Hello to all, We have designed a new Dayz experience based on game concepts such as survival to which we have added roleplay (classic) and automated mechanisms with an engine developed for the occasion allowing to design for the first time on the game a cooperative escape game in total immersion. Here is the trailer of our first scenario that we translated into English for the occasion

Experimental Update 1.18 (Change Log)
mathieu mauron replied to lynn.zaw's topic in PC Experimental Updates
anyway playing dayz on an official server doesn't make sense...you can't exploit all the possibilities of the game, so you spend your time collecting stuff, making monstrously gross bases and shooting.... for the rest the additions are clearly made for a part of the community that does not exploit the possibilities of the game and whose only pleasure is pan pan boom boom.... fortunately on the private servers we will be able to remove what needs to be removed and we will wait for the judicious updates that will allow to renew the game experience. ( dyeing, crafting clothes, cooking, bow/crossbow, motorbike, bike, horses, pet, henhouse with chickens that lay eggs, zombie skin cutting to blend in the hordes, more different and coloured clothes, troop transport truck, bus, ....... real character design) in short everything that differentiates dayz from others games -

Experimental Update 1.18 (Change Log)
mathieu mauron replied to lynn.zaw's topic in PC Experimental Updates
after that if players complain that there aren't enough weapons we won't be able to do anything for them.... let's hope that the next updates will bring something new....weapons are fine for 5 minutes.... we still can't cook rice though.... -

is there a way to delete/remove craftable item on server ?
mathieu mauron replied to mathieu mauron's topic in General Discussion
I need to block some craft temporarily or permanently. I have a server where we have a particular operation and ghillie suit are forbidden so currently we have to remove the burlap bags or the mesh to block the craft...and removing the burlap bags or the mesh blocks crafts that are interesting. There is a "crafted" property in the type but it is not taken into account and it would be useful if not necessary that the cfggameplay.json integrates this kind of notions or that the type can block crafts via the "crafted" property -

Last time I sent you the link concerning the launch of Season 8 of the Alexandria RP server in October 2021. The new season, "Season 9 Contamination", starts in January 2022. And thanks to the latest updates we were able to make a 60FPS trailer for the first time... -

Thank you very much for the spotlight, it's like a disintction after 2 years of running the server and on the night of our season 8 launch. Thank you for everything. From the Alexandria staff -

It would indeed be interesting to have the radio in the cars, but it would not impact the way players play except in roleplay of course .... Unfortunately, the majority of players are pvp players...and it is therefore logical that the roadmap favors pvp players, even if since 2020 the updates do not have to satisfy them unlike roleplay players. + It is also obvious that bohemia has axes of improvement of the game and it is unlikely that this feature is in their priorities ... The manufacture of clothes in animal skin, the dyeing of clothes, the cooking, are certainly higher in the list, I hope at least ....

ok, thanks! We will have a new trailer on the youtube channel coming on September 15th for season 8 (I can't give too much information because we keep a lot of things secret from our players). But I'm always available to provide information about how we work, whether it's community management or even roleplay and our philosophy.

in the article it is written : How to promote your roleplay server! DayZ has always been about crafting our own stories and nobody understands this better than our roleplaying community. Here is a great teaser for a fantastic project named Descend, initiated by @frickin_red. Kudos and best of luck! So, how to be promoted like this project? Does the studio bohemia have a quality/promotion label for roleplay servers that show creativity, quality and stability? Our roleplay server Alexandria is very interested in this kind of initiative!!! The problem is the community.... Already on console, players should be happy to have a game like this. Then the PVP players are a cancer for the evolution of the game because they only use 3% of what the game offers but represents too large a part of the community to not be taken into account.... And then the cars, yes it's boring, but the maps are not that big and good players will tend to use their legs (1 hour to cross Chernarus from south to north) .... The game has to stabilise, that's for sure, but it also has to evolve because if the developers don't add weapons, the players will cry and if they don't add a new vehicle with its new colour the "jacky tuning" will cry.... The roadmap is clearly not detailed and certainly not to make promises in the air. On closer inspection there are some very nice things announced in more or less explicit ways.... (I pray for the configurable radiations...) What is really regrettable is that there is no new map announced, that the spear and the bow is still not in the pipes (at least not officially), the same for cannabis and cigarettes or even animal skin clothing, dyeing clothes and making recipes (by the way that you can't really eat lard without vomit would be the idea of the century because nobody eats that in real life...). And to be able to build on slopes again, because we had some very annoying regressions on the building sites... and even to be able to make different walls! (Less wide, higher,) To be able to make a wardrobe in which to put clothes with objects in it so that you can change clothes without having to waltz around with objects.... In short, the problem is the community, and then sony also breaks the balls by preventing the less stable but more regular updates that would certainly allow developers to improve the console porting and to take into account more easily the players' feedback (when you see what some players say, it could be the death of the game in some ways)... Let's not forget that Dayz is a sandbox, those who want an ultra-stable game with lots of weapons and also lots of weapons or vehicles there are plenty of games for that and somewhere you've got the wrong game.

Another area of focus that’s important for us this year is balancing the damage system. For example, we intend to look at how we can improve melee (mainly against infected), including a more consistent way of landing stealth kills (rewarding players for a stealth approach). We would also like to look into differentiating more individual firearms, as well as increasing the chances of PVP encounters ending in an unconscious state (rather than instant death). => a great choice to turn a simulation game into an arcade game

is it possible to have the roadmap of 2021 before 2022? even if it is not detailed just to know what is waiting for us (hoping for real content and not only weapons)

I'm opening this Topic because the PS5 is coming soon and no official announcement has been made regarding the porting of the game to the PS5 nor the (shitty) server compatibility that Nitrado offers. This is not acceptable, we have the right to know before the release of the console in order to be able to prepare the transition as well as possible. I'm speaking as an administrator of a Roleplay server and the financial investment not to mention the time spent to offer a quality gaming experience to our players in order to build a cool community on the console is already hard, but the arrival of the PS5 without information from Bohemia makes us ask questions that I think (and I'm certainly not the only one) deserve answers: - Will the game be available on PS5? - If it will: * Will we have to buy it back or will the license currently paid for be valid? * Will the Nitrado server be able to handle PS4/PS5 cross-play connections? (silly question, but with Nitrado you can't be sure of anything....) - is it planned one day to be able to have SDKs for Playstation servers ? or failing that, a choice of provider for hosting ? ( the monopoly by Nitrado poses a problem because it is a monopoly... but especially because they are bad, incredibly bad even) Hoping to be heard, I know that I am not the only one asking myself these questions.

Why is console community so bad?
mathieu mauron replied to Ihatelettuce's topic in General Discussion
The spirit of the console community comes from its history, that of the single-player game.
