Ummm better hardware?? Unless im missing something the only options you really have are the server sizes...I mean sure they can move you around from hardware to hardware from ip to ip but unless im rather unlucky ive moved at least 1-3 times and it has not gotten better... To my knowledge the extra ram only really helps with minecraft servers so whats the option?? I honestly mean that cause if i can make my server perform better in some manner then id like too?? I assume this being console update section you are talking ps4 and not pc(who have other options for hosting an service unlike us)??

If your playing on a server that has removed the chance then that will happen. If not your prob just unlucky as the % chance is rather low i think by default.

I assume the way you are talking this isnt the issue but just in case you have added a longer lifetime to said tents in the files correct? Mine are all set to 3888000(tents that is) Have no issues with tents or any other storage on my server staying in place so far.

Im really not sure what to make of these posts. What is the deal with those of you who play on these "official servers"?? Is it the official in the word that gets you guys riding hard for official and talk about private like its some weird taboo should be shunned thing? As ive said on other posts sure you have to find a decent one that doesnt have 12 yr olds running it but for this given situation is better in ever way then official servers... Any of you ever heard of a certain someones definition of insanity?? Just in case....Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. You keep joining these servers...Keep getting worked by hackers...Keep complaining(not even in the right area as others have said over and over) about said hackers and getting absolutely nothing done... Yet you keep coming back and starting the whole process over....I hate hackers cheaters exploiters or any of the lot but they certainly clearly have more sanity then any OP or those who add to any if this subject. I mean do any of you even have a rational reason that your so anti private servers? Anything that actually cant be fixed by a lil trial and error of finding a decent community and one that is set to the style you want to play? You all seem content to show up every once in a while find yourselves a concrete wall and just bash your heads against it until you put yourself down...May i ask? But for whhhhyyyyy?

Thats cause everyone is stuck on stupid ass easy mode where everything is explained out to you every step of the way and you can join some match search out your people an instantly be in the same place... Well kiddies this isnt that game. Dont get me wrong if consoles ever get even nearly as much modding as pc then stuff like that is possible and makes sense for those specific servers and play styles... Even with extra loot and shit the base game how it is now(for consoles)is not meant for all that make it easy for you crap. I guess if easy mode is what you are searching for go ahead an wait long enough maybe consoles will get there. If not better bring yo ass to pc cause thats currently the only place your truely getting that...

Personally i cant stand that either...Whoever heard of every single night being bright and able to see a couple blocks away.....When my server launches it will have darker nights selected and the personal light shutoff. There shall be darkness!

Yup. While there is dupers you have to look into i would always suggest going to a private server. Outside of finding one that isnt run by bitchy lil children who finally have a lil power(lol yes from hosting a dayz server) and bitch an ban anyone for any dumb shit i would still always go for private. Search till you find a community thats in line with your playstyle or at least something you can play on without breaking rules and go that route. Sure they cant be perfect unless they are one of the large ones when dealing with dupers and stupid people but its got to be better then nada.

Ive packed up an set up the few i have multiple times. Like its been said nothing in it or on it (camonet) then i go to the back (just like on the tents big an small) look at said packing and the option to pack up should come.

Umm i think there is a bit more of an underlying problem here. If you have wanted something for 5 years and couldnt save up for a copy? Or even more so the thing has been on sale as much as any game ive seen in the store since hitting ps4 and even without the above comment saying pc goes on sale quite regularly i would have assumed it. Even as a teenager with no job if i wanted something as badly as you say i would of made it happen with that kinda timeline. If your saying through others opinions it kept you from purchasing till now and you were absolutely going to buy it this time then problem is solved cause you clearly already have the money so if you been waiting 5 years whats the big deal with holding the money you must already have if you were buying it with a longer pc sale and buying it in another 1-3 months when its on sale again?? Pointless post if thats the case.

