hello fellow day z enthusiasts. I would like answers to my enquiry please. WHEN TF IS THE NEW UPDATE COMING? I and many others feel we have waited long enough.

get used to it, this coronavirus is the perfect excuse for the devs to abandon us indefinitely. failing that then I bet they dont release a total of 5 updates this year and they will play the covid-19 card.

I advise you hunt animals and collect a few lumps of fat from them, cook the fat and store it in your jacket if possible, even 1 lump in the jacket will warm your character and stop your hunger dropping fast. I would also say don't sprint everywhere if you are, eat about a quarter of 1 lump of fat and it will put your food up to full for hours. as for drink well that's all you will need to keep a track on, get a military water canteen and then your good and also get chlorine tabs so you can fill up from any water source with your bottle and purify it. hope that's helps you.

you could try server A2 I've been on this server for a few days now and it seems pretty good, it is a vanilla experience, high tier weaponry will spawn a little more often but that is way inland, I found a tundra in a hunting shed in the middle of the woods and was very pleased by that. the server I'm on spawns more food and drink on the beaches where you start off so as to give you a better chance at surviving as a fresh spawn. cars are a little harder to come by too, especially parts. its chernarus map too, it's pretty awesome.

I like the idea, I think bunkers should have been a part of dayz from the beginning seeing as though there is military bases throughout the maps of chernarus and livonia.

I think that's a great idea, it would also give other players that have strained and strained to get good weapons a chance to actually get them. the reason why m4s and akms and LARS aren't able to be found is because people who duped before duping was fixed have hoarded them all and now they hardly spawn where they should.

I forgot to mention that when you store items in a crate, barrel or sea chest then you should find a shovel to bury the loot in storage so other players can't see it so easily. you will be able to tell where your loot is as long as you bury it in a memorable location, the colour of the ground will also turn to a greyish patch so you can actually see where you have buried it. I'd advise burying any loot stashes in patches of green long grass as this makes it even harder for other players to stumble upon.

ok yea if you just drop loot you cant carry onto the bare ground then it will despawn over time, it will also despawn on a server restart. it can also be the case that other player(s) found it but like you said you highly doubt this. the only way to keep your loot safe is to craft wooden crates by cutting a tree to get logs and using a saw to cut those logs into planks then getting nails and combining them with planks to craft a wooden crate. you can also find barrels and sea chests in the world to store equipment in so it doesn't despawn, also tents store loot or cars. you can't just drop loot on the ground and go offline for hours and then log back on and expect the loot to be there, the day z loot system is pretty efficient, after looting let's say a military camp, if you leave the area and go to another town and loot the town for maybe 15 to 20 minutes then return to the military camp then all the loot in the camp will have returned. remember craft crates to securely store your loot and cancel out the risk of your loot despawning.

sure I'd be glad to help, what's your psn? you won't have to run around dying trying to meet me I'll come to you. wherever you spawn just get to some town and loot a bit to find a little food and find where the water pump is, just until I get there. also how old are you.

the best option for you to actually believe me is join me on ps4 so I can prove how easy it is for you to find food and drink. I'll run you round to prove to you that cans of peaches, beans, spaghetti, sardines are easy to come by in houses and green houses. also dead zombies carry food sometimes, water is accessible from most any town at a well and to be more efficient in hydration search hunting lodges for packs of chlorine tablets then you can fill any water bottle from any water source and purify it.

I've no idea why I keep seeing people commenting on the difficulty of finding food. even when I was new to the game finding food wasn't a problem or drink, the thing that did slightly affect me was finding something to open cans of food with, always use a knife of even.better a can opener lol. never use like an axe or crowbar because it will knock off a decent chuck of the food counter.

ok man so when you find a water bottle and it already has water in it then that water will be infected with bacteria 90% of the time so you have to empty out the water and then disinfect the water bottle by either using alcoholic tincture or disinfectant spray. both of these can be found quite easily in smaller houses throughout the game, and the illnesses on dayz are not that hard to overcome dude. when it rains and you get cold you will develop a virus and your character will cough and sneeze quite a lot but it doesn't really have an effect on your status I think it just gives your position away to other players that hear it, to prevent getting the cold/flu in game then make sure to periodically take multi vitamin tablets especially when it rains so you can endure the weather without getting ill so quick. also if you do get sick from being drenched then make sure to take shelter a house etc and dry off and also have tetracycline pills (antibiotics) to remove the illness. take into account that when you skin an animal for its meet you will get bloody hands so make sure to wash them as soon as you can and certainly before consuming food items, another good tip is to just wear gloves and your hands dont get bloody at all so you wont get sick from eating a can of food afterwards. if you do get sickness from eating with bloody hands then make sure to have charcoal tablets on you as this will help you to stop throwing up, I've also heard that codeine help too. so remember when you find a water bottle in the world, even if it's full or empty you should always disinfect the bottle because it can still hold bacteria in the container whether it's full or not.

livonia official server, 2116. all I have found new so far is .357 rounds but no new guns at all and I've searched far and wide on the map. is there certain places I should be looking?

yes I agree man, they seem to be putting more time into this vigor game. I've played it when it came out on game preview and I can honestly say that it is shit, it's no fun whatsoever and I cant see much of a point to it. you get dropped into a zone and find a loot crate before everyone else and then have to escape with it without being killed or try kill the player with the crate. day z is way better even though it's a mess of a game. I'm not having tonnes of issues on the ps4 version of dayz. although last night when me and my friend were online I opened our base gate and I ran through and got a bleeding of x7 for some reason and I kept making the noise as if I'm taking damage even though I was far from the barbed wire gate, it killed me but luckily my friend was able to bandage himself and get my loot into crates so all wasn't lost. this isn't the point though, shit like this shouldn't be happening on the game now.

the only new thing I've found in regards to the news items are the .357 bullets for the magnum but I haven't found anything else. I'm on ps4 by the way .

if people are having the mic symbol pop up when you navigate down with the d pad in your inventory, just use the analog instead and the L1 L2 and R1 R2 buttons then the icon will not pop up. easy solved.
