Yes bring'em back and triple their ammo capacity.

Alright we've heard enough rambling from the "hardcore" "survivalists" so now I'm going to offer my top 5 recommended development priorities for 2020. This list is certainly not exhaustive. 1) Triple guns and ammunition. This would be an easy minor code tweak. 2) Make tanks drive-able. 3) Increase player count to 200 per server. 4) Add rocket launchers and bazookas. 5) Remove hydration and energy depletion (but keep animations to appease role-players) to allow more time spent on the battlefield. I can guarantee if these PvP military mayhem changes are implemented this will be the most hardcore survival experience to date. DayZ is about having fun first and foremost so we need to ditch all the simulation nonsense and make the game-play action up to par with modern standards. Thank you developers for your hard work now let's take DayZ to the next level and realize its authentic vision in 2020.

General direction and bitter thoughts
ATrueDayZFan replied to kacper46's topic in General Discussion
Yes yes yes yes yes. Thank you so much OP for pointing out the painfully obvious truth that the authentic path of DayZ is a PvP-focused, military mayhem! Don't let this handful of unemployed, thought-policing, "hardcore veterans" who lurk these servers all day and all night just to attack anyone who disagrees with their flawed, poorly-thought-out vision of the game dissuade you. Your arguments are well-reasoned and almost impossible to refute (and any refutation would simply result in a minor amendment). I can tell that you, like myself, are a true DayZ fan who actually knows what this game is supposed to be and how it should be played correctly. We came from the old mod days and we are the kind of players that made this game so popular. So with that said, here are the top priorities for the developers going into 2020: 1) Double - scratch that - TRIPLE the amount of guns and ammunition. This means more combat and more fun and harsher survival, the real survival. Not this role-playing, simulation "survival" nonsense that is super easy anyways. 2) Remove hydration and energy requirements. But keep the animations so these bitter role-players can have their fun! But really, we need a streamlined experience. Remove complexity, add more weapons. 3) Make tanks drive-able. They're already in-game, so it wouldn't be hard. Helicopters and planes are fun too as long as they come with machine gun turrets, but tanks would be much more cool. Imagine blowing up these "hardcore" survivalists only for them to quit and complain that survival isn't hard enough on these forums. 4) Implement bazookas. We need more than landmines. I want to see more explosions like in Mad Max. A homing rocket launcher would be nice too, Fallout style. 5) Increase player count to 200 per server. It doesn't matter if the infected are lagging or cars are flying. Because the real threat in DayZ has always been other players. Increase their quantity and you will truly have the most hardcore survival experience in store for you. You will always be struggling to eliminate the next threat because your opponents will always be well-armed and trigger happy. -
Thank you sir a very good argument indeed which contains some fatal flaws. True survival is that which meets the authentic vision of DayZ, which is based on a military combat simulator. Shooting is survival because it is eliminating the threat to your own survival. But let us not forget bandaging. Too much blood loss and you die on the battlefield. So we have to hide behind barriers and patch ourselves before returning gunfire. Let's be real for a second in an authentic apocalypse there would be a plethora of food everywhere and free water by the gallons so it would take next to no time finding it to drink. At this point to streamline the DayZ experience they might as well remove it (but like I said, keep the animations so role-players like yourself can feel like they are going through the motions in real time). The people who want energy and hydration meters are using the exact same logic as the people who want urination and defecation. It makes absolutely no sense to continually shove food and drink down into one's mouth and never have it exit the other side. So obviously this is flawed reasoning.

I'll ignore your troll response for the time being until you have a substantive rebuttal to my actual arguments, thank you. It is time to grow up and display some maturity and the ability to respectfully disagree. Have a good day, sir.

Well DayZ has veered off from its authentic vision so now its time the developers reel it in. I am excited to hear about their PvP oriented roadmap for 2020. Remove hydration and hunger (but keep the eating and drinking animations for role-players) because as William has stated it has just become a nuisance and not true survival. There is one true threat in DayZ and that is other players such as myself who have excellent aim with snipers and always carry automatic rifles with tons of ammo. So double up the guns and ammo and increase the player count. Then DayZ will be dangerous and a true survival game like it should be. Of course the survival will be primarily related to PvP in military zones as this is exactly what an authentic apocalypse would look like. Who on Earth wouldn't get as many guns as possible with all those wretched infected around every corner? I'd carry a few bazookas in my tank if I could. I hope they make the tanks drive-able by the end of 2020 so we can have all-out PvP mayhem. Authenticity matters for DayZ's longevity.

