Well are you talking ACTUAL HOURS or game days? I think if you actually took the hours played it wouldn't be as many days as people are saying. I would say I can go about 20 Hours on average. I played last night for 12H and I still have the same character. It all comes down to player population and risk/reward tactics. If the player population is almost full, is it worth going to Stary solo and almost guaranteed to run into a player or maybe a group? On top of all those zombies. NO. If that server is 15/40 then yeah I'd risk it. If you find yourself on high pop servers, try to scavenge in smaller towns. Or barns. Don't expect to go to Stary, Cherno, Elektro, NWAF and live. Go to smaller cities on the West and East coast and try to get items there. Just because it isn't a large city, doesn't mean it doesn't have amazing gear.

I will show you ways to approach dangerous areas, and how to sneak properly to loot buildings. Also, things to look for when you're entering a city or an area where players may be. I use Fraps to record my videos. A 30min video usually eats up 60-80G on my hard drive in 1080P. I then use Windows Movie Maker. It's so damn easy to use. I installed a codec for 1080P video editing. I select all the files, then I place then in the timeline. Set destination and select 1080P. It takes about 30mins to complete. Then I go on YT and it takes about 50mins to be added. I record on Medium graphics setting. I can play on very high, but I can't record 1080P or it will take my FPS and turn it into under 10FPS. On medium I get about 25-30FPS which is fine. The difference between Medium and High graphics isn't that important. No one watches the content to see how detailed things are. Check out my channel and you'll see it runs great.

Ep 3 part 1 finished. Part 2 processing. Part 4 done editing and being converted to YT then being processed. Hope me going into Zelen undetected helps you new players.

I'll be getting home at 8AM EST. Jumping on my PC and doing what I can get get content up ASAP. Ep 3 is me traveling to Zelen and sneaking through town undetected. Ep 4 is me going to Stary and engaging another player.

Honestly the first video was just a fun intro. I have 2 more video's I am trying to make, but my editing software isn't working... Ep 2+ should be more helpful I promise guys. For some reason I was able to edit both episodes without an issue, now I am having issues. Working on getting a new editing program and then reuploading. Be patient I promise new videos with less than top tier equipment is coming, and info with how to approach situations will be on my channel. If it wasn't for the editing issues and me working a lot today I would have already solved the issue and had new content up. Again, sorry but it is coming.

Hey guys, just going to start a Day Z YouTube channel. There aren't many channels on YT so I thought I'd use my fraps and start recording some gameplay. I have a few videos finished editing, and I am currently uploading 3 videos to YT now. First one is just an Intro/Me Dying in Cherno lol. The second and third videos are of today with a group member looting and surviving. I run usually with 2-5 other people, so there usually is something exciting going on. Plus the team aspect isn't shown on YT videos most of the time. Hopefully my channel can encourage people to group up. The only reason I KoS, is because every single person I have ever tried to talk to in DC has lied and murdered me. I have tried to team up with randoms the first 2 weeks and died trying every time. I don't KoS if the guy is say far away, but if he is a direct threat, he's dead to me.

Making the game harder will increase the murder chance... If I have NO food and I see you, why wouldn't I kill you in hopes that you had some? Your argument doesn't make sense, if you made the game harder then people will 100% murder on sight. If this was a real world scenario and you saw another person with food and a gun. You would murder him for his gun and food without question. The odds of another human being "nice" and giving up a precious resource is almost non existent. Countries go to war over resources right now and we aren't even in a tight spot. What do you think would happen if food and water were almost impossible to find? If Day Z was harder and food, water, ammo, etc were even less common. I would probably abandon my group I'm with and kill everything I needed to, to live. Harder = More Murders...plain and simple.

I am looking to join 1 or more people to group up and play Day Z. I have a headset with a mic, so communication is no problem. I am the silent type of player who only fires his weapon when forced to. I have made it to NWAF solo, but finding it difficult to sustain life due to glitches in the game. Zombies attacked me through the wall of a building, sitting at about 3K health lol. I have no problem starting over with someone, even though I have an AK, Mak, Alice pack, bino, hunting knife, flashlight, hatchet, 3 canteens and soda's as well. Along with other stuff that isn't as useful. I am just sort of pissed that I made it to the airfield only to pretty much be screwed with no food and almost no health left. That's why I'm looking to group up and have some fun Smile!

I have been playing Day Z for about 2 weeks now, I loved when I first started because I could jump on SC or GC and ask the veteran players for help to any questions I needed. If I was bored, I could message people and see what everyone was doing and it made Day Z more enjoyable because I got to see how every other players adventures were going and could possibly meet up with people for help or to group up. Now with no GC or SC I feel completely alone in game, I understand that it's sort of the point of Day Z (survive all alone). However, it also makes the game a bit more boring until I run into someone else or get chased by Zeds. Can we please bring back SC/GC? It really made the gameplay experience MUCH more enjoyable for me and other players that I spoke to.

I have been crawling around towns forever, but with zombies spawning inside buildings, it seems pointless to crawl. I ran into a large town with an AK and 3 mags and just grabbed as many zombies as I could. I ran into a worn down building with 2 entrances and just waited for them to single file. One by one I killed them, until I got cocky and tried to kill a juker outside the building. I feel like if you have a HG/AR and a good amount of ammo, why not just RUN/Crouch into town and find the building with the entrance. Then watch them come single file and kill them until the town is empty. Then you walk out and collect all the loot. Do people do this?

I had Binos, I waited and waited and snuck into town. I get to the place where I need to loot (by looking at the online map), and there are zombies inside... I have 1 HG bullet left, and I feel like running away is just a waste of time. So I said F*** it and went Rambo lol.
