    Chenarus, just Chapter 1.

    True-beans. Much loot?
  2. SixTsevN

    Chenarus, just Chapter 1.

I think I will, thanks for the suggestion. From what I understand, Lingor is more combat based; in your face sort of experience?
  3. SixTsevN

    Chenarus, just Chapter 1.

    In the NW?
  4. Hey Survivors and Bandits, I was just thinking that maybe Chenarus could just be one province in the world of DayZ. I've run the entire length of Chenarus, from NW Airfield, to North East Airfield, Guba Bay, Cherno, Elektro, Msta, Stary Sobor. I don't think there is a single area of Chenarus that I haven't been to now. But I can't help but feel smothered. I can understand some peoples immediate objections. 225km2 is a huge space but, I am not the best or most seasoned DayZ player and yet Chenarus doesn't seem big enough. I can't seem to hide a camp or vehicle without it being found. I can't seem to build a hq in DayZ because everyone knows where everything is. I would like to suggest that maybe Chenarus be just one map of DayZ amongst a handful. Chenarus has been walked by everyone dozens of times. No where seems to be fresh or undiscovered; which is something you would expect from a post apocalyptic wasteland. Perhaps Rocket's team could design other maps that connect to Chenarus and divide them with loading zones. I don't want to seem ungreatful for the size of DayZ, I just would like to see actual colonies starting emerge from DayZ; different societies of survivors and perhaps just maybe somewhere that you can call home. Perhaps a place worth defending? I just want to see DayZ keep evolving from and carrying on with the same raw survival experience it started with. -SixT
  5. Hey there, Are the CCO Assault Rifle Variations compatible with night vision goggles?
  6. Hey there, From what I know about DayZ, your character is stored at the hive and is registered to your CD-key. If you were to change your name on your OA/Arma2 Profile, will it erase your hive character? Or will the name simply swap, because it is linked to your cd-key?

    Long Standing, Reliable Server

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'm located in AUS, for those who were asking. As long as I get a ping under 300 I'm pretty happy.
  8. Hey there, I'm looking for a reliable, long term server to start playing on. I recently had a vehicle which was absolutely packed out with guns, tools and rare items and the server was pulled down and discontinued. You can imagine how disheartened my partner Survivor and I was. Do you know of any servers that have been around for a while and will likely hang around for a while?

    Car Keys/ Hot-wiring

I totally agree. I recently found and built a V3S (IN THE DARK) and I am very protective of this mobile camp as it is packed full of goodies. I believe if you found a survivor with car keys on them it would give you a very exciting objective of trying to find the nearby car and the person that lost their keys would have the chance of tracking down the bandit that killed and took the keys and get their vehicle back. I think it would add a fantastic element to the game. I think if hot wiring kits were introduced, they should be extremely rare. I would be so pissed off if someone stole my car, without having the manners to shoot me in the face first.
  11. Well DayZ is constantly being updated and made better(including the animations); just making your weapon lower when you bump into a wall, to improve mobility won't compromise the game type and overall experience.
  12. Sweet. I'll try it out too.
  13. Hey there, I was thinking about something the other day, that came to mind when I was walking up a stairwell in DayZ and I was unable to turn around with my rifle drawn. I like the way that when you have a gun that extends a fair bit away from your body, that you can't turn against a wall and must find enough room to turn with your weapon protruding. I related this game physic between DayZ and Red Orchestra 2. Like or loath Red Orchestra, they did have some innovative weapon and terrain collision physics. Could the development team make you automatically withdraw your weapon against your body, like in red orchestra? It would temporarily make you unable to fire or at least fire strait and it wouldn't sacrifice your proximity to a wall; for examples sake if you were wanting to peak around a corner of a wall, while very close to it or peak over a chest high wall. Does anyone support this sort of weapon physics integration amongst survivors and bandits?
  14. Hey there, I'm thinking about transfering my combined ops data from my pc to laptop so I can go to a friends house and play DayZ together. I was going to just transfer all of the combined ops files to my laptop but, I really just want the DayZ game save with all my stuff in it. Where in the (steamapps>common>Arma2/Arma2 OA) folder is the save data for my DayZ character?
