Just a picture I drew once. I was in need of an avatar and I didn't have anything else better, so it serves its purpose.

My concern about DayZ atm (look please)

Nice video OP. Nothing warms the cockles of my heart like an optimistic newbie, gazing at the world of DayZ with wide eyed wonder for the first time. They're certainly a pain, but also a part of the game that can be dealt with given time and effort, for example by wandering around said hills with a hatchet. ;) Though it was kinda funny the first few times, there's just something upsetting about being turned into a goat or launched 50 feet into the air. -
Excellent work Crios, you should consider joining the Regulators - we're a loose organisation of players dedicated to assisting and protecting new spawns and players in trouble, and to providing some healthier competition to bandits operating along the coast. We could make use of your team's skill set and provide you with the opportunity to liaise with like minded players. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/42919-law-to-lawless-lands/page__hl__regulators

It was during my first ever foray into Cherno with a mate. After raiding the supermarket we were travelling back to the fire station where we had set up our base of operations. Unfortunately, as we crossed the street we managed to agro a worryingly high number of the undead. We would have been fine. I ran first, my mate ran second, drawing the zombies away so I could climb up the ladder to the fire station roof and provide covering fire for him. Unfortunately for both of us, one of the zombies followed me up the ladder. Taken by surprise, I slipped and fell (see: ran without looking) off the edge of the roof, shattering both of my legs in the fall. I was eaten alive while my friend looked on helplessly, presumably haunted by my screams for the rest of his days.

Law to Lawless Lands

Some of my gaming buddies and I decided to take up the role of regulators to spice up our usual scavenging trips. We typically try to find a sniper rifle or DMR, and binoculars before climbing to a vantage point over whatever city we find ourselves in. When there we will watch for survivor activity - we help them fight off zombies or bandits, provide food and medical assistance, and show newbies the ropes. The same goes for any players we encounter while travelling that aren't immediately hostile. I find it to be a very rewarding way to play, and as long as there's skilled bandits around to test our mettle it never gets dull! I'd love the chance to join up with more like minded players. :) -
Bandit, Camper or Punk Ass Bitch?

A ghillie suit on top of the hospital should stick out like a sore thumb. I'd advise finding a rifle of your own, going to somewhere with high elevation and a good view, and blowing his kneecaps off. They also move slowly towards a player who stays in one spot and eats or drinks, or so I've heard. -

A pleasure to read, thank you. :) -
I love how polite he was. :D That's probably the best lesson you can learn though - don't trust people, at least at first. But don't completely isolate yourself, some of the best fun to be had in this game is in joining forces with trustworthy strangers.

Fixed it for you. ;)

Instead of bragging about your prowess as a bandit making the game dull (though I do not doubt your skill, kudos to you), why don't you change your play style a little? There's more than one way to play DayZ. -
So does eating and drinking, or so I've been told.

Probably just bad luck on your behalf. Some days you can't move for weapons and ammo, it pays to stock up while you can.

Most intense moment of forever. (For me anyways)

Shame on you for DCing mate, but everything up until that point was a pleasure to read. I'm sure if crossbow guy was here he would forgive your momentary weakness. -

This has got to be a joke right? Because I read your story and thought "Wow, this guy had a really exciting first time, successfully evading zombies while unarmed and braving the bandit infested streets of Cherno!" If I see a sniper take another player's head off it's a real buzz because I know the next few minutes will be a challenge to survive, whether I'm freshly spawned or strapped to the gills. Sneaking and spying on survivors is challenging fun and finding your first proper weapon is a thrill; as far as I can tell you had an ideal DayZ experience. I'd suggest trying to approach the game from a fresh perspective - try and play it differently to mix things up a bit. Alternate between survivor and bandit, stalk people without them noticing, fire a gun in the middle of the city and see how many zombies you can fight off, fix up a vehicle, be a medic or gun for hire, join a clan, blast k-pop through your mike from the rooftops if that's what you want. DayZ is a sandbox game, and there are very few limits beyond your imagination.
