this in day z. I'd love a couple of underground facilities added on chernarus and livonia too with some story behind them like what they were used for.

I know I'm a console player so I probably don't count in this thread lol but I'm gonna do it anyways. I play on ps4 at the moment until I upgrade to ps5. my TV is a 65 inch Panasonic 4k TV and I go to settings then to picture and set it to the normal preset so I can then mess with the brightness, contrast, colour etc etc. bare in mind this TV of mine is pretty new lol so the other day I noticed an option for advanced settings and I had all these vivid HD settings to play with and I've configured it now so that I can see sooooooo far into the distance and the fog that you speak of is literally none existent lol I mean I can see players now for miles and miles it's really great to be able to cancel out that limited view fog crap, I just wish the grass rendered in from a great distance because now I do feel like a bit of a cheat but that's not my fault that's just the ps4s capacity at rendering the vegetation on day z. ahhh well rant over.

have they really disabled loot spawning in the little green watchtowers around military bases???? damn I used to love just going round NWAF perimeter looking in all the towers and finding loads of nvgs. 😐

never had this happen on ps4 mate, I've had the same few tents for months now. sounds like they messed with the spawn timers for tents. 🤷‍♂️

dude there isn't combat advantage cheats on consoles you just got picked off by a player simple as that. we're you stood near a window just showing part of your head? if so then yea you got took out by a well placed shot. there are no cheats available for console like what you are describing, all that stuff exists on pc only. the only EXPLOITS that you can get mad with on console is duping and playing 3rd person servers because on 3rd person servers you just have to stand behind a wall or corner and get the drop on someone by angling the camera to see while you remain invisible. I only play 1st person servers because pvp is 100% fair, it all boils down to skill on 1st person servers. you got domed by a lucky shot which happens and has probably happened to most of us on console. start again man like we all have to do at some point.
