Click here for Civil Uprising 2014 After the collapse of the Soviet Union on December the 26 1991 the historical state of Chernarus along with its northern neighbour Livonia found Independence After a decade of rebuilding under the leadership of President Yuri Zobnin of the National resurrection party Chernarus began to thrive thanks to its ports, airports and historical attractions bringing in large numbers of tourists annually Livonia on the other hand struggled to build on its independence with government in fighting and corruption. By 2010 as Chernarus was building strong relations with western alliances, Livonia was declared bankrupt, this causing an uprising of civil unrest, overthrowing the old government. By March 2011 the people of Livonia appointed former VDV officer Ruslav Pyatov head of the Livonia national union party as president By the beginning of 2012 the Livonian government blamed Chernarus government for their downfall over their import and export taxes and strict border controls. Livonia were forced to declare a state of emergency and asked for government aid from their Russian neighbours Russia sent a team of diplomats to organise a deal, but they never arrived This causing Russia to send in the Russian Airborne Forces “Vozdushno-desantnye voyska Rossii" (VDV) A small unit of VDV troopers was sent to Livonia under the pretext of finding and rescuing the Russian diplomats After gathering more intel, the Russian government believed that the Chernarus relief force led by Artem Smolov were responsible. This bringing the Russian no choice but to deploy troops into Livonia boarders as an intimidating action The Livonian government saw this as an opportunity to move against Chernarus and with the backing of the Russian government sent the Livonian military to Chernarus borders After months of denial by the Chernarus government, the UN intervened sending a team into Chernarus to help mediate and prevent action Tensions grew and Livonia declared war with the backing of Russia on the 28 January 2013 By the end of February, the Chernarus boarders had been breached forcing the Chernarus Defence force to retreat The Livonia National Front are an underground movement formed in the wake of the tensions between Chernarus and Livonia, infiltrated the northern district of troitskoe before being held off by the CDF After 3 months of slowly making ground there was reports coming from the west that there was a lot of unusual infections and sickness rapidly spreading throughout the northwest of Chernarus. The southern factions of CDF came up with medical support and supplies and made many attempts to contain and destroy the outbreak. They tried to evacuate the northern cities and set up roadblocks. But, even with these attempts, they were clearly getting overwhelmed by the Infected. The Chernarus government sent for outside help as their scientists and researchers were unable to find a source The soldiers either began to fled to the forest or became Infected themselves over a matter of weeks most of the soldiers were dead, the remaining CDF fell back to troitskoe as a last hope of maintaining control. only the immune survived 9 months after the outbreak this is where we are this is where YOU ARE