First and foremost any file you are even thinking about editing...MAKE A COPY!!! You can always screw up the copy you are working on (and there is even a script checking site for the xml file) and still be fine cause you can always put that original back in if there is an issue. It will tell you line by line letter place by place what is wrong until its all fixed. After that i would follow the other suggestion and maybe do a few searches or better yet join a few private server communities some of the more active larger ones have some guys who really know what they are doing already. Between them youtube and reddit you should have a good start.. P.S. this is from a guy who couldnt have even begun to do any of this and in the last 2 weeks i managed to correctly alter the xml file set up server messages alter a few animals in the other file code and build (an admittedly nothing special discord channel) its nothing to anyone in the know but im semi impressed with myself over it! Sure without those 3 i mentioned i would of been assed out but hey gotta make the tools work for your purposes even if you dont really know or understand how they work per say 🙂

And seemingly as you are moving foward or backwards pressing the environment in one direction or the other but for me i dont get any of that if im sidestepping. Seems a lil weird to be walking sideways at times but if i wanna get a look at something while moving occasionally its easier...I have found the R1 thing to otherwise work which is replacing the sidestepping a bit now lol.

Just a side note. If this was a despawn thing depending on what server you are playing im pretty sure the cars come with a short or shorter then hoped for despawn time the owner might wanna go into those files we have access too and make the lifetime alot longer. Good ole 3888000 lifetime and there hasnt been one car to disappear on my server as of yet. Well minus the one my buddy just couldnt stop smashing up...That one yes eventually despawned lol...The rest are still with us. Some for at least a week or so.

Cant recall but i assume ive lit one since the patches... Simple method. Putting it all here even the duh parts cause who knows what you are missing. Drop a log on the ground. Grab a single rag or sheet of paper (should get option to craft fireplace or w.e by looking) craft it. Grab said matches in hand and look at it for light fire option. Psst light fire. What i have noticed in recent patches it seems you can only place so many logs and small braches(pre lit) and apparently not while the fire is burning anymore like i used to do.

While i feel for everyone having this issue id be lieing if i didnt say i was glad it isnt just me and my server. Cause i was already dreading eventually sending in another support ticket to get shit altered and moved after all that was just done over the 90 min crash loop my server was in for about 7 or so days... These guys...

Dupers should be shot, stabbed, tarred and feathered drawn and quartered at town square. Just saying. Yeah i dont even play on official servers either. They are just horrible people really. Play games for what they are anything else shows your tiny peen.

Depending how accurate the video was it was explained that cooking/roasting increased food efficiency by 75% and only 25% for boiled. But he did say boiled would hold more hydration levels to it. Ive wondered the same about what does or doesnt happen to some thing in a cooking pot with water. Obviously they get wet but do they get damaged over time? Does the water stay healthy if i dump 6 loaded clips into there? Suffice it to say i wouldnt wanna drink water from a pot that was holding most any of the items i put in there so does it become harmful and maybe need to be purified again or no?

What servers you run on? Im on a few(all community pretty much) an dont mind potentially acquiring another roaming buddy.

Simple way to tell....Load the game find a Livonia server and hit load in. If it works your good if not obviously not. You cant think of Livonia like an add on. Its more like a map pack like an extra map you dl for C.O.D. You dont have a whole new app or anything like that you just have access to another map. I did the same thing looking for it and just decided to try a lovinia map and i loaded in.

So untill now i either didnt eat raw meat or when i did i had multivitamins to clear it up so all was well. Unfortunately recently by necessity i had to munch raw meat with no meds... Interesting developement..After however long having the sickness from eating im hidden away from some gunfire. Ive even got a landmine set up right out side (hoping to jack somone for food and meds) and suddenly a maddening half laugh almost half cry starts happening.. Im like WTF??? Some random zombie around that i cant hear moving making this sound somehow?? A player doing some weird shit with chat?? An added ambient noise that the game decided to throw out to screw with me like anytime your out in the woods?? Nope. Nada. None of the above...I eventually came to the conclusion/truth of the matter... It was bloody MEEE!! My guy was slowing losing his shit more and more as time passed and i didnt get treatment. Let me tell you if you havent heard it before it is creepy vile and can leave you disgruntled a bit hearing it over and over. In my head it sounds like the final moments....the final bits of sanity leaving his head just as he is full fledge becoming the Joker.

