Official servers all players use Hack!!!!
Alphajim replied to jaddethin's topic in General Discussion
I still have to see any cheater since the new engine... 😅 I dunno how but playing on official and never killed by any cheater. -
Haven't had a real bug since 1.08. I begin to think all the problems I see here and on Steam are linked to community servers and mods.

The DayZ Hacker Problem (You will not like this)
Alphajim replied to tandwan's topic in General Discussion
Well they cheat because. They're often kids wanting to pwn others because they're too bad to make it themselves, or guys wanting some "fun", or some others use it to get revenge... Cheats are everywhere, even on a small forgotten game like Build'N'Shoot Ace of Spades 0.75. You don't need to hack the matrix to cheat in this game, otherwise not every public server would be infected by cheaters. -

Your ideas about spawning with friend is nice, except the custom spawn point made by friend. Too much abuse, and the whole fun of this game is to gear up again after having been killed. We're not in ArmA 3 Wasteland. For your "change server" problem, then don't change server ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That's the only way to go since it was made to stop the server hoping meta. It's even useful if you want to go to a random location. Globally if you play with a friend, find a decent server (private or public) and stick to it, then if you have to meet don't run in the open and only stop when behind a decent cover. What this game need is a proper "group" system.

There's already mods for that.

While I kinda like the sling idea, having to use a sling to get any gun on the shoulder would be too hardcore for many people. Maybe increase the time needed to take a shoulder gun, while slings reduce this time ? Different versions of slings (improvised, civilian or military) would affect this time. Durability could be based on the weapon - the more the gun is damaged, the more your sling take damage when you take / shoulder your gun. Like any other gun attachment, you could "fold" it to not use it (if you found a damaged valuable gun).

As an option it could be nice, I've a friend on a console version and I'm playing PC. But if enforced it would be lame, especially if they add this dumb aim assist console thing like in Fortnite (this game's not bad to chill - if you forget the dumb jump/build people).

Switch server, currently you won't get any help for official servers. Plus nothing in this game is worth enduring harrassment, not even bases.

Well goodbye... If you quit for one death it's definitely not your kind of game. One or two years ago, I got my legs broken on a room with the only door having stairs, so I got stuck with nothing to kill myself. I had to wait for 1 hour to die from starvation.

Starting to give up here, KINDLY help.
Alphajim replied to Proserpine's topic in New Player Discussion
@Proserpine I suggest you to play stealth in this game, at least in towns and bases. I know moving while crouched is slow, but you'll make less noises, be less eye-attractive and will avoid more easily the infected. Being pursued by infected in a town is a sure way to tell other players you're here. Don't hesitate to take some time to look at your environment in towns, from time to time. For big towns, try to hear for gunfight sounds, scout tall buildings / firestations or police stations as there's useually some people there. Having a high ground spot (like hills) is nice to check for other players in the area. Never rush brainlessly, especially at open areas close to cities and at fountains. And more importantly if you spot a player try to keep some safe distance, if you have to engage contact have some cover in case he would shoot you and try to have some backdoor to flee. If you have to flee, don't run in straight line and try to break from the shooter's line of sight. Don't engage a player if : You don't have any gun while he does. He seems full geared with military clothes / equipments and an assault rifle (AK / M4 / AUG) - these ones are very often here to kill on sight and feel like russian Rambo. He has a clown / halloween mask - probably a troll who will try to kill you. Don't trust a player if : He keep repeating "I'm friendly" or is constantly moving back and forth while talking. He ask your nationality (french seem to be hated in these games for example). He don't answer (even hand gestures) but rush you. -
Same. I understand the complaints about the unfinished game or weird development choices, but if you played since some years it was worth the 15-30 bucks. Even way more worth than a lot of AA titles.

Depends of the server. I play on the same public EU server everytime and even on the darkest nights there's 20-30 players at least. It's common to hear some gunshots or real fights on the next town / base.
-
Don't run unless really needed and just jog until you find some water and food. If you find some animal, kill it and skin it (just need any stone or metal knife), then cook it on a fire using a long stick (short sticks + rags or bark for fireplace ; short sticks or firewood to fuel it ; matches or short sticks + bark to lit fire). And check for any fruit under fruit trees.

I never considered things like bases, stashes and tents to be worth it in any MP survival game (including Unturned and Exile mod for ArmA 3). Unless you play all the day. Why bothering with that when some random dude can destroy it when you're offline or away ? While I understand it's nice to get some backup loot stashed on the coast (or even just to expand your gear), this game was always about looting and not having the same gear each time. Those who play just for pure PvP might play on dedicated easy-loot servers or maybe play ArmA. TLDR : Actually I won't miss buried stashes if they are removed / nerfed as I never used them (not worth the time).