Official Servers Livonia & Chernarus = Same Character???
ATrueDayZFan replied to Badlywrapdkebab's topic in General Discussion
These are all easily refutable points when some basic logic is deployed. 1) Obviously players don't want to lose their progress changing maps and don't deserve to. They worked hard to earn their gear and should take it wherever they please. In the real world you can travel to a new location, so it makes sense that you can travel from Livonia to Chenarus and back. So at the end of the day authenticity wins. 2) Server hoppers will simply hop back and forth between Livonia and Chernarus to farm military loot. Debunked with ease. Wish people on this forum would actually use some critical thinking rather than simply going with the popular opinion to fit in and make the game easier. -
Allow me to provide proper enlightenment. Free will is an illusion. Therefore, the developers had to implement bugs for Christmas because they could not have done otherwise.

Sorry my friend this is not a rational argument because in an authentic apocalypse the few remaining uninfected survivors would grab some supplies and flee to the forests where there aren't any infected. But the infected would follow their scent and movement and hordes would chase them into the forest leaving the cities empty and the forests full of infected. So yeah I know what DayZ is and where it needs to go most of you are blinded by simple misconceptions and believing that realism is authentic when it simply isn't.

Let me first say VecktorS I completely support you in your gaming journey and you are an innocent victim of your circumstances because free will doesn't exist. Whether you cheat again in the future or not is completely out of your control, and entirely comes down to the luck of an interplay between your brain and the environment. I recommend the DayZ developers issue VecktorS an apology for the inconvenience and un-ban him for good. I can already tell he is the type of play that wants the authentic PvP vision that myself and the developers have planned for and will be implemented in 2020.

Says the one engaging in a text battle. I am here to offer my carefully compiled insights about the future of DayZ that will take the game to the next level for the majority of players who deeply desire a stream-lined intense military combat PvP experience. And to uphold the vision of authenticity set out by the developers which most of you seem to have lost touch with, getting lost in your hardcore, survivalist niche views. Most gamers don't have 8 hours a day to waste finding food, water and shooting at infected. We have jobs and spend time making food in real life. We want to get to the action right away when we open DayZ, kill some players with our decked out soldiers, and eat them for fun. Then turn off DayZ and watch Netflix with our girlfriends.

Someone thinks they are a clever detective when the truth is I have no idea what you are on about. I suspect a convenient distraction from my irrefutable arguments.

Strange group-thinkers in this place. Let me know when you have a real argument after you stop imagining I am someone else. I have never been banned. I put forward rock-solid tips for the future of DayZ and the only responses are well-poisoning. I am above this kind of child-like behavior and stick to evidence and facts to support my claims. Truth is the bugs are quite minor and don't disrupt the primary military combat experience that DayZ is famous for, being born out of a game that is based on military combat, Arma. The bugs in DayZ mod were far worse. There are simple work-arounds for 99 percent of these bugs anyways. Bows are certainly not important as every intelligent player will drop the bow after they find a real gun in a house within a few minutes. Notes and books are also pretty much pointless except for the minority of role-players in DayZ. They will be abused with excessive profanity, racist and sexist messages that will only create a toxic gaming environment. Like the developers said these are simply flavor features which can be added on at the very end once the core PvP experience has been perfected. Its fine that they catered to the minority of hard-core survivalists for 1.06 but coming into 2020 we need the focus back on PvP or the game will lose its momentum despite being one of a kind.

I am not trolling, you just can't accept that people have a different opinion from you. My arguments are constructed from evidence and logic.

Thank you so much developers for your precious grueling work which has given us this masterpiece we call DayZ. The community is truly blessed to have this gift and please do not be troubled by the constant barrage of hate you receive. They are really only projecting their hatred of themselves onto a beautiful game. That said, here are my top 3 requests which I believe will make this glorious DayZ a work of utter perfection: 1) Please remove hunger and hydration to streamline the PvP experience. As it is now we cannot have authentic gunfights because we will die waiting for the enemy to arrive while sniping in the dangerous military zones. Food and water is fun as a visual animation for role-players but for serious players we need these chores out of the way to leave room for what DayZ does best: military zone death-matches. 2) Please put all the infected out of the military areas because they just become a nuisance when trying to have authentic battles with other warriors. I suggest putting them in the forests this way the role-players who are afraid to go into cities or military zones and who also complain about no PvE will have a battle ahead of them. This will allow the serious fighters to focus on what DayZ does best. 3) Please increase the weapons and ammo as I can hardly ever find the best assault rifles to have the authentic military battles nearly every survivor is craving. Right now I can only rarely find guns and even rarer is assault rifles. I recommend 1 assault rifle to spawn per military tent every 5 minutes. This will allow us players to find a deadly weapon every single time we go into the military zone for intense combat and especially after we die we can quickly run back to the military zone, grab a gun , and continue with the great action that DayZ does best. Rather than looking for hours and hours to find a weak pistol and maybe an assault rifle once a year. Thank you for everything you have done to make DayZ a success now we just need some balancing tweaks like I have just recommended to bring out the true heart of DayZ which is intense PvP mayhem. Don't worry about any minor issues like inventory or cars working because those are barely noticeable when doing authentic military battles. If you fix them thank you very much but you can take your time with this and put focus where it is truly needed the most.