While i agree the rain is overly annoying these days i also have found it to be less and less of an issue. I always had the thought the rain would ruin my gear each time or wouldnt dry either for a seriously long time or not at all somehow. None of which is true. Maybe it brings the quality down faster (im not sure) but the rest mehhh. Plus ive run in a few rain storms now and although i havent gone to the extent of being out in say 2 or 3 storms back to back ive never even gotten a cough or any sickness from the cold and being soaked. Clothes tend to dry prob within 5 or so mins depending how wet they got. Additionally if you have various pills and or heat packs even cooked food apparently still holds some form of heat value while on your person you can walk freely out in it. Whether pills or injections if they will keep you warm you could probably roll around on the ground and be just fine. Personally the more i learn from in game play and various videos when i need some tips the less of an issue the rain becomes. Really tho learning trees can provide dry cover to any degree mostly rendered the rain neutered to me.

Def have not tried this yet. But the video also showed that if you get cut open and cant bandage if you just stand still for 5 minutes straight it will apparently cauterize the wound on its own and you will be good to go.

Well we recently discovered this through the need and later the hope that we would try w.e to stay alive. Multivitamins are my new best friend/most loved item in the game now. We found that you can eat any or at least certain types of raw meat without getting sick (deer, chicken, we have tried) i dont think we tested human yet if you just have 2 multivitamins. The weird virus thing wont even pop up if you hoover 2 vites before or after eating raw meat. Animal and human fat are prob 2 of the best edible things in the game (especially cooked) and its my understanding the human fat will not get you sick. Dont know about animal or either for that matter cause we havent tested it but i seen that in ome of those 106 dayz tips. Which is where i offer my next wisdom. When its raining and your trapped outside find trees!! If they are big enough or are bunched enough or you can get under/inside them then do it the trees can provide either full cover of done well or at least lessen it. A buddy and I just last night only got damp in a rain storm and we were only so well under cover from our respective trees. Even if its not full proof if your trapped out and going to risk dancing in the rain anyway then you might as well give it a whirl. One of the posters is correct. Prob better then 80-90% of the time you really dont need to disinfect the bottle (i do anyway just to be safe if i have it) but here is where caution may serve you. I say this as ive already thought of setting people up like this myself. You can use your disposable water bottle cause you have a few maybe even some canteens. Will work especially well if you have tetra pills. Go ahead get yourself sick and then you slug that water bottle so that sickness is on bottle not just a microbe from the water source. Obvioisly heal yourself up then take unsuspecting bottle to some place that A someone will run into but also B a bit off the path of nearby water increasing the chances of them not being careful and thorough and needing to use. Now your effectively killing off survivors without ever even coming into contact. Unless you wait it out to see your dastardly plan play out lol. Now your on some Lex Luthor shit bring this world and the survivors in it to their knees all with the power of a little fun thought 🙂 so yeah if it wasnt clear if your dying anyway and need food. Slaughter any animal or human near by carve em up and if you got those vites pop a couple and go to town on them meats!! Btw if your playing on Chernarus and you end up spawning at the hell hole of kimbIwobo there is water just north of that stupid place up on the hill kinda where those couple random houses are. Helpful cause i find that place to be the 9th circle of hell. Lots of freshies lots of Z's and crap all for items. Thats what i see there 99.99999999% of the time.

He is right about one thing. There are no friends at least not on ps4 lol. Not unless you bring them from irl to the game. In a couple months at best time my buddies and I went from the mind your own business just get by and mostly let bygones be and all. But no no no in just a short time we avoid or wait on potential interactions with other survivors just hiding out and potecting the house we currently were in. That was like stage 1 turnover. Stage 2 turns into a bit more. We may still play it safe and smart but now we are actively looking for advantageous situations where we have the upper hand hunting down all but maybe fresh spawns (honestly that depends on food) if we are in serious need then those frehies need to be fleeced for potential fruit. That really hasnt happened much but i/we wouldnt hesitate. 3rd stage i know will be a complete abandonment of cares and not only will we likely look to hunt down any gunshot we hear in the distance but those freshies might have to catch some death still cause at that point i think we might unknowingly transition to full blown bandits. Needless to say our style of bandit wont be very nice or have much shame left for the actions we take. This is a letter from a once mostly moral team of friends and family. This world and the remaining people in it demand a far more sinister brand of human being to sustain on these roads!
