Its a gun that puts ANYONE down in ONE SHOT, who cares? Ok at a distance it doesnt put down plates instantly but even then you have 20 more bullets to shoot them with and they even stagger. I still prefer it over any gun except the SVD.

I really liked the past updates! My suggestion for next years update is to add some really unique stuff. We got cool guns which were assault rifles and bolt action and so on we already have a bunch of. But Machine guns and rocket launchers and bows would be reaaally cool since we dont have any of those and they are really epic. Other Examples: Deringer for cool hidden guns (in boot), KSVK anti material rifle from ARMA2 for epic highest caliber rarest gun. If we get just another almost same variant of an already existing gun or just another 5.56 assault rifle it will be cool but not as cool as something truly new and unique.

As long as its realisitc its not op. The fast firerate is more realistic than the previous uncool one. Removing the coolness from the game is not the solution. I think the problem is that some guns are more realistic than others. Against unarmored players the mp5 is pretty authentic this is fine in my opinion. But what is not as authentic is that you can ezpz shred a fully plate armored player with an mp5 but an armor penetrating giant round VSS has big problems doing that.

DayZ is very cool. I have some suggestions for it to become EPIC by fulfilling its full potential and going the extra mile other games are too scared to go, this always made DayZ the amazing game it always was. -Mouse 1 shoots your gun whenever the character has the finger on the trigger (already made a thread about this). Falling, Sitting, middle-finger-raising, running, all this you could do and shoot at the same time in .62 and earlier. -Re-add that when you shoot yourself you actually shoot yourself. I thought it was very funny and also cool that you could shoot yourself in the foot if you wanted or were just extremely uncareful. -Badly damaged guns should go off whenever they are thrown hard onto the ground or used for striking players/zombies/chickens. I always have to laugh when people throw loaded guns around (off high buildings) in-game because of how reckless it looks. Maybe some of the guns in-game have an irl tendency to go off when handled roughly already and this could be added in-game for those guns only. -Add soft melee attacks for guns that don't require stamina and also the possibility to block with a gun (without the current glitch that lets you block) just as normal melee weapons have. Blocking a sledgehammer with a (damaged/prone to falsely fire) gun should have a chance for it to fire. Someone is surpisingly swinging a sledgehammer at my head while i have my gun out and no stamina? If only I wasnt holding my gun now, because instead of raising my hand in the way I will now have to take the sledgehammer to the face please! 😉 -Damaged rounds can fail to fire instead of only having a chance to get stuck after firing. I would like to see the old and new gun jam mechanic combined. It was cool to load ruined rounds into peoples guns to troll them. -Ability to operate the gun out of someone elses hands. So this guy is sitting right next to you with his gun aimed at his friends head? Just push his finger onto the trigger and knock him out afterwards, you get two peoples loot for the price of one knock out! -Shooting the gun/axe someone is holding (possible for years in .62 and older), damaging it or ruining it (not possible before). Please add this because it would be cool. -Items held in hands get a hitbox please. In .62 you could hold all kinds of stuff infront of you as a shield or you could clash meelee weapons in epic gardening hoe vs fire extinguisher duels. Rushing geared guys with a jerrycan was a good idea because it would block all the bullets aimed at your chest and knocked people out with one smack to the face.

Unless there are just thousands and thousands of hacker and new hackers again and again flooding DayZ, Battleye has COMPLETELY not held up their part of the deal. They get paid to keep the game hacker free right? Then Bohemia should get a huge refund. The MAJORITY of the time the past YEARS the public servers have been riddled with hackers. Often you can't play for longer than 30 minutes on 3pp public high pop without dropping instadead inside a house with no line of sight to anyone. It has been absolutely ridicoulusly hacker ridden. How can they fail THIS bad? Is it just really easy to get really cheap DayZ keys in some parts of the world, so that hey can just make new hack accounts every day? Can they not detect the hacks? Are the hack creators hacking geniuses that make impossible to detect hacks? This has been a major flaw of the game for years now, anyone who considers buying this game should know that they HAVE to search for a proper community servers unless they don't mind being griefed (with hacks hhehe). What really interests me is all hackers i ever spoke to said that they were from china or sounded like they had a similar accent, except for the american friendly hacker who told me he hacks to kill hackers haha. How come? Especially in this game getting hacked ruins the experience. There was a period of a few months where every time i got exceptionally rare loot I instantly got killed by a hacker before i could use it (My whole squad drops dead spread across the whole town in buildings at the same time and so on), this really takes away any wanting to play if the whole gameplay (loop) has the reward part taken out. Other than that my favorite game ever 🙂

Roofzombies just stand there screaming and watching you. How cool would it be if they just disregard the roof and walk straight off it, faceplanting meters down below onto the ground maybe breaking some arms and legs and then continue crawling/running towards you like the crazy infected people they are. I think it would look very insane and terrifying, would also be very atmospheric. 🙂

I wouldnt say that. The only thing we know according to the code is that they prepared the spawning of feathers. Even if its for the bow you can't say *when* it will be added. NBC clothes were added to the code fully working 3 years before contamination zones. -
In the previous updates i would find at least one NVG on NWAF if i looted it completely, sometimes in unlucky cases not. I started playing only 1.15 since it dropped on exp and also on stable, I have not found a single NVG since! I like. They should be very rare.

Very nice update, and so quick! Nice! Hit indicator: In 9 years of playing DayZ i never thought hmmm if only i had a hit indicator. You either see or hear the attacker or he is silenced so that you shouldnt have much of an indication where he is at. I don't think i would instantly know irl where i got shot from within one second. Also it is immersion ruining cartoon blood in your eyes. That's not how blood squirting into your eyes would look like, so it cannot be explained by realism. If i made some cool DayZ video the last thing I would want is some unnecessary blood effect in the camera distracting from cool shots. It completely takes me out of the immersion of the game, a HUD element that is unneeded, unrealistic, doesnt fit a hardcore authentic anti-arcade baby handholding DayZ and literally thrown in your face. If the devs decide to go with the indicator to simulate feeling where you get hit from they should definetly have the current vignette shock effect altered a bit, make the vignette deformed into the direction the damage came from. But don't do it I dont want hit indicators. Other than that: Very good job! I love the sawed off LEMAS. TLDR: REEEEEEEEE!!!

its f-ing hard to snipe moving targets. and you havr to get the zeroing straight. and ontop of that bullets loose a lot of damage at range. its hard enough.

My opinion on DayZ balancing: I think most videogame balancing hurts DayZ. FAMAS and M16 not having attachments is balancing done right, because: Just as in real life you can't (easily) attach the existing scopes, it makes sense that these old/exotic guns dont have all kinds of specifically designed attachments lying around in Chernarus. Ok now that one tiny compliment has ben made, I am now allowed to complain as much as i want: ALERT, (constructive) COMPLAINING: I absolutely disliked other "balancing" attempts such as the one update where they changed the gunshot volume. It was baffleingly unrealistic and lame and it was done so that lower tier weapons had the benefit of not being as loud, low tier players would not be noticed from as far when shooting. That was just completeley insanely unauthentic, you would blast a giant shotgun in a village and someone 500 meters down the street would hear nothing. Or that other update where they made Assault rifles really inaccurate so that you would be forced to pick a bolt action to snipe. That was so lame as hell, I had a lot of fun sniping with already inferior at range assault rifles and I was never bothered by people using them to snipe. All it did was irritate people, you can snipe with ARs irl (i think idk) so how come i cant hit anything a bit further away? It was not fun and it was also not authentic or hardcore just lame and annoying. Thankfully they rolled back on those changes, kind of. Now you can snipe with an AR but you need a scope, scopes double the accuracy of a gun. This is again completely lame. Not realistic, not authentic not fun. It is fun to snipe with iron sights, it makes you feel like a hawk *gurr gurr*! It is really hard to snipe with iron sights because you can't see, now you can't shoot at range without a scope for no reason and it is lame. I had some awesome moments in the past where i got an iron sight shot at 200+ meters and i felt like the biggest pro in the world, what did this change bring with it?: -Feeling of being the biggest pro in the world/and or being the biggest hawk in the world removed -Added unrealism and irritation that nobody asked for But yeah most of the time the balancing is perfectly inbetween hardcore authenticity and fun, those 3 examples that i didnt like are the only ones i could pick out. I can never hear people until they are shooting me, no matter how close they get to me. This guy litterally touched my back and I didnt hear him apporach, I power attacked him in the face and got out my gun but his friend who i also didnt hear shot me. I have the game turned all the way up. My friend told me if you dont have the effects setting in-game turned to max some sounds get muted even if you have the game at 100000000000000 decibels, is this true? I feel very cheated getting jumped every time by people Running up to me, holding clinky clanky guns, wearing heavy boots, a giant backpack with all kinds of jingle jangle rounds, nades, mags, bottles and a helmet that jumbles around on their head. Is this meant to be?

This has been gamebreaking for over a year. Every half hour you can expect to get sniped through walls or any other unlikely sniping circumstance on 3pp pub. On 1pp pub you will have enough time to find good gear and THEN get instasniped but definetly BEFORE you ever get to do something fun with the gear. BUT! I have been having no problems with cars for months and months now. They only act crazy on exaggeratedly laggy servers which can be avoided by not playing on really laggy servers (i almost exclusively play on public) -
That would be silly. You can go to Zenit Radio and broadcast any offensive things you want to say all across the map already. You can name yourself anything in the game.

From time to time zombies will do really crazy pathing like running curves instead of running straight at you or stopping mid charge and then continuing a second later, it does not feel like they do it because the are infected, they act more in a broken/overloaded AI kind of way.

Arkensor has a community offline mode you can install. You spawn with equipment though and i dont know how to save. It's important to watch a lot of tutorials (Wobo), just learn on full servers like the cool kids!!!!

It was really hard but i got a full outfit and looted RIfy on a full server. Got AK74, AKM, VSS, SVAL and a nightvision scope. That was an ok payoff but next time i would rather go inland and loot milbases without gas instead. My friend looted it too he has 2 NBC, FAL and SVD. The aspect of it containing special good loot is not that interesting to me though, i prefer the previous (1.13) ways of getting good loot. You would gradually find better and better stuff along the way, in 1.14 I just looted the towns around Rify until I had a full suit and mainly finding low to medium tier loot. It felt like a chore and I got killed from time to time and had to start all over again, if I had just gone inland i would have gotten good loot along the way the whole time instead of this NBC suit and I would have gotten a good gun anyway eventually without this tediuous NBC collectathon.

I have died only once from this, and only because a wolf attack and starvation were stacked ontop of it, but I am an expert. If you learn the game you won't die from it anymore unless you disregard your infected wounds.

I also get this and i have a good pc. I play on Ultra settings and i never dip under 60 fps unless i open/close my inv it freezes for 1-10 seconds sometimes. Edit: I also get one milisecond to one second freezes when killing zombies or players. So does Wobo lol.

There should be a sound when people log out, like a loud yawn or something. The sound of someone in a room you have pinned down, sitting down is so quiet and sounds so much like any other movement, it makes it incredibly easy to combat log behind *any* cover you find. I agree with everything in this post.
